The office is clean and the staff is soooo professional. Everyone that works in the office seem to be friendly, approachable, and greet you with a smile. After the consultation I was given all the information on what I would need to do for next steps. Setting up the next appt for the install of the braces the staff did an awesome job on letting me know what would happened if the appt is missed and not canceled within the 24 hits before the appt. on arriving the staff went over documents, cleaning of the braces and rewards for the children if they're doing what their supposed to do with brushing and flossing. There's an area in the lobby for the children to play with iPads. We were given a tour of the office on the 2nd visit, which was a plus. The appointments are done on time. So, I bought the Groupon and went to see him that week. I was immediately impressed. Heather, the office manager, was so friendly and made me feel comfortable. At the time, Lauren was my hygienist (she's since moved after getting married) and she was so sweet, gentle, and thorough. Then I got to finally meet Dr. Martin after my cleaning. He was wonderful - to the point, but still since and cared. A question on the intake form was something like "If you can change anything about your smile, what would it be?" I wrote that I had always hated the tiny gap in my front two teeth (it was very small, but I didn't like it or my front four teeth really. I had considered veneers, but all other dentists told me "oh you'd need braces first to correct your bite (as my teeth sat right on top of each other - not any overbite at all) and THEN veneers to avoid potentially chipping them." Well, Dr. Martin told me I didn't need braces because my teeth were straight and he could do veneers easily and make it to were the bite wasn't flush on top of my bottom teeth but a small overbite (a regular bite, if you will). I got scheduled to get the process started the next week and I had a brand new smile 2 weeks later. He made my smile everything is ever wanted and he took his time. My first visit for the veneers was a late appointment and the office itself closed but he had no issue working 2 hours past close to give me exactly what I wanted. To this day, everyone at the practice is wonderful. It's a small practice - Dr. Martin, a handful of hygienists, Heather, and Kim (his wife) - but it's a beautiful, clean practice with a wonderful team. You can tell everyone loves their jobs there and are very happy. I have referred several people to him. I was working as a night shift nurse, just got off duty and went straight to my cleaning appointment scheduled for 9:30. I got there around 8:00 and it was cool so I cracked my window and took a nice nap in my car until my appointment. Well, when I went in for my appointment I apparently grabbed my nursing bag and not my purse (which I had put my keys in). At 9:45 I go back to my car to sleep 5 hours and go back to work. I realized I locked my keys in the car or left them in the office. I go back inside to check and without any hesitation, Kim (Dr. Martin's wife) called AAA for me and told them I was her daughter who had locked myself out so I wouldn't have to pay for a locksmith since I didn't have AAA. She then took me to an empty exam room, made it dark and tucked me in with a blanket and told me to sleep and she'd wake me when they got my car unlocked. She didn't have to do ANY of that...that's just the type of people they are. She didn't ask "how can I help?" - she just jumped in and made my bad situation just go away. That's above & beyond to anyone's standards.

I responded back to the email at 4:14 pm asking to reschedule for the following week because it was my daughter's last week of school and also because my husband was out of town and I had my toddler who would be disruptive in their office. I received a text message at 7:49 am on May 29th stating that we had an appointment and they were wondering if we were on the way. I informed her that I sent an email asking to reschedule. She stated that I didn't cancel within 48 hours so they had to charge me $50 cancelled appointment fee. I wasn't trying to cancel - I was trying to reschedule. My biggest problem with this is the predatory nature of these fees. If you are going to charge someone for cancelling, you should remind the patient/client in enough time for them to cancel without penalty. Patients shouldn't get reminders 16 hours before the appointment with their only option to come or pay a $50 fee. This was my second time trying to reschedule and being assessed a fee. I will say they waived the first fee as a courtesy. We have already found another dentist and I don't intend on paying this predatory fee. They have already sent us to collections - for services not rendered with a late fee on top of the cancellation fee. We have perfect credit, pay all of our bills on time, and are highly responsible adults who were looking for grace and were met with disdain and flippant recitals of policy.
