I've gone in for new breaks and for a state inspection. I like their texting system where they give you all the details of what should be done to your car and they clearly outlay the pricing. They also don't just jump to do it, you can either go and take your car back or approve the work to be done. The inspection process was also super easy for my husband and I. I know other reviews mention running into issues with an inspection here-- that was not what both my husband and I experienced. They gave a clear list of everything passing and had us on our way. We will continue to visit L&S Auto when we need work done on our cars or state inspections!

I noticed Ashley's 2009 Lexus was leaking in the driveway. I used to work on my own vehicles and have a good understanding of "car stuff". I checked the fluids, levels were fine. Told her it was safe to drive, but we should get it fixed because who wants a car leaking fluid? Brought it to d&m, they said it was the power steering rack big repair! But hopefully this would be the last major repair before we got a new vehicle. Let's just get it done. Power steering rack replaced (~$1500). It was still leaking! Ugh. We brought it in again and they said it was the power steering pump (~$800). Now, anyone with some common sense would think there was a possibility this was a misdiagnosis and the rack was never leaking. I thought this was a legitimate concern to ask about before we got the pump replaced. Including my own opinion, I asked 2 mechanic friends of mine and a third friend who used to own a repair shop. The consensus was it was likely a misdiagnosis. Maybe not, but most likely. Armed with this information, I politely asked the shop if there was a possibility it was misdiagnosed. I am the type of person that never likes to accuse someone of something if I might be wrong. I got immediate pushback from the owners son- no way, they are in two different places, we've been in business 50 years. If you don't trust us you can go somewhere else. Ok- even if it was leaking in both places (unlikely), we should have been told this up front that it needs both a rack and a pump. If we knew it was going to be $2300 vs $1500 maybe we wouldn't have gotten the work done and replaced the vehicle. But the response to a long term customer was totally inappropriate and unacceptable, disrespectful. We already made the decision we wouldn't be going there again, but let's just get it fixed. Still leaking! Go back in, we are told now that it is leaking from the front differental. I recorded the conversation with the owner, who responded the exact same way as his son. My check engine light came on during an out of state travel right before the 4th of July weekend…read more I stopped at an Auto Zone that gave me a print out of the two possible codes that came up: a low voltage battery and a faulty oxygen sensor, but the technician stated that they dont change oxygen sensors there due to a liability issue. I called several mechanics in the area and they were all booked up until after the holiday weekend and I wanted go get this fixed ASAP. I then googled further and came across L'Europa Auto Repair, the name seemed very appealing to me because I'm European myself :) I called and spoke to a lovely Christy who was very informative and knowledgeable on the phone and she was able to fit me in an hour later. Upon my arrival to L'Europa I was greeted by a cheerful and friendly Christy herself, along with Little and Bruno, her adorable 2 pups which made my day! I immediately knew I was in good hands when Christy and I conversed about my car issues and she definitely knew her stuff, explaining all the possibilities of what could be wrong with my vehicle, this is coming from a girl that knows about cars :) 20 minutes later she approached me with a smile and stated that I was good to go. She advised me that due to my battery recently dying the car computer wasnt properly reset after the jump start and it was throwing numerous codes that the mechanic cleared. I did not need a new battery or an oxygen sensor, after all! She was very honest and upfront about everything - had I gone elsewhere, I'm sure the outcome would have been much different and I would have to spend money on an unnecessary repair. I was so impressed and touched by L'Europa honest work ethic, that I wish I lived closer as this would be my go to mechanic, going forward. This was my first time at this auto service My van had been…read moremaking a noise every time I turned right....I let it go all winter, it sounded expensive!!!! I finally gave in and went to Smittys because it was walking distance to my house I told them about the noise and my check engine light was on, I didn't know why. I also asked for an oil change. I walked home expecting a call letting me know how many hundreds I should bring when it was fixed. A few hours later they call and tell me it was a shield that was bent and hitting the rotor, they bent it back for me, no charge The engine light....gas cap was not on tight! No charge! So I had to pay for an oil change!!! I am over-the-moon thrilled!!!! Not only was the problem no big deal, but these guys were honest and told me it was no big deal!!!!

I originally took my 2015 Ford Fusion to the Ford dealership in Fall River to diagnose a gas leak…read moreon my vehicle. The technicians at Ford put my car on a lift and then told me I needed a new fuel pump, ring , seal and gas tank for a total of $2,700, mind you they never dropped the tank for inspection. I declined and took my car home. The next day I called Norwest and explained to them my situation. One of the owners explained that while I might need a fuel pump it seemed highly unlikely I'd need to replace the tank but suggested I make an appointment and they'd be happy to take a look at it. I dropped the car off a few days earlier than my appointment day. In that time frame they looked it over and determined that my gas tank was perfectly fine, and all I needed was a fuel pump. They were able to get the part and install it and I had my vehicle back the same day as what my appointment was scheduled for. It was also very reasonable on price compared to the Ford Dealership. I will never take my vehicle back to a "Stealership", as I am sold on Norwest's service, knowledge and flexibility. The best part is they are literally a up the street from my house, so it's convenient to drop it off and pick it up.
