Three issues are true at the same time: 1) T&H has some interesting vintage watches 2) T&H is very responsive when you inquire about a vintage watch 3) T&H will ghost you when you send a watch purchased through them back for service and you won't see your watch or money again. I purchased a blue dial Rolex 1603 for my husband earlier this year. The watch had serious mechanical issues (lost 20-min a day, second hand stalled, skipped, and jumped between 30-40 sec marks). He sent back to T&H for service 16 weeks ago and has not received an update nor a response to numerous emails inquiring about the status. He had friends email T&H about purchasing watches in the shop (to verify he had the correct email address) and T&H responded to them within 1-2 hours, but for some reason T&H has not responded regarding a watch they sold. I am in the process of getting my money back from my credit card company (I would not recommend purchasing via wire). Check out other reviews; they tell the same story. If you purchase from T&H, I hope it goes better for you. If the blue dial 1603 from 1974 is listed again, verify it is running properly, but maybe avoid it altogether. read more

It's been a couple years now, so easier to reflect on, but as my watch repairs/servicing bills mount, it's more relevant. I was warned against T&H but, damn, there was a really cool Rolex 6694. I spent way too much, like 3300, and knew it was overpriced but, anyway, I liked it. The watch arrived. Nice watch. Nearly indecipherable serial number, polished nearly off, but it is a 50 yo watch. Christian... Nice fella. Responsive. Salesy smooth, but not offensively so. The problem has been the watch. Almost immediately, new crown needed, second hand fell off, running really slow, etc. I've sunk a thousand bucks into an already overpriced watch that just wasn't market ready at that price. Upshot is that I have a pretty cool vintage watch that cost like 4500 all in, so.... It's a lot of money and while I willfully was taken for a bit of a ride, it was an overly bumpy one with T&H and you could probably find a better entity to buy from. read more

This is the most honest review you're going to get: BEFORE PURCHASE: I used to be a huge fan of Theo&Harris. I watched ALL of their youtube videos and loved what they were doing. Christian was very friendly about product inquiries before I made a purchase. Got back to my emails in matter of couple days if not hours. AFTER PURCHASE: I am dead to them. I experience problems with my vintage timepiece and emailed them 4 times and have not gotten a single email response. Their quality control in servicing the watches before sale is not the best. I have read a lot of negative press on Theo and Harris. This is my experience as of August 2020. I have bought 2 Rolex watches in last 3 months. Both were delivered promptly and both were what they were purported to be. Jen has been very good responding to my inquiries, so no problems there. I've purchased a Rolex with them, now let alone that they are overpriced for what they offer compared to many other sellers who really give a quality service with watch masters in house, the Rolex also came with no box, not even one of those replica green ones, no service papers even if it said it had been serviced and no professional of purchase. I wanted to start off by ordering a strap before getting into any watches, and I am glad I did! They use the USPS to deliver their packages, the USPS... when they're possibly delivering things worth thousands? I was at my place when the tracker says they attempted to deliver, I was actually outside- NO ONE EVER ATTEMPTED A DELIVERY! I made my first purchase at Theo and Harris because I identified myself as a vintage guy and they have videos promoting watches that I thought had good taste. I bought a premium strap for $169. I have bought many straps from many places in this price range so I know what to expect. I was surprised that when I received my strap it felt cheap. Like a $50-$60 strap. It wasn't soft or quality feeling leather and the color was way different than the photos on the website. It didn't even come with spring bars which is fine but comes off as cheap. I then sent the strap back for a refund and gave my criticisms on the strap. When they received the strap back they accused me of stealing the spring bars (that cost 2 bucks) that were never there! They made it sem like they were threatening to not give me a refund! I will never be buying anything from them again. Good taste does not mean good business practices. read more

I have been a customer of T&H twice in the last two years. I'm in to watches and have purchased in retail boutiques, online, and from private sellers. All channels have good sellers and bad but I've been pretty fortunate. With that said, you simply will not find another retailer of any kind that is as committed to doing right by you as is Christian/T&H. I won't go into the gory details, but he worked on my behalf for literally WEEKS to ensure UPS didn't screw me over. My investment was recouped promptly, Christian gave me his mobile number and always took my calls personally, and he went to extraordinary lengths on my behalf. Christian was extremely responsive to my queries regarding a watch in question and did everything one would expect and more to get the watch to me. In the end the war g wasn't the right one for me but the effort demonstrated by Theo and Harris will have me coming back and I am certainly willing to endorse them. Christian genuinely likes watches and it shows, but more importantly he also knows things about them so feel free to ask questions. The team won't be long getting back to you and will do their best to put the watch you want on your wrist--- be it a watch they have or not.
