I've had plenty of massages here and my only complaint is if you're scheduled for 60 min you'll probably only get 40-45 minutes of message. If I could leave a 1 star review I would. Very disappointed in my service today. I purchased a Mother's Day promo gift card for $99 for a 90 min massage. I called a few weeks ago to schedule my appointment where they booked it for me. At that time, I provided my gift card info to them for booking purposes. After a lackluster massage I realize it was only 50 min and was a bit confused. I was then told at the front desk that the 60 min massage service is what was booked and that I'd need to pay out of pocket because the gift card needs to be used for the exact service rendered. Now why in the world would I pay for a 90 min massage gift card then only book a 60 min massage? Secondly, the appointment was booked over the phone by their staff who knew the gift card promo I was using. After further discussion at the front desk I was told they would "comp" the difference of the full price service today and "allow" me to use the gift card for the 60 min massage. I asked if I could have the 30 minutes added to my next appointment of which they refused. First massage was great. My husband and I signed up with their membership. He got a regular massage and I got a prenatal massage. The massage table was nice and warm and there were warm towels available. The second time I came back was for a Brazilian wax by Lexie and she was super friendly and it was a great experience! She's very sweet The staff at the front is very friendly as well! Bathrooms are nice and spacious (they use hand towels vs. paper towels). Their waiting room is relaxing (soft furniture, dim lighting, water and tea available, calming music). It's a very luxe massage experience! Massage Luxe has been taking care of me while pregnant with prenatal massages (Tara is AWESOME), Brazilian waxes, facials and using their hydro bed. read more

Never Again will I our l chase a gift certificate through this company. My massage was fine but again although I told them on the phone what's package I purchased after my massage I had to buy another package because it was $49 each I bought 2 and I scheduled a 90 minute massage. I was " lucky" again because they had another deal going so I could use it today instead of my 2 $49 ones. They screwed me 1 too many times. On top of that you have to schedule a month in advance. I have been going to Massage Luxe for several years. that alone should speak volumes about how I value their services. I had a deep tissue massage today with Tara. Tara does a terrific job and my backache and upper rib cage pain I had when I arrived was gone when I left!! I also had a facial with Myeesa who is a terrific aesthetician. She always asks my opinion on therapies and makes terrific recommendations for a plan for the day based upon our discussion. The only good therapist they have is always book, which is very frustrating when booking an appt. I went to Massage Luxe in Fairview Heights and had the worst encounter ever. I had a membership that I had on a freeze because of having surgery. So I haven't been there in about a year. I booked a massage for that same evening at 4. I completed the questionnaire's and all forms online before I got there. i walked in and front desk staff Breanna greeted me and told me that we could handle the payment and updating my account once i was finished with my service. She escorted me to the back of the clinic and walked me to the restroom. I put some hand lotion on after washing my hands while still in the restroom. Once I was done and opened the door therapist was standing there waiting for me to come out. She said hello and pointed down the hall and told me where we're going. She never introduced herself or gave me her name. I only knew that it was " Anita" because I asked the front desk staff when I scheduled. Once in the room she asked what we were focusing on and I told her what area's and she had a snooty remark afterwards, and pointed to my earrings and told me "they're going to have to come off." Once she came back to the room to begin the massage and I'm on the table she starts off telling me that the front desk knows to tell "her people" not to have on perfume or scented lotions when they come for a massage because she has allergies. She said she was aware that I booked the appointment at the last minute, but told me whatever I had on was very loud and triggering her allergies. She said she needed to use some eucalyptus just to counter the smell. Next she starts to tell a story about another client that previously came in smelling like marijuanna. She said the smell was so strong that it wreaked from the customer wait area all the way to the back of the clinic into the room she was working in. She went on a rant for several minutes talking about how she had to refuse services to the man and how she's refused services to people before. This line of conversation was not relevant to me and I have no clue why this is what she chose to talk about. I made the statement that she would still get paid whether the guy was high or not, and said that it wouldn't affect her money. So she raised her voice stating that she is not a prostitute and she isn't prostituting herself out. She said that she cancelled the massage for this person because she started to get sick to her stomach from the smell. I have no idea at this point why we're even having a conversation about a previous client, nor why she is telling me how she has refused peoples services. I then just told her it would be best if we didn't talk for the remainder of the massage. Once she started the massage she did not do any kind of warm up techniques, didn't have me take a deep breath like the therapists have always done whenever I've had one. Also, the with the deep tissue massage they usually start off a bit slow to warm up your muscles and then build up to the deep tissue as the massage progresses. She started out the massage with the level of pressure that would be used towards the end. Seeing that i have some real tension and tight muscles in the area she was massaging, initially it wasn't an issue because it takes it lot more work for my muscles that some people. However, I could tell that she was using all of her strength with attempts to hurt me. She was massaging so hard that I could here her grunting and make sounds because she was just digging in my muscles. Instead of using the forearm to work on my back she was using her actual elbow. Once she started on my neck i could tell she was straining so hard that her hands were shaking. At this point i just told her to stop touching me. She didn't ask if there was a problem or why I told her to stop, but the first thing she said was "you said you wanted deep tissue didn't you" with a taunting tone. This was not a matter of asking for deep tissue and I couldn't handle it, she was totally unprofessional and not once did she ask if it was too deep or even deep enough for the matter. This lady had some sort of problem and I am not sure what or why. I went to the front desk and asked to speak with a manager or supervisor and was told no one could help me until Monday. I asked well what is the protocol when there is a problem between client and a therapist and Breanna was totally clueless and could not or possibly just would not tell me anything. Either way it's unacceptable. She told me to just call back on Monday. So I asked her what do they do when there is an emergency? I also told her I was not going to just leave and wait until Monday and hope that she remembers to have a manager call me. Ultimately, I ended up speaking with the owner Keely who was no help. She accused me of being rude to staff and told me to get the "hell out of her store" There is still a lot of details left out, but i would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

The reason for the 2 stars is because my husband purchased a package and we did not use all of our sessions. We were told that we had until March 10 to use the remaining 2 sessions. Ok fine. However, when we called to schedule them, with a time working around my schedule (I work in a school and live an hour away), we were told they did not have any times available. Ok, that would have been fine with me if we had the option of picking another day after the 10th, especially since it wasn't our fault they did not have any times available. Needless to say, we lost money on one of the sessions. Also, if I pay for an hour massage, I do not expect it to last only 30-40 minutes. Consult with me before my time for my massage begins, because I do not want to waste over 15 minutes of my massage time. I do not mind wasting a few minutes. I never had this problem with my old massage place. But, we moved and decided to try this place, but never again. Thanks, but no thanks!!! read more

I usually stay away from corporate massage clinics but a friend recommended this place to me, so I decided to give it a try. I called and easily made an appointment for a few days later. When I showed for the appointment, the front staff were pleasant and helpful in helping me fill out the appropriate paperwork. After the paperwork was completed, I was taken to the waiting room to wait for my therapist. My appointment was at three and my therapist came and got me ten minutes before my appointment. The massage itself was awesome! The therapist was attentive to my issues and took special care of my sore areas. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone needing a massage. read more

I have never left a review before for ANY massage, but had to for this one. Chrissy/Kristy (didn't catch which) is amazing at deep tissue and trigger point massage! An entire hour spent on my back, shoulders and neck was not nearly enough--hours of driving had tightened my neck to a bundle of cords, but she loosened them! Highly recommend her! This was my very first visit & was probably one of the worst massages I've ever gotten. I think if I had another therapist, I would reconsider this place. However, The place is really nice but I paid for a 90 minute massage & only received 80. I was promised the free 15 minute Hydroluxe bed prior to my appointment but it wasn't available. Also during the massage, the air conditioner was blowing right down on me making me cold the last 20 minutes. The staff was friendly but I didn't have the heart to tell them the guy was terrible. I won't go to another male therapist again. If someone could give me a recommendation on a good female therapist here, I might reconsider. I get massages 2-3 times per month. read more

This place was great! I was here to scout a new home for relocation and discovered this place. They took me as a walk-in within 30 minutes and even gave me a complimentary 15 minutes in the hydro-luxe bed. I got a trigger point massage and it was everything I could have asked for. The therapist was competent, friendly and skilled. She did everything I asked for and even gave some tips for stretching to prevent injuries. Without a doubt the WORST massage I have ever had. 1st off, she was late to show up, that didn't really bother me much. But, I specifically told her the area a wanted worked and not to do anywhere else and i wanted it deep. So, she sits down on a roller chair! I knew there would be no leverage once she did that and she continued to lightly touch everywhere except the area i told her to! I couldn't believe how bad it was. When I rub lotion or sunblock on myself for about a minute I get a better & deeper massage than this girl gave me. It was seriously unbelievably BAD! I will never return. read more

Don't buy a package from this place. Massages are ok, but I bought 2 months when I signed up and paid for them in advance. Then I noticed a charge on my account. I called up and supposedly spoke with the manager. She said I had 2 options, come in and cancel and get a voucher for the next 60 days or cancel online and get nothing. I told her I wanted to be refunded the charge that was put through on my account yesterday and she said, "we don't do that". I asked why and she said you signed a billing agreement. That was not at all the way it was presented to me when I signed up. If this business needs money that badly that they do not refund it, because you no longer want to use their services, then they know nothing about customer service. read more

So im a man who was going to do lazer hair removal but decided to start with waxing first . I was tried of razor cuts , occasionally ingrown hairs, marking up my skin . So my tech i have to say was very professional, friendly, helpful with information. But .... when i walked in to the room it was dark which concern me because what type of precision can they achieve in the dark , so im thinking i was going to get a marker to map out my face of what i want done because i have side burns that connects into my beard and a mustache. But mind you i let my full face grow . She tells me to lay down on the table with out knowing 100% of what i want . Bottom line is if your looking for precision this is not the place had a boat load of hair still on my face but she got the important spots went home did the rest myself. When she was done i didnt get no mirror to say if she need to touch up some spots she just politely left the room . And yes lots was needed but she got the main spots . If you have a spot of hairs that does not need precision this is the place . ............Month later in a emergency went again had Alexis experience was totally different a wonderful experience just how I thought it should had been. read more

Both times, the therapists did what they wanted, not what I requested. Literally sore & feel like I have been beat up the next day from my "relaxation"/swedish massage, even after having told the therapist that it was too much pressure (to which she laughed), among other poor customer service issues.
