After having one of my two old a/c system develop several leaks, I had a hard dilemma of either repairing or replacing my unit. I decided to proceed on replacing both units and went about getting quotes from 5 different companies. I chose A I Air Conditioning for one main reason. Communication was outstanding between Isaac and myself. He was quick to answer all of my questions and gave me several options to chose from. I never felt any pressure from them and I could tell they knew what they were talking about. They were able to schedule me the following day. They were prompt and covered my entire floor and walk-in closet with plastic to prevent any debris/dirt. The installers were all professional and hard-working. This is one of the most honest companies I have ever had the please to deal with. First a little background as to what led me to call Itay. After paying another company for many years to perform there twice annual inspection and cleaning, last September (2018) our heater stopped working. This was just a few days before they were already scheduled to come out. Everything went downhill from there. After 4 visits and paying $360.00 for telling me everything from the problem was just moisture and the unit was good for at least a few more years to the burner was bad and the unit was a danger to operate and needed to be replaced immediately at a cost of $9000.00 I decided it was time to get a second opinion Thank goodness for Yelp. There were many 4 and 5 star reviews but the reviews for AI, though not many, seemed more heartfelt. Now I know why. When I called Itay, I explained about the previous diagnoses and also that I was limited as to when I could be home for him to come out. He was very understanding and scheduled an appointment for the coming Sunday morning. Part of the problem in diagnosing the heater was every time they checked it, it would start to work. Itay took the time to explain each part and there function and what could be causing the problem. Since the unit was working, he did not want to make a recommendation at that time but told me to call him when it quit again and he would try to come right over. It stopped a few days later and true to his word, he came over the same day. In discussing possible causes he said the most likely problem was the main control board but again since the unit started working as soon as he hooked up his test equipment he could not be 100% sure but there were a couple of dark marks on the board that indicated a possible problem. I told him that I trust his instincts and said to go ahead and order the control board even though that once it was installed it could not be returned even if that was not the problem. It took a couple of weeks to get the part. He was very good in working around my schedule and came out after 5:00 PM to install the new board. He even called a week later to make sure everything was working OK It has now been almost 4 weeks and everything is still working great. Thank you Itay for being there and your honesty. I am so excited to write a review of a company like this! Not only were they professional and affordable, they were total life savers! During the last heat wave our air conditioner (which had recently been serviced by another company) completely died on us. Our AC broke in a recent heat wave making the house unsafe for our toddler and dog, and unbearable for all of us. Our first call was, unfortunately, to a different company who sent a tech out to diagnose the problem. He told us he could repair it within the next two days, but at the end of the next business day, told us it would actually take 5 - 8 days to get the part! He strung us along! I was so angry and disappointed. We called a few different companies and told them our situation, and no one was very helpful. But then I called A I and spoke to Sarah. I told her about the needed part, and she immediately jumped on the phone to her parts distributors. She had me standby, and even sent me text updates, keeping me looped into the search. She ended up finding a part they could install next day. Itay came the next day as scheduled and went to work. The job proved to be more time-consuming than expected because the condition of the unit was so bad, but he completed the work and the charge was exactly as quoted. No haggling. No up-charge.
