This place is fancy, plenty of room to work. Although it's a bit on the louder side. Place is clean and immaculate. Ordered Cafe Mocha and macarons. Their macarons were pricey but were on the bigger end so didn't mind. Service was fast. No complaint

Second time here, our table spent 60 bucks + , when we asked for some ice, they told us to go to convenient store and buy some ourselves. The short guy with moustache. Super rude and passive aggressive. The ice americano I ordered had almost no ice and the coffee is over extracted .

Stopped by for the Hot Chocolate Festival. The location is amazing with views of the water and floor to ceiling windows. Unfortunately came by on a sunny Saturday...the establishment was packed and parking was very challenging. Did manage to eventually secure parking and a table. The option for this week for the HCF was a dark chocolate hot chocolate with a caramel covered meringue for $14.95. Interesting conceptually but they failed in the execution. The taste of the hot chocolate itself was great as was the presentation...but the caramel solidified immediately to the side of the glass. While I did enjoy having a hot chocolate in the sun at this location, I should have probably stayed with a coffee and croissant. I have no plans to return to Thierry.

Popped in really quick for a drink and a sweet treat, I got the pistachio iced latte and it was surprisingly really good. I also got the mango macaron which tasted like mango pudding, I enjoyed it alot! Beautiful location and interior and really clean, they had outdoor seating as well. Service was fast and courteous

The minute you walk in this café, you are greeted warmly by the staff who are eager to help you decide on what you will indulge in. I was impressed by the very clean and well kept area, along with the tasteful and classy design elements throughout the cafe; particularly the dark-toned wood elements. After gaining assistance from the staff on selecting a treat, I ordered the tiramisu cake and was not disappointed. The cake was light in texture but decadent in flavour and was a fairly large portion size. I managed to share some with friends as it was too big for an individual. I also ordered a chai latte which was less sweet than expected, but had the right flavour and balanced out the very sweet dessert well. I would definitely return here in the future and will be sure to recommend it to my friends.

The long-awaited 3rd location is finally open and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The Ambleside location is more spacious and brighter than the downtown location, so hopefully there will be no line-ups at this location They offer a variety of handmade chocolates and baked goods...Make sure to grab a few macarons for to-go They are open from 8am-9pm on weekdays and 8am-10pm on weekends! Great Ambleside location with a lot of interior and outside seating. Similar offerings as the mount pleasant location, cute pastries, coffee and chocolate. If you like sweet treats this is the place for you. Looking around everyone seems to be enjoying their visit, deep in conversation and fresh baking. We had our usual Americanos with an apple turnover and plum danish. Both were very tasty. Overall space is contemporary and well taken care of. Wooden trays to carry your order is a nice touch.

Thierry is a new coffee shop on Belview across from Ambelside beach. The coffee is fablous and the deserts are decadent and total perfection. The interior is New York upscale with rich red leather couches, high ceilings and wood finsihings. There is a lovely patio area for when the weather is sunny. A must try for great coffee, deserts and pastries!

The ambience is beautiful! It was my first time trying the West Vancouver location. The Pistachio hot chocolate was a miss but the desserts were on point. Loved the earl grey, black berry chocolate mouse

Before I start grab a complimentary port or scotch or sherry. Then let's take a tour. Ok. It will be short tour. They just have a few rooms. But first well stop at the little side kitchen where you can help yourself to coffee, tea, soda and water. For a charge they also have wine and beer available. This is also where you hang your key when you leave the house so they know who is here. We got the Under the Apple Tree Room which was spacious and nicely decorated. It even had its own private yard. Also has gas fireplace, jacuzzi style tub and stand up shower. The heated bathroom floor was a nice touch. If you get tired of your room you can also enjoy sitting outside on a deck or the living room. We really enjoyed relaxing on the couch back in our room in front of the fire place. Morning came a bit too soon. Was hard to get up out of the super comfortable down blankets on the King bed. The breakfast was ready though and included three delicious courses. Polenta with almonds, banana kirsch, and smoked salmon with poached egg on toasted croissant. Yum. On the table: Brunch Waffle Crepe du Matin Sunny Dish Even though I wasn't the one who ordered a crepe, I am still delighted to know that they offer crepe at this restaurant. I feel there is a shortage of crepes and wish there were more places that served crepe. I will definitely order a crepe on one of my future visits. I went with the Sunny Dish this time in an effort to go low carb and have more room for dinner in the evening. It was a great option and I think my favourite part of the dish is the avocado. It's just always so satisfying to see lovely, green avocado on my plate as avocado tends to go brown quite easily when we have them at home in our kitchen. It's also tasty, healthy and filling...The filling part matters when avoiding filler foods such as pancakes, bread, potatoes...etc. This is such a great place for brunch and really becoming quite a favourite for us now!

What is irritatingly stupefying here is that there is a Persian Bakery right across the street from them. With their approximately 10 seater dining table and 5 staff on hand someone could've done what?.....Yes!...jumped across the street to the bakery and stocked up on the bread they promised the customer on their menu before opening....Or am I just crazy? Well...I guess if they had done that....they wouldn't have had the time to giggle about it in the back like little school girls. Moving on...... The French Toast - Undercooked & doughy in the middle. Way too bare and unimpressively lacking in presentation. I mean you're paying for these dishes. I've had my 10 year old nephew make better French Toast. The bacon was tasty and the coffee was decent....even came in a cute little cup. So, that's something.... Breakfast Burrito - Good for an appetizer...Oh wait...it was an entree dish....enough said. Fancy Benedict - No, it wasn't fancy...that's the name of the dish ironically. It was cold, the salmon lacking and clearly someone's first attempt at making a Benny. The Service - We had to ask for everything. There was an underlying impatience with our server....like we were keeping her from something. Finally someone else came by with more coffee. Not the end of the world, but not charming either. This place reminded me of a first year medical student trying to do brain surgery. Education, Experience, Commitment. Then open your doors.

Daughter ordered the same breakfast sandwich that she ordered last time along with a mocha, and I ordered the Adult Mac n Cheese with a London Fog. There were a couple of hiccups this time. First of all they mixed up my daughter's drink order. Instead of a mocha they made her a hot chocolate. It looked like a wonderful hot chocolate, with a lovely heap of whipping cream on top but it was not what she ordered. So they took it away and made the mocha that she ordered. Then there was my order. My Adult Mac n cheese comes with toast. When they asked which kind of bread I would like for my toast, I asked if I could have the curry baguette bread which is usually used for their Shrimp Melt sandwich. They misunderstood and thought I was changing my order from Mac n Cheese to the Shrimp Melt sandwich itself! Nope, that's not what I wanted. I still wanted the Mac n Cheese but was just wanting to have the curry baguette bread as my "toast" since the Mac n Cheese comes with toast. When they finally realized what I was actually asking for, they then told me they couldn't do that. They only use the curry baguette for the Shrimp Melt sandwich. So then I chose sourdough to go with my Adult Mac n Cheese. It was very noisy in the shop this time. The noise level really turned off my mom. She ate up just a bit of scone, left the rest, didn't even finish her tea and then left to go walk in the IGA supermarket nearby just to escape the noise. My daughter and I finished up as quickly as we could so that we could go join my mother in the supermarket. I left first and when my daughter came to find us in the supermarket she said the people at The Bakehouse gave us a bag with 3 cookies in it for free, as a token gift for the troubles we went through in having 2 of our orders mixed up that day. I ate one of the cookies later in the day. It seemed like some kind of shortbread cookie with frosting sandwiched between it. Too sweet for my taste but I very much appreciated the gesture. I think it shows very good customer service. Don't think we'll go back there with my mother again as we'd rather not risk subjecting her to the extreme noise level again. My daughter and I would happily come back together though as we love the food there, and were very impressed with the service. Yes, they botched up our orders but how a restaurant redeems themself from a mistake says just as much about an establishment as not making a mistake in the first place. Impressed with the recovery they made, so in spite of the mistakes...still giving them a good rating!
