They do a great job figuring out your needs, how to meet them, and help you at an often difficult time in between hospital stays, working around your schedule. All the providers I came into contact with were caring, professional, and proactive to help with various issues. However, I don't recommend them if you have a loved one who needs assistance, as they aren't really equipped in the same way as other AL facilities. You can tell that they are different from the moment you walk through the door. We knew that our mom/grandmother was being cared for and treated with dignity. My mother has been at Arden Courts of Anderson for close to 5-1/2 years. Honestly, there were some…read moremajor issues there a year ago which you may have heard about (or others may have commented about), but the new staff have turned the place back around to the quality facility it had always been. The caregivers there are extremely kind and attentive to the residents. The daily activities are structured and varied, and the activities staff encourage the residents to participate. The facility itself is always clean, has recently been refurbished, and the layout with 4 individual dining and living room areas make for a more home-like atmosphere. Food is prepared fresh daily on-site. The staff is also very supportive of the family members who are dealing with the hardships of a loved one with dementia. Living 300 miles away (with no other family in the area), I rest easily knowing my mother is in good hands. Actually the reason I have not moved her closer is that she is so very content there, plus I know I could not find as caring and as nice of a facility/staff (and I live in a large metropolitan area with numerous facilities). I highly recommend Arden Courts of Anderson if you have a family member in need of quality memory care.
