I visited this place to get chiropractic help for my sciatica and lower back pain. The dr cracked my back all over the place and I felt like new again. She was super nice and answered all my questions. She did tell me that I needed to come back if the pain returned. Of course, it doesn't help that I have an old soft mattress. Both cost around $60 for an hour. The service was wonderful. Everyone is laid back and just interested in helping you relax. W.O.W. Dr. Sandy has a new location, and it is amazing. I really liked the old Zen Den on Painter Ave, but this beats that by a mile (and the parking is so much easier now too). I returned for the "Emperor's Signature" massage. SOOOOOOO worth it. You get an awesome massage, acupuncture (if you haven't tried it, DO IT!!), cupping (it draws out the impurities in your body), and a much needed chiropractic adjustment. I wish I could have gotten a facial, but sadly, I didn't have the time today. But at least I have something to look forward to next time. I would highly recommend the Zen Den. This is my go to place when my back or neck feels out of whack, Dr. Sandy always gets me back in line, and the acupuncture is the best I've ever had, helps with the pain and inflammation. I have been coming here for about 7 years. The place is peaceful, I always get acupuncture for my back and and adjustment when needed and the relief is immediate for me, I don't do to many massages as I have bulging disc and I don't need any pressure placed on my back, but I have done 1 or 2 massages years ago here and they were good, I let the employee know my lower back issue and they stayed away so that was really cool that they asked me about any concerns or issues. I have also done the ultrasound here to help with any pain issue. Sandy is knowledgable and very kind and makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. Great place I love it. read more

We went in for a couples massage and it was alright. I told him my problem areas and he only spent a little time in those areas. Even tho it was only 30 minute massage. I wish he used a little more pressure and focused on the areas I said. I also don't care for their bath and body works lotions they use. The woman who adjusted us was okay as well. I didn't feel a lot crack and I felt like she was too petite and didn't use enough strength to adjust me properly. I felt okay after nice while it lasted I suppose but I will continue to go to my regular place and wouldn't try again. I've been going to Dr. Vidal for a couple of years for all sorts of aches and pains. I was initially forced to go here by a friend who couldn't stand to see me suffer from sciatica. I was able to get a same day appointment for the Emperor's special (massage, acupuncture, and chiropractic). I have never done acu before but I was game for anything to relieve my back pain. I was there for a little over an hour and I felt waaay better. I even had my foot treated for Morton's neuroma and was saved from having to go through foot surgery. Then she is able to prescribe the specific treatment from her vast array of options that she has ample expertise in. As a dancer, I went to see her after an aerials injury & she took care of me in one session. I was able to return to full rigors of rehearsals, competitions, & performances shortly after. Without her help the setback would of been huge. I am planning on returning just for maintenance care. About 5 years ago I had a severe and persisting lower back problem. I literally could not make it out of bed without rolling off and falling to the floor and to stand up was another mountain to climb. I would begin inching my way up the wall from my knees until I could stand upright. However, I still faced the problem of walking around like an old hunched over man. The pain was excruciating and my quality of life was severely impacted. Sandy and I went to grammar school together and so I decided to give her a call and explained my predicament. She immediately went to work on my back with a series of her Eastern/Western Chiropractic treatments. It took a few months of treatments to get my back healthy. However, it was a small price to pay for the quality of life I enjoy today. I am able to lift weights, participate in Boot Camp/Cross Fit activities, and have not had any major back issues since. (Exercise and healthy habits were strongly recommended by Dr. Sandy) I referred my cousin to her. He is a retired Army veteran thrillseeker who used to jump out of planes. His Doctor explained to him that he had degenerative disk/back issues and that it would only get worse without surgery and was prescribed pain killers to help him through his day to day life. I've been going to Dr Sandy for a year now. When I first walked into her office I couldn't walk without the help of a cane. I have a herniated disk that hits my sciatic nerves. I started out doing acupuncture and massage twice a week and gradually lessened my trips. I now go about every three months or so as needed. I really enjoy coming to the Zen Den. From the decor, to the music, to the scents, to the actual treatments themselves, this place is A+. She noticed some hyper-pigmentation though that has been bothering me since I had my son 6 years ago! She recommended some treatments and products to help correct it. My 4 star rating has to do with how expensive she is for the time she spends on you, $49 for a 15 minute session of acupuncture and she didn't apply a heat lamp. Been here twice, once for chronic migraines the other for lower back pain and spasms. For the migraine it helped me a little, however for the spasms helped me completely! Would get spasms 10 times or more an hour before treatment after maybe 1 time a day if any! Waiting area a little dusty, bathrooms clean, treatment rooms dim with color lighting with clam relaxing music playing. What I liked most about my visit was that she would constantly ask if the pressure was too much or if more was needed on certain areas.
