He came down stairs and stralightened his pants in front of me and then proceeded to tell me he couldn't help me because the company went out of business. The problem with this is he knew when looked at door when he came in that he couldn't help, so I'm upset he used my bathroom and made a mess all while knowing he couldn't help. I explained this to a representative at their company and he didn't care. So I wouldn't use this company or refer anyone to this company. Bad bad experience.

I have a perfectly usable front door so I said no thanks and tried to close the appointment. He insisted I allow him to "do his job" and he set up his electronic tablet to create my front door. Since I had set the appointment, I permitted him to stay and show me a door worth 10K ( less sale of 30% ). It was a nice door, but far too expensive. Here's the complaint. About 45 minutes to an hour after he opened his tablet he told me that I had been and was being recorded. What? I HAD BEEN SURREPTITIOUSLY RECORDED WITHOUT MY CONSENT. A crime in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Needless to say Eli B. at Graboyes got an earful from yours truly. Gives new meaning to the Latin warning: caveat emptor.

I then go through my process of reviewing price, technical evaluation, value, etc. Rutter just redid my roof, and I am very happy with the results. They were the 2nd lowest price of 4 vendors, but their warranty and recommendation from my friend's dad were deciding factors. He's a retired general contractor, and when I told him I needed my roof replaced, this was the company he told me to go to. If you look at their reviews here, 1 is for "bad driving" and 2 are for missed appointments or miscommunication. The rest are all 5 stars. People love to knock a company online, but rarely vouch for them when they do a good job. When I went under contract with them, it took them 6 weeks to get their crew out here. Do you think that was because they don't work hard? Or is it because they have such a steady workload... On top of that, I was talking to the project manager and he mentioned he started doing doors and windows, I told him about a janky bedroom door that had never closed in the 3 years we'd lived here, and he took his tools and in 10 minutes fixed it for me. No extra charge, just a medium sized company, doing things the right way. I will be considering them for my next project, because apparently they do decks too. Brad arrived maybe 90 minutes later, provided an estimate which I okayed and he and two helpers (who literally materialized out of thin air--I have no idea if they were in the truck with him or if he called for help) removed the broken window and replaced it with a new tempered glass pane. They were done in a little over an hour, cleaned up after themselves and it was like nothing had ever happened. I will call Burhans Glass again in a nanosecond if I have a need for their services.
