We used River Oaks Flower House for flowers for my mom's funeral. We ordered three large arrangements, a spray for the casket and ten centerpieces for the tables at the reception. My mom loved bright colored flowers and yellow was her favorite color. I was emotional as I described what we wanted to the florist and she was so kind and nice. She assured us they understood and the prices quoted were reasonable and good value. Due to the reasonable price, we were hoping the quality would meet our expectations. I know exactly what was said during our phone call. In addition to that, you also totally lied to me during our phone call. I had no idea what the full situation was until my girlfriend told me what was going on. I am absolutely the purchaser of the flowers, which you have yet to replace. No one is taking their reviews down while you try to extort us and still not replace the flowers that I purchased for my girlfriend. This woman, Smita Patel, the owner of a River Oaks flower house is absolutely crazy and a liar. She is saying that I called 4 days after I received my flowers. That is an absolute lie. I called on Saturday and spoke to a man. After I got off the phone I also sent an email letting them know that my flowers were already half dead. I got the flowers Thursday evening at dinner and by Saturday morning, half of them were dead. Her math is not mathing. There's literally 10 other reviews on here of people saying their flowers are dying within the same timeframe. Within less than 48 hours the flowers were half dead, which was when I initially called. They told me on Saturday that they were closed Saturday and Sunday and they would not be able to deliver my flowers until Monday. I also added the email where she only stated orchid plant (not plural) now she's yet again lying stating that she was going to send me multiple plants. I never wanted an orchid plant in the first place, that's not what was purchased for me. I never wanted blush flowers and I don't even know how those got offered except for the fact that they stated that on Monday they did not have the flowers they told me they would have on Saturday to replace my order. I never once yelled at her staff, she's lying. I never called the police on her driver nor said I would call the police on our driver, she's lying. She kept going back-and-forth with me whether or not she was actually going to offer me an arrangement, or credit the credit card. She also disturbed my boyfriend in the middle of a business meeting asking him about a credit to the credit card. He did not even want to be disturbed by her because this was something that he bought for me as a gift and felt she should be dealing with me to make it right. She's lying about the arrangement that they brought to my door. I have bought flowers from Costco that cost $35 that looks better than what showed up at my door. Threatening me and telling me I have to remove a review to "make this right is not a sincere attempt. It is threatening and extortion (which is illegal). She saying that the sender has expressed no displeasure, yet my boyfriend left a review stating otherwise. Again this woman is a liar. I still have not received a replacement for the flowers that was promised on Tuesday. (Probably because I haven't taken down my review like she threatened). We literally ordered at 9:00am and the delivery arrived at noon. I appreciate the quick response from this shop. The flowers were bright, vibrant and fresh. I've used River Oaks Flower House several times and each time they have exceeded my expectations. The arrangements match the photos from their website very closely and one time they were out of one of the flowers I wanted so the owner contacted me to let me know. She asked if I was willing to trust her to put together a different arrangement and I said yes and I must admit her new arrangement was much better than the original one I ordered. She added extra flowers since she didn't have the ones I initially ordered and didn't charge anything extra. This is by far my favorite flower shop. This florist sent a standard bouquet of flowers to my son's girlfriend for her 21st birthday. I ordered premium flowers and it looked just like the picture for the standard arrangement. I should have known when the pictures for the premium flowers would not upload. I called the florist and she said she personally made the bouquet and it was premium. The standard arrangement had 4 roses, and the premium had 6??? For $50 more it should have included more than 2 extra roses. I called and she was defensive and did not offer to do anything to rectify the situation. I am a business owner myself and I would never have handled the situation like this. We came to River Oaks Flower House for a consultation for our wedding in June. I was also pretty disappointed in their lack of professionalism when we spoke with the owner. Apparently our budget was a little too tight for them to work with, and our consultation became more about what we "should" do versus what we really wanted to do.
