Tried to use a Groupon here. Left multiple messages, never heard back. Booked online, where they proceeded to charge my credit card. Finally reached someone on the phone to switch from a credit card payment to my Groupon. They told me they didn't take weekend appointments for Groupons (doesn't state such in the Groupon itself). Since I can't come in any other time than a weekend, I requested a refund from Groupon. I then canceled the appointment booked with a credit card, and instead of a refund, they are attempting to give me store credit, even though the appointment is still over a week out. Thank goodness for credit protection, I've requested a refund from my credit card! I cannot speak to the services since they wouldn't honor my Groupon, which is why I left a second star. But their business practices were enough to let me know that I would not have a good experience with them. read more

AMAZING! BEST Massage I've ever had! Ok, so I purchased the 90 minute massage of my choice on Groupon. Massages are a bit of a luxury for me but this was WORTH it. I'm pretty sure I had the WORST knot in my left shoulder/back area that I've ever had in my life so I needed a massage and needed it asap. The day I bought the groupon I was scheduled that night at 730pm. Perfect, since I work til 5pm. I was SUPER skeptical and nervous about going somewhere to have a private massage, at night, by a man. I've always had a female perform my massage. Well, I didn't have the luxury of being picky since the knot in my back was effecting my day. I had Derrit for a full body massage, and let me tell you something... It was the best massage I'd ever had. He was incredibly professional, listened to my chatter and didn't judge me when I kinda dozed off and my hands fell off the table haha. Even though it was a full body massage, not once did he ever make me feel uncomfortable and not once did he go to far. He respected that I was a woman and never came close to crossing the line. Most massage therapists, when you have a full body massage, they spend a certain amount of time on a section of the body and don't touch it again. I had expressed concern for a knot in my back and Derrit constantly went back over the area to make sure it was rubbed out, and to spend extra time on that area. And a couple times throughout the massage he applies a steamy, wet hot towel to your back to relax, sooth and loosen up your muscles. The music is wonderful, soothing, and not too loud, the table is heated so not once was I cold. The lights are perfectly dimmed, And afterwards you're given a bottle of water to flush those toxins! Derrit is also knowledgable on health, exercise and gives excellent advice on ways to improve your posture, fitness and ways to not get those nasty knots in your back! Bought a Groupon and emailed to set up an appointment and within 24 hours I had an appointment set up for two days later. Then about 1 hour and a half before the appointment I received an email from Ashley stating there has been a change of therapist and Derrit would be my therapist. I was not happy to hear this as I prefer a massage by a woman, especially if I am going to a place for the first time. Upon reading the other reviews on Yelp it seems that change of therapist seems to happen often. But regardless I kept my mild upsetness to myself and arrived for the massage with Derrit. The massage itself was wonderful, he has a slow and deliberate technique to the massage, and my back, neck and knees, actually my arms and everything feels great after this massage. This place is a true gem. They were able to make my appointment with only 3 hours notice. The interior is relaxing and my masseuse was amazing. I came in with all types of knots on my upper back and shoulders. She applied the perfect amount of pressure: not too soft but not so hard that it was painful. I received a groupon for a 60 minute massage as a gift about a month or so ago, which was amazing because I have a lot of back pain but have never gotten a massage..... Well this has to be the worst introduction to massages ever. After weeks of calling and emails I still have yet to receive said massage due to the utter impossibility to get up with anyone at this place. It's ridiculous!! I've called numerous times (during different times of the day) and NO ONE has EVER answered the phone. So I thought, ok, I can email them. However it takes days to get a reply and I get no details just "no there are no appointments for that time" or "sorry that doesn't work" etc etc. It would be SO much easier if they answered the PHONE so we could discuss appointment times instead of wasting time with pointless emails. I haven't received a reply from emails or phone calls in 8 days, so I emailed again asking about availability and called (of course receiving no answer). Maybe once I get the massage (if that ever happens) I'll give this place more stars... But I'll never buy a massage here nor recommend this place. EDIT: Got the massage. The person who did it was experienced and relaxing. All in all, a good massage, and they loosened my tense muscles. However, it was still a headache to actually get the appointment booked. The first time I came to get the massage, they waited until I was in their waiting room before telling me they had double booked so I had to come back another time. Extremely irritating, but I left and make it for a week later, and they added on 30 more minutes for free, so I was slightly mollified. Horrible experience. Bought the Groupon, but couldn't verify over phone a time, so booked through their website - selecting the "Book a Groupon" option & had to put my credit card in to "hold" the reservation - but they charged my card so I double paid (through Groupon & their MassageBook site). I was coming from out of town and just in for the day, so I needed the time that I booked and when I got there, they refused to refund my payment. I also had booked the lady for the massage, but it was the man who did it. I was extremely uncomfortable the entire time. It's awful enough to not get your money back for double payment but worse to book and expect to have a woman doing the massage but have a guy do it. It was highly uncomfortable as they give you a wash cloth to cover up with and it barely covers anything! The staff were really rude about the Groupon/their website. I will never recommend them or go back. I am still trying to get a refund through Groupon since this place refused to give a refund due to their website error!!! read more

Ahhhhhh!!!! Yes! Where I go, husband gets dragged along and this time he was very hesitant. He requested "massage therapy" not a Fru Fru salon for "ladies who lunch". Therapeutic Massage met the initial criteria. After Ashley and Derrit conducted a through Q&A (health issues, problem areas, physical fitness level) our sore bodies were guided into a clean and comfy, softly lit, delicate background music playing room for two. The massage "hit the spot"! My husband throughly enjoyed his massage with Derrit, so much so as the rolled off the table "Oh yeh, we're coming back! This was amazing!" and proceeded to sign us up for a package of massages. We've now completed two sessions (hubby fell asleep during massage two) Since my massages with Ashley are more geared towards addressing health issues, getting blood flowing, and relaxing areas that have been "locked" for decades, I must admit that afterwards I feel like an over cooked noodle and I'm sore for a few days following. But that's the objective, right? We enjoy that Ashley and Derrit are a small, family owned, "Shop Local" business. This is not a cookie cutter, no personality, chain. Oh my goodness! I am in love. This is the first professional massage I have gotten so I don't have much to compare to, but since going to this place, who needs to compare? My husband booked a couples massage for our anniversary. We were treated to a foot soak in a nice, soothing room. Then under some blankets for our massage. They started off slow, but they worked over my entire body. I left feeling so relaxed and at ease. They were very attentive to what preferred when it came to massages, as well as focusing time on trouble areas during the massage (I can recall the times they found knots and slowly worked them out) This place is great and the price for what we got was extremely reasonable! read more

This establishment is a joke. On Saturday 4/21 I purchased a special online which at the time was 150.00 for a couples message my birthday which was on Monday 4/23. My appt. was scheduled for 6pm and I made dinner plans afterwards. While I'm at work on that Monday (the day of the massage/birthday) the "owner" Derrick or demmitt or whatever the f his name is called me around 3ish to inform that he could've find another masseuse and didn't see in the system that it was a couples massage he thought it was a single person in my mind I'm like how could you think that when I ordered online and the online special is couples massage so. He stated to me that he would keep looking because I expressed to him that it was my bday and I really wanted the massage. Around 430ish he calls me again to inform that he called 16 staff members and could not find someone to do the massage. I asked for a refund of my money and He expressed sympathy and told that he could get me a refund in 3-5 days and he would also give me a complementary massage. Well today is May 1 and I still have not gotten my money back. Derrick or whatever's his name told me today that the credit card company they use can't expedite and that I'll havs to wait 10 days to get my money back. With this being said I wouldn't want his dusty, crooked ass hands on me regardless I asked if I could get cash back and he told me no. After telling him that he is a joke and what do you mean you can't give me cash he then tells me he can give me cash back but then he says what about the money that is coming back via card that means you will get 300.00 back. I'm on the phone like wtf kind of biz school you go to?!? If you give me cash back then you would cancel the card request duh idiot. I wish I could say the massage was good or bad but unfortunately didn't get it or my money back. A day or so before the massage, she called to move it to later time during the day, which I could not accomodate due to other items on my agenda. I was fine with rescheduling to another date and time so I did. Well a day or so before that appointment, I was called to see if I could move the appointment. In addition, I was scheduled with Derrick which I was very clear in my initial conversation that I wanted a female massage therapist. I talked with Ashley who said she would see if she could work something out to keep the appointment. Well, never heard back from Ashley. I called several times leaving a voicemail for Ashley because I wanted a refund at that point. Finally, I got a hold of Derrick who said for me to call Groupon to get a refund. He seemed very nice over the phone. Dealing with Ashley made me realize I will NEVER deal with a boutique massage business. I will stick with places like Massage Envy who will keep appointments on time, not reschedule me with people I specifically asked not to be scheduled with, etc. read more
