After a day of hiking we had dinner at The Feed. It was a great experience. The restaurant is family owned and you feel like you are a part of the family. Has a bar and the food is great. It's small, it's not fancy, but the food, wine and bourbon selection as well as the service service make up for it. Burgers were delicious as well as the rings and slaw. The real treat was the Buckshot wine! Yum! Semi-dry with just a hint of sweetness and a nice mild kick of heat to the back of your throat with each sip. We purchased a bottle to take home with us! This is a tough one. When we arrived, we were seated right away. Our waitress took our drink order and brought her drinks back right away. She took our order. We waited about 46 minutes and noticed that people came in after we had we're already receiving their food, we asked her waitress what was going on and she said she's not sure but she would check. When she came back, she apologized and said she's not sure what happened, but our food would be out right away. After we had been there a total of one hour and two minutes our food was brought to the table. That was the bad part but the food itself was outstanding probably one of the best burgers I've had in my life. My wife and granddaughter also felt the same way. I'm sure the mixup was just a one time thing and I would be willing to come back, and try it again. I wish them the best. read more

Surprisingly great food! A very diverse menu for a small town with excellent execution. I had the Moroccan the Boat burger because who doesn't want try a Middle East spiced burger? When walking into The Feed I noticed a sticker on door, "People on Yelp love us!" It's a smaller venue from outside but I believe capacity would be around 40 inside. They also have seating outdoors for about 16 people and a counter for 6-8 as well. Ambience is cheery blues with painted mosaic design accents. Simple tables and chairs but clean. The menu has typical diner type food but with a little twist for some items. We started with the Stuffed Mushroom Dip appetizer and OMG, it was fantastic! Wonderfully flavored and hot, homemade pita triangles that had a great 'chew' to them. I could have eaten them alone (I'm a bread person) and the dip - I could've eaten with a spoon like a savory pudding. I told my sister, "Go ahead and double dip if you want to" because you wanted every bite to have some dip. She had patty melt with side of mac-n-cheese and both items looked delicious she confirmed both were Very good. I tried the Pork Belly Cuban which was different: coarse mustard, pork belly (obviously), grilled ciabatta bread and initially missing the cheese? I asked our server, Jasmine(?) "Doesn't this come with cheese?" and she checked menu, took it back for me and they made a new one. She apologized multiple times but I wasn't upset and told her it was "Okay. You're making it right so don't worry." I tried their side Pea Salad which had a lot of diced ham in it and creamy sauce but I couldn't really taste much. It may have been because of the strong tastes from Cuban sandwich. I was rather full after finishing the appetizer so I took my salad and 1/2 sandwich home. A good crowd was coming while we were there and the staff was handling it well, dine in and carry out orders as well. Prices were 2-3 $'s which was fair for the high quality ingredients in their dishes. Wagu need in their smash burgers and my sister's Patty Melt . Facilities were basic and clean, though I felt like I was in an elementary or Jr High bathroom as the stalls were shorter! Lol As high as my shoulders (I'm 6'1") no hiding in the BR for me! So much potential, but poorly executed. We had been once before and I remember liking how interesting and unique the menu choices were. We ordered several items and most were highly disappointing. The burgers were so overcooked they were dry, without any juice. The buns weren't toasted, and some were cold like they came from the refrigerator. The food as a whole was not very hot. The chicken gyro was entirely cold. The French fries were very greasy, and weren't even eaten by anyone who ordered them. The fish in the fish basket was greasy and breading very thick. The bacon was floppy and chewy like it was undercooked. Overall for the price, we expected a quality of food to match the high price, but I can get better food for literally half the price at a chain burger restaurant nearby. Bright notes were the flavor combinations were well combined, and the onion rings were perfect as were the sweet potato fries. I hope The Feed can soon get a their kitchen to make the items on the menu to the quality they deserve. read more

The restaurant was fairly simple, but cute. I was disappointed at how dirty the bathrooms and kitchen floors were. Barf. After 30 minutes we watched our food sit in the kitchen window for another 5 minutes. The dinner salad was mediocre. The waitress encouraged us to the get lamb burger which was very dry. They did not bring us ranch for the wings (which were good) but charged us for the rub seasoning without letting us know. Best burger I have had in a long time. Perfect amount of lettuce tomato and onion for patty size. Many places don't have a clue that this is very important for a good burger. On the down side the fries are good but a little on the salty side but I don't like salt as much as most people. Also the onion rings are good quality but are frozen. While it may not look like much, this place is was great with service and food. I had the Albino Chicken sandwich, crispy, with mac and cheese. The chicken was tasty with the red pepper jam; the mac and cheese was slightly baked and just as good. All others in the party had equally good meals. Would have had cheese cake, but had Thanksgiving pie waiting back at the rental. The waitress was pleasant and patient with all of us. My visit to The Feed was incidental-- Planned on going somewhere else, but decided to stop by a place that I didn't know. maybe that was a mistake. The food was amazing. I ordered the chopped asparagus cesar salad and my grandpa ordered the Big Beeford. I have a gluten intolerance so I let the waitress know and she was kind enough to ask the kitchen if the cesar dressing was gluten free, and if it wasn't, she knew the italian dressing was. she told me that the kitchen didn't have time to look. Mind you, there was only one other diner in the restaurant besides me and my grandpa, and those diners were leaving. I'm not sure what they were so busy with that they couldn't have one person check and see if the cesar dressing was gluten free, but that's neither here nor there. I enjoyed the italian dressing. it took an obscene amount of time for our food to even come out. especially since we only ordered two items. a family of four came in ten minutes after we had placed our order, got their order taken, and got their four dishes brought out to them way before we even got ours. the place is tiny-- very cramped and crowded, and not a lot of diners, so it makes it awkward. The silence was so loud... also, i think the bathrooms are made for skinny elves. I'm 5'7" and when i walked into the bathroom I could see right into the stall! thankfully there was only me in there... the sinks are rusty and the drain is rusty, and i wouldn't trust the hand dryer to save my life! thankfully there were some paper towels. at least our waitress was nice. at the price our food was at, I expected some better quality service... read more

We are staying at Hocking Hills Lodge and this place was on a list of recommended restaurants. We took a twenty minute drive to find this "hidden gem" in Logan, Ohio. It has a great menu with some inviting appetizers and some interesting sandwiches, burgers, and flatbreads. Although there were numerous items I wanted to try. We settled on the Parm flatbread and a smash burger called the Old West. Parm included red sauce , chicken, Burata and a garlic glaze. Out West included Alabama Bar B Q sauce, cheddar, Swiss, brisket, onion ring, and of course the burger! Also, the burger came with a choice of a side which was delicious home cut fries. These two items were very very good. I would love to go back and try some other items that we saw coming to tables. In fact, the 13 table place was packed on a Monday night. The two girls working were busting their butts waiting and bussing all the tables. Nice job ladies and I'm certain the chef was making things work in the kitchen! Was very low key when we were there but the food and service were great even though we walked in close to closing.

Phenomenal!! Do not let first appearance deter you. It's not much to look at from the outside, or inside either actually. Lol. But the food was STELLAR!
