I used to live in the Galleria area and would always frequent this shop to see what beautiful and cool products they have. I live further out now, and there are several plant stores and florists in my area, but I still like to venture out to this location! Great customer service and even better products. Are they expensive compared to other places; Yes and No. Sure you can go down to main street and get a bunch of flowers for under $10 but they won't look as good or last as long as the ones from here. They are on par with other florists in the area. Every year we get our Christmas trees and Garland from them. They deliver and the trees and garlands last the entire month of December and look and smell so good. Ordering on the phone and having flowers delivered is a snap. I love that I have a charge account too and just get billed monthly for whatever I end up buying throughout the month. While in the Westheimer location earlier this week I noticed they had a cigar smoking room and drinking room. It looked so awesome and had a huge tv and plush leather couches and chairs. I had to get an arrangement for my mothers birthday and I needed to find a place that was close. I payed for a $70 arrangement that was to be delivered, it never showed up on time and when I popped in to inquire about the situation the blonde lady behind the counter had the worst attitude!!! The flowers ended up wilting the next day as well. please use another establishment that has quality product and better customer service! Will never use them again. Kroger has better product then they do!! They have gone way down hill. This is the Westheimer location by the way. read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY! I had bought a $60 rose arrangement for Valentine's Day... yesterday and the roses were all open the next day! I took them back with my lady and the lady behind the counter rolled her eyes at me and said "you want them closed?'" YEAH! the owner (man) who was nice refused to credit us back and said to pick something out of the cooler. If you are looking for high end flowers in Houston that will always look amazing, no matter which bouquet you order, go here!! While they are more expensive than others in the area, the flowers and expertise are much better!! The arrangements are truly works of art and they last for over a week looking perfect. I have sent my mother several arrangements and received two myself, all breathtakingly beautiful. I've gotten screwed over by other florists delivering arrangements that look half as full or nice as the picture- but that won't happen at river oaks plant house. Highly recommend! read more

I helped plan a baby shower for one of my dearest friends and wanted the flowers to be very special. I met with Mitra, showed her the invitation, she grasped special elements to bring into the the arrangements and we were done in about 20 minutes. She was great to work with and she helped lift a great stress off my shoulders as many other florists needed an email submitted and then they may or may not be able to meet/work with you, too much! If I wasn't mistake by his name ,the flower bouquet done by "Dlamingo". I really was looking for something in short time. Because I was in harry . The bouquet full of hydrangeas and close to each other . The only negative thing that the blue hydrangea wasn't enough to cover the bouquet . I wished if the guy add some blue flowers to the bouquet to have a balance . Despite of the time constraints but the guy were able to finish it in 20min . I was looking for Eucalyptus plants so I called the store to see if they had them before driving there. Abraham informed me they had them so I headed there. To ensure the time of closing was 7:00pm as the google maps states that, I confirmed with him and he said, "We close in the next 5 mins (which the time was 5:52pm)." I then said to him the discrepancy of the hours google maps stated. He said his boss was suppose to have changed it, but obviously hadn't done so. I told him I was less than 5mins away and would he wait he said he had to catch his Uber and he was about to close (which the time was 5:55pm). He then told me if you can make it, I'll wait, I said ok. I arrived at 5:57pm and he already had the parking gates closed so I couldn't park to come inside. He was already standing outside on his phone. I told him what he did and he just looked at me. Definitely disappointed in the service and I would've came the following day, however because Abraham was ready to go rather than help a customer, I will not be returning! read more

Baught a fountain and they knew it was cracked and still installed it with out telling me they broke it upon delivery. It had an obvious crack the was recemented by them to cover it up. They are crooks. Shady and untrustworthy people!! Will never recommended them. The owner walked in to the shop and never even greeted me he was so arrogant. One of our family Christmas traditions is to purchase a beautiful noble fir Christmas tree from the River Oak plant house. The last few years they have made some moves and changed locations. This year they apparently merged with another florist. We have been going to the Kirby location for the past few years, this year we went to the Westhimer location. This was the business that they recently merged with. They had beautiful trees and the staff was very friendly. So why am I rating this 3 stars you ask? Normally we buy a 10 or 11 foot tree, this year we purchased an 8ft tree. It was incredibly expensive! The prices increase a little every year but this year the sticker shock was just that, shocking. Also it's is dying!!!!!!! One of the main reasons we take the time to drive into Houston and pay a premium price is to insure that the tree will stay alive. Nope, it is already crunchy and the needles have been falling off since we got it home. It is a beautiful tree but it is barely hanging on. Such a disappointment! I am going to call and see if there is something they can do to make this situation right. We have been customers for over a decade and this is just so terribly disappointing for us. read more

I asked for the flowers to be delivered around 2-3pm and not only that didn't happen but I only knew cause I called after 6pm cause I felt something is wrong and that's how I knew. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and my guests commented on how pretty they looked. Ken was able to envision exactly what I requested for my wedding florals (from colors to exact type of flower I wanted, size of the arrangements and additional embellishments like cascading chains coming off the top of the vases). The final product was exactly how I pictured it in my mind. It was easy to coordinate details and they were always quick to reply via email. So I ordered a nice boutique for a reasonable price and came in the next day to pick it up. The owner was nice and polite and let me pick the peonies I wanted right away.
