This was an interesting visit. I've been a huge fan at their old location, but they have moved. I still like them, but it was different. The old location had great decor. The new one, not so much. I remember a generous menu for lunch with lots of appetizer options. Now, not so much. Staff said their menu did not change. Maybe it was their new Lunch Menu, which was limited. You could still order off the dinner menu. In checking their website, they still have the appetizer samplers I loved. I was seated next to the open door to the outdoor patio. It was pleasant, but the breeze got a bit much at times. The Thai Tea was one of the best I've had. The vegetable spring roll was wonderful. Nice sauce, yummy. Service was prompt, attentive and pleasant. Usually sushi takes a lot of time. Not so for sashimi. Sashimi presentation was really nice. I believe it was a special sashimi plate with a recessed bowl for finely crushed ice to keep the fish cool. There was a beautiful fan of cucumber fine slices. The white tuna was not as smooth as I was used to. The mackerel was great. They brought a nice bowl of rice soup on the house. read more

I spent a few weeks this year in Thailand. We literally walked into the jungle and picked our ingredients right off the tree or out of the ground when we cooked...it was nothing short of amazing! While the experience is slightly different (since we're not in the jungle and all), Thilda Thai perfectly replicates the INCREDIBLE food I had in Thailand! If you want to avoid the 26 hour flight and have a truly authentic Thai food experience I HIGHLY recommend Thilda Thai! Not to mention, Thilda's staff is amazing and attentive--my family and I are regulars and they know what spice levels we all like and typically anticipate our orders. I love this place! We really enjoyed this place. Food was fresh and delicious. We had the tiger tears salad and it is frankly one of the best we've ever had. Very flavorful and well proportioned. I had the Pad Phed with pork and again it was very flavorful and delicious. Only one down note: we had a party of 6 and they added an automatic 18% gratuity. Too bad because the service was great and I would have tipped 20% had it not been automatically added in. I understand adding it in on large party's of 10, 12 or more but 6.. really? I have been eating at this place since they opened but today I was very disappointed. I had ordered online for pick up for the first time and had a bill for $92 total on the screen. When we got there she said $118, so I asked how is that? Waitress said they automatically charge 18% gratuity on large take out orders. I worked in a very pricey Italian restaurant for years and never did we automatically charge on take out and especially not 18%. I've been meaning to try this place for a while, since it's right by my house...I don't know enough about Thai food, and as if trying to prove this, I overspiced my Pho to the point that I couldn't eat it. It looked great and awesome and I'm sad about it so I'll be back to try it again. My Thai iced tea was soo good though. My boyfriend got the Chicken Delight (which we split cause I suck at Pho) and it was great, had a sweet smoky flavor. The place itself is small and clean and too quiet. Their fresh rolls with plum sauce are amazing and every dish I have had I liked. The only reason they get a 3 is because every time I've ordered more than one dish and the spice level was different for the different dishes they would mix them up and put the wrong spice level on each. They've done this three times out of the 4 times I've ordered. Reply to Alex: my favorite dish so far is the sweet and sour with chicken! I love that it has pineapple in it! Usually a good place to eat. But dont order takeout on a busy night. I ordered tonight and was told 30min. I have been standing here for an hour now. Seen oters order after me and get theirs already. I tjink they screwed up and are now scrambling to get mine together. No aplology so far either. Smh Now over an hour later I finally get my food. Still no apology. If I have to Stand there and wait for over an hour for something that I was supposed to have had over half hour ago I should be compensated for my time they didn't take anything off or offer anything. I would not recommend this place at all. Customer service is horrible and doesn't look to be clean/following Covid guidelines. I called to place an order for pick up. Someone answered, but never said anything. I assumed I was being placed on hold. Little did they know I was sitting outside. I waited 10 minutes and decided to go inside while I was still on the line. No one acknowledges me when I walk in. Instead, they look at me - notice that they hear an echo from my phone indicating that I'm the person on the phone and stop working. A lady walks over to me (without a mask) and hangs up the phone (still not realizing it was me) that had been waiting to place an order lol. So I walked out and won't be returning. read more

Don't waste your money. Was excited to try the Pad See Ew, as a lover of Thai food. I received bland soppy noodles with excessive pepper (and a piece of foil mixed in) instead. The Gyoza was dry, overcooked and with a tiny morsel of meat inside. I should have made both items on my own at home instead of throw almost $100 down the drain. Not to mention, they were out of two sushi items on the menu I had ordered, and made the driver call me to adjust the item instead of calling themselves. They doubled the Gyoza order, which I agreed to and were supposed to refund me the remaining difference. INSTEAD they threw in an equally gross extra Pad Thai that I did not want and charged me more money. How does this place have so many stars? Possibly the best thai in all of Nashville. More of an Asian cuisine than pure thai. This is one of my go to celebration or date night spots. Awesome sauces abound here. The cooks love to over dress dishes with vegetables and fruit sculpted into flowers and that is just super cool you dont see that kind of stuff anymore. Food quality is always consistent. They are open for dine in but I usually call in for pickup, so can't comment on customer service. Pickup is usually pretty quick unless if it's peak hours. You cannot order "Lunch Specials" online any longer for some reason. This place used to be our favorite! Well I was shocked today when we ordered Takeout, due to COVID restaurant was takeout only! Upon arriving I was told my, 2 pad Thai was going to be $28, this is more $10 more than when I previously would come! They said it was because the COVID Pandemic, they now charge a Service charge and also there was not a lunch price even though it was lunch, so it was dinner pricing! Not only did we get price gouged due to this "Pandemic" we also got smaller portion than normal lunch portion, no nuts on pad Thai, 4 pieces of chicken in it, no limes, nor did we even get the soup that normally comes with it! So we got charged more for picking up our own food, and we got shorted on every aspect that makes pad Thai and the meal, due to a pandemic, WHAT?! I will never again return as they are using this "pandemic" to price gouge people to pad their pockets!!! They should've told me before I drove from Murfreesboro to Smyrna to pick it up the food the price had almost doubled! They should be ashamed!!! Price gouging at a time like this! This is mine and my wife's favorite new Thai restaurant. We go here about every other week. It is very good.

We have been coming to Thida Thai for years now and normally haven't had too many issues but tonight was horrible. We arrived at the restaurant at 8pm which is 1 hour prior to closing. We ordered an appetizer and asked for that to come out to start and then receive our meal after. Our meal ended up coming out completely out of order and main dishes did not come out at the same time. At this point it was maybe 8:20. Not 2 minutes after receiving our food all of the lights turned up, Tv's turned off (which I was watching a basketball game) and the music turned off. To make our meal even more pleasant one of the waitresses decided it was appropriate to begin running the vacuum to the point of literally running it around my feet while I was trying to eat. Before we had even finished our meals they were taking sauces off of our table that we were not done using yet. By the time we left the restaurant it was 8:45 which was still 15 minutes before the restaurant was supposed to be closing. Moral of the story is the food is decent but the service and care for the customers to have a quality experience is sadly non-existent at this time. read more

This is a great place for real, authentic, and Thai food. Made to order and very fresh. That's it in a nutshell.

EVERYTHING is delicious here! I was hooked when I found out that they made their own steamed dumplings/shumai, as opposed to other restaurants that have the tiny little shumai that you can buy from the box in the store. The pho, pad woon den, curry, and low mein are items that we always get! You can never go wrong here. They even serve really good sushi! read more
