The way he talked, my best option would be to have surgery instead of looking at other options. I left their offices and immediately scheduled an appointment with another PT company. I had my initial assessment today, the 11th, and their response and approach were different. They spoke of recovery and the steps I needed to take to minimize my pain. I was heard and allowed to provide input into my treatment. Their approach was different than what I experienced at BreakThrough.

After the visit with Dr Sturcken, I was talking with the lady taking blood and mentioned an issue I thought I may have and asked if they were taking blood for my thyroid as well. She said no but she could easily add it. Dr. Sturcken literally got frustrated and stated, "I already put your charts away," and was upset that she now needed to get them back out and add that. The latest upset is due to me moving out of state. A prescription I have is ending soon and I don't have a dr apt here for three months. Mind you, it took me a year to find a new dr, so I understand the inability to see me to renew more prescriptions. I was just hopeful she could refill it for a couple more months. She said no, so I asked if I should cut them in half to hold me over and she said she can't offer advice on that. I guess just overall, I've had multiple negative experiences with Dr. Sturcken.
