I love things remembered - I love monogrammed/personalized items and this place does it at a decent price. This location is located inside the Galleria, on the 1st level - near Banana Republic, Vera Bradley, and Loft. For some reason, when I placed an online order for pickup at this location, when calling for an ETA, they said they never received the order. Typically, orders are received within 10-15 minutes and we ended up having to get our order the next day, instead of later that day. Upon arrival, the employees were friendly and prompt. Excellent place to get a sentimental gift. Good for wedding gifts of all kinds, congratulatory gifts and housewarming presents! Products: good quality Service: varies day to day an the time of day. For the most part, they are very helpful because they have to be. Typically, you have to get something engraved if you buy something from there and they are the experts! Tips: If you plan on getting something engraved same day plan on saving at least an hour of wait time after buying and deciding on a product. If it is a weekend, plan in twice as much time. If its a holiday weekend, you will just have to wait a day or two. If you go on the weekday, my turn around time is 45 min to an hour. read more

I've used Things Remembered on many occasions this year. Their products are ok, but definitely not worth the price it costs to engrave a sentimental message. Even though I was unsatisfied with my last online order (a $15 desk clock that wound up costing $100 to engrave a two line message), I needed a 25th Anniversary gift for my parents same day; I decided to run to the Galleria location. Big mistake! From the moment I walked in (to an empty store), I was ignored. There were two ladies working. I told one of them I was looking for silver champagne flutes, she pointed to the back of the store and showed me where to look. At the same time explaining that they were out of the particular flute I was looking for. The other lady corrected her and said, she thought they may have more in the back. The rude associate brought out and opened a box that was mismarked; and in fact a custom order she clearly had made a mistake on. After going back and forth from the back, and then to the computer; she was visibly upset and confused about her mistake. Finally, I asked her again, "Can you help me?" and with an enormous attitude she replied, "What can I help youuu with!?" I told her there was no way I was going to give her my business, and left. Thankfully, as I was leaving the Galleria feeling very defeated by not getting my incredibly generous parents anything sentimental to document this huge Anniversary milestone for our family, I found a Papyrus store on the first floor. Although I was unable to get anything personalized or engraved that day for them, they loved their pearl champagne flutes and silver Wedding picture framed. The sale associate at Papyrus was extremely helpful and informed me they offer free gift wrapping when you buy a roll of their beautiful wrapping paper. No one like being ignored, especially when they walk in a "specialty" store and plan on spending $$$. I will never go to Things Remembered again. Definitely going back to Papyrus for wrapping paper during holiday season! read more

Probably one of the worst customer service I have experienced in my life. Day 1: I was shopping with my family for a gift for colleagues. It was about 8:45 and the employee indicated that the registers are closed and that she cannot help me with any purchase. The next day, I tried calling them to make sure if they were able to engrave things on the same day. It took about 10 phone calls as the line was always busy. Finally, I got a positive answer and I took my family again the next day. This time, the store was manned, or I should say womaned by two. One person was on the phone all the time without any break and it was very evident that it was a personal call. She would ask us to finalize the purchase all the time and this lasted for about 10 minutes. We had already made up our mind the previous day and we just wanted to browse to make sure that we are getting the things that we wanted to. Nonetheless, shopping with a toddler and an infant was not easy and the store was the least accommodative. Finally after selection, we left instructions for engraving. We were asked to return in about an hour. We spent that time and upon return, the same person was still on the phone with an obvious personal call and did not even have the courtesy to talk to us. We had to wait about 5 minutes before she hung up and informed that she needed more time and only one of the 3 engravings were complete. We looked at it ..... and she had misspelt names! Well, this time, I had to personally stand in front of her to get the work done. Our toddler was getting ancy and was understandably upset due to the undue time we were spending there. The service was impersonal, mechanical, unduly delayed with employees spending time on personal phone calls while charging exorbitant money for ordinarily priced items. Customer service was extremely poor. I will not suggest this store to any friend. --- a frustrated dad. read more

I had a simple task - to engrave a spoon for my first grandbaby. I am telling you - this is a wrong place. Communication between associates = 0. Even if they in doubt, they will not call you, even with a phone number on the order. They will do it the way they want it, that's it. Your opinion does not matter. read more

I placed an online order on Friday to be ready on Saturday. I came in Sunday morning to pick my purchase and not only was it NOT finished there was only one person on duty because the manager over slept the gentleman there tried his best to help me but it was only his first day working there and he had not been on boarded he tried desperately to reach members of the team via phone to figure out why they did not complete my order when the next employee came in with little remorse told me not only did they simply not do my order but told me they didn't have the item I paid for and I needed to pick a new one if I wanted my order anywhere near the time I needed it. The new transfer was very nice this second gentleman could care less that I am now 2 hrs behind schedule and have to drive hours away for an award ceremony. Will not shop here again. read more

Amazing customer service here. I'm getting married, and my fiance ordered personalized pocket knives for his groomsmen. A week before the wedding, we suddenly realized that the initials on one of the knives was wrong (our fault). I called this location, expecting to be told that I would need to buy a completely different item, but they were very understanding and accommodating. I dropped off the knife and picked it up the next day. They swapped out the monogrammed plate and didn't charge us anything at all! It was a huge help to have one less thing to worry about. read more

Really disappointed, the store looks very messy, packages, wrap paper, everywhere, I was surprised because it is a very good location there at the Galleria. But that was not enough, costumer service very bad the lady I talked to was very mean. I definitively do not recommend this place. read more

This place has the worst customer service. My mom and I was bought the unity candle set and guest sign in book for my wedding and had them engraved. Susan, the store manager, decided on her own to change the wording around without our permission. When I came to pick up the product and found the "unapproved" change, she said that to her it sounds better. I told her that this is mine and I wanted it to be corrected. She was not happy, rolled her eyes, and mumbled something under her breath. When I came back after another hour of wait time, I noticed a scratch on the sign in book cover (silver cover). I mentioned to the other male staff that the wording is correct but there is now a big scratch. She overheard us and told him "are you kidding me!". The whole time I was very angry and felt like she treated us like second class citizen. I am not sure if she was condescending or discrimination towards Asian. I don't think Susan is fit to be a manager if she treats people poorly and makes them feel bad after leaving the store. Please be careful of Susan - the store manager. read more

I placed my order online the night before and selected the 2:00 pm time for pickup. I arrived the next day after 5:00 pm and the engraving was done incorrectly. The guy told me it would take about 20 minutes to fix the frame. I have them 30 minutes before coming back and the engraving was in process. The guy was helping other customers and wasn't paying attention to the engraving. His co-worker looked at the finished engraving and walked to the back to tell him something. She then came to tell me that the plate wasn't lined up correctly and they didn't have anymore of the same frames. At this point I was so upset. She suggested that I come back tomorrow to pick up the frame. That just made me more upset. Now I'm waiting on the frame (which was going to be another 20 minutes - now 45 minutes later) and the guy is still working on the frame. I would NOT be using the Galleria store ever and not recommend this store ever!!! read more

I went on a Monday to get a plaque for my manager. They said it would be a while to finish so I left it to pick up on Thursday, when we came back to pick up it was not ready along with a pile of other items that were due the same day. I planned on giving it to my manager that evening. So I had let them engrave the item and had to come back a few hours later. It was a big hassle, there was alot of traffic and it took me 30 mins to even get out of the parking lot. They offered to refund us without an apology, since I was in a hurry I didn't even get a chance to request a discount, but that should have been part of their protocol. And once I got the product it was constructed very quickly and parts of the wood and paint were chipped. I've used Things remembered before and my experience was not like this, but this very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I would suggest another location or try a different retail provider. read more
