He was knowledgeable and personable and walked me through what he was looking for and quickly found the issue, which was a malfunctioning capacitor. I spoke to Todd about water leakage from my air conditioner. He conferred with George, the technician, and determine that a plumber instead would be able to fix my problem. He said that he didn't want me to pay for Thermal Comfort to come out to no avail and then also pay for a plumber*. Watch out for their hidden fees. I was slapped with a 20 dollar truck charge, without explanation.

My wife was just told off by a guy from this company! He called and was abusive to her over the phone, calling her sweetheart, and when she politely asked him to not speak to her in that tone he hung up on her! This, after not calling for 2 days! So disappointed they have always been polite in the past. I can understand a little if my wife had been hard to deal with but she kept her cool the whole time and he was over top mean! This is not okay and treating a woman like that is completely inappropriate. read more

I'm so happy I found these guys. Todd was such a pleasure on the phone. I loved his professionalism. He even got me an appointment the same day...2 hours later to be exact. The technician just happened to be in the area wrapping up a job. I even got a courtesy call 20 minutes before the technician arrived. Todd walked me through the pricing, over the phone, and it was very reasonable and it was exactly what I paid. No surprises. Adam was the technician who came to my home. Surprisingly enough my heater seemed to be working again and I was so disappointed because it hadn't worked all morning. Adam didn't blow me off. He took the time to go in the attic and look for what could have possibly caused the problem that morning. Turns out the sensor was dirty and it was causing the heater to turn on and off after 2 minutes. It's working again and I'm so warm and happy now. Absolutely amazing service. There was an outage in my area and a transformer inside my a/c has burned. The a/c stopped working right in the middle of the heatwave. I've called a servicing company listed on the a/c, and was told that the unit is very old, it's completely burned and my only option is to replace the whole unit, including the part on the rooftop, for $8,000. Thermal Comfort Systems's master fixed it for $200 within an hour. Also, he advised that if I choose to replace the unit as it's indeed pretty old, I shall be looking into $4-5,000 bill. Needless to say, when I choose to replace my a/c, I'll call them again. read more

We had used this company for years in the past. Our AC blower went out and another company gave an astronomical estimate so we decided to give them another chance. They came quickly to look over system but did not give a verbal estimate but promised one-by the end of the day-no estimate and none by the end of the next workday. On my 2nd call to find out about estimate, was told they were on another multi-day job and they didn't know when they could even get us the estimate. Really unprofessional. read more

The repairman Fred, was courteous, competent, and very efficient. He even brought in his ladder to help open up a heating vent that he noticed was closed. Pam, Kathy and Todd were all very helpful on the phone. Just a really great outfit! The best part is, even though they are obviously very busy (we now know why!) they completed the job faster than any other contractors estimated they could do it, AND for a fraction of the price. Not only do they do the monthly maintenance on all my equipment but my air conditioning systems and swamp coolers as well. They have brought in an installed several new commercial units over the years that all had to be craned onto the roof of the buildings after permits were acquired all done by Thermal Comfort. They have come to my rescue countless times on an emergency basis to fix equipment, air conditioning, whatever it is... and I've always told them that they are my heroes which they truly are. Their technicians are very well trained, friendly and thorough. Everyone is a true pleasure to work with. Very dishonest people and unprofessional service. In October 2014, during roofing maintenance project, this company was called by our HOA to remove and reinstall all IC units on the roof of our building. Very simple operation, just unplug and remove each unit then re-plug and reinstall after roofing is done. However, they felt. They connected my unit wrongly, making the condenser working bypassing the thermostat. So the heater in my unit was always on. I called Phil right away and he sent a technician to check the problem. Technician did not find anything wrong. I called again, but with the same result. My electrical bills raised 3 times because the heater was working non-stop all this time (without blowing the air). Finally, I had to call another Air Conditioner company to come and check the issue. They came and found out right away that electrical wiring was made wrong, and they fixed that in 5 min. Anyway, to make this story short, I contacted Thermal Comfort Systems many times including emails and calls to Phil and Pam. Last time I talked to Phil about 2 weeks ago, and every time he said: "I'll call you back" Well he never did. So, If you don't want over pay $800 for your electrical bill and you don't like to receive empty promises form management, DO NOT DEAL with this people and look for somebody honest and professional. read more

I had a new system installed less than a year ago. It's only worked on and off over the 11 months I've had it. I was told there was a condensation problem and the pipes needed to be replaced. I had that done. Now it's not working at all. In fact the temperature goes up when I turn the AC on. I was told I needed a new pump at an additional cost. I'm waiting them to take another look because I really don't want to spend more money than I've already spent, which is a lot. Hopefully they will figure out what's wrong and I'll have AC. But as of now I'm really disappointed with the way things turned out. read more

My air conditioning went out on a Saturday evening. I live in Sherman Oaks and the temperature was in the triple digits all week. I called them on Sunday and left a message with their service. By 9:00 AM on Monday I hadn't heard anything, so I called back. Pam said they were swamped and scheduled an appointment Wednesday AM between 8:00-12:00. She called me Tuesday afternoon and left a message that she had someone in the area and could stop to check out the problem. Unfortunately, I was at a movie trying to keep cool. Wednesday AM Adam showed up closer to noon than 8:00. Pam had called me in the interim and told me it would be on the later side. (Thanks Pam!!) Adam assessed the situation and changed a part in my heater, of all things! He was here less than an hour. The cost was $140. I appreciated their attempt to help me earlier as well as keep me informed about when help would arrive. Adam was great!! Very friendly, helpful. He could have charged me anything. I wouldn't have known the difference. I think I received outstanding service from this company and would not hesitate to recommend them. I got their name from a friend who had trouble with her 30 year old furnace. She was worried that the system might need to be replaced at a significant expense. They fixed her system without replacement and told her that if there was a problem within 6 months they would give her a price reduction. 1 1/2 years later, still no problems... read more

We found this company through Google search and were so happy to have found them. We have a rental unit that had a lot of issues with AC unit and have a home warranty company (will not say the name) that had been out to service the unit 3 times before in 8 months. The tenant contacted me on a tuesday to report an issue and the home warranty company gave me the run around for 4 days before telling me that due to the type of AC unit the AC companies they were contracted with were unable to service it. I contacted thermal comfort systems around 2:00pm on a friday and spoke with Pam who stated they earliest she could get someone out to the rental unit is saturday the next day. Pam called me the same day and stated she has technicians who live in the area and will be out to service the AC unit around 4:00pm. The issue was minor and the 2 AC technicians who came out stated it was a simple fix that any AC company should be able to fix. The home warranty company informed me that in order to get reimbursed for using an outside company (which was their fault because they didn't have companies contracted with them to fix our AC unit) we had to get receipt of the work and they needed to speak with technicians who fixed the AC unit to give them a diagnosis. Pam was so helpful and assisted me by speaking with home warranty company and set it up so the technicians could speak with home warranty in order for us to be reimbursed. This company was easy to work with, prompt in their service, reliable and even went above and beyond for us to get our reimbursement (which didn't benefit them but sure helped us out) I will definitely tell my friends and family about this company!! read more

Ok, so I can't say enough good things about this company. I work from home and had a major meltdown when the air conditioning was not working today (humid..ugh). I heard the compressor go on, but nothing was coming out of the vents. I called Pam and she told me she would put me on the "call" list for an opening. Within the hour she said Adam was on his way. Adam was here maybe 30 minutes and identified the problem and fixed it. My place is cool again and the cost was reasonable. Thermal Comfort is a great company!!! read more
