This wasn't our experience with this company!! I emailed via Yelp four listed contractors, all with the same details of 'puff-back' in the boilerhouse of an oil-fired boiler, at 2am Sunday and as much detail as I could muster, with an image of the boiler. After pressing the 'send' button, Yelp advised the inquiry would also be sent to three other (non-listed) contractors. By 7am Sunday, I had an emailed response from Chris, saying he would be able to phone around midday to confirm a time to visit later in the day ... Sunday. He finally arrived Sunday evening about 7pm, in the dark and proceeded to investigate the issue. Within ten minutes, he'd spotted the cause (two splits within the 30yr old flue-pipe) and explained what was needed to correct the problem. As the following was Veterans day, he anticipated being able to source a new stainless flue-liner and have the job done by the Wednesday. On the Tuesday morning, I received a message saying he'd collected the parts on Veteran's Day and could get the job done on the Tuesday! The job was completed in about three hours. It's worth reporting that from the four known applications, one responded a day or two later saying they were booked until February and another that their earliest slot was Dec 3rd and no other contractor of the other unknown two, responded at all. Chris & his Dad, did a great job in a fast & friendly manner, explaining anything I didn't understand but crucially, as a service, they responded very quickly and completed the job so we were only without heat for two days. Such response times these days, is a rare find and I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone contacts this contractor, in any 'hour of need'.

Being in the construction field, I had a few concerns with the install and they assured me not to worry. they made sure that I understood that if anything happened, they would return to rectify the issue. When I reached out about a leak less than a year later, they mentioned fixing it but... with a 4-month delay and offered that I could hire a local roofer if I would like. I asked if they could cover the cost of a local roofer, given it was their work. Unfortunately, the response was a firm refusal, citing the minimal nature of the leak and its unusual occurrence. Their email to me: "No I will not cover the cost of a roofer. The leak is minimal and more strange it hasn't started since the beginning. Is this happening every so often or only on very windy and heavy rains or because snow is sitting up there." Should leaks only happen on rare occasions during specific weather conditions after a woodstove is installed? In my opinion, any leak for any reason, needs to be dealt with immediately. I had anticipated better service, especially from a recommended and seemingly kind company. It appears their commitment to quality diminished after the payment was made. I hope they address these concerns and prove themselves as a reputable company. I will update this review accordingly. Update: I received the following message from Michael the day after posting my review: "I appreciate the 1-star review. Why don't you call me and talk to me like a man before going on the internet and crying to everyone. 845-661-5148." Grateful for this last message, as it gives me further insight into the nature of the person/company I was dealing with.

I am going into month 3 of having a nonfunctioning, unuseable outdoor kitchen which still remains a half built shell on my back deck because Sal sold me a damaged, subpar outdoor kitchen which he refuses to provide any level of customer service! This business owner cares about one thing and one thing only... HIMSELF! He does not care what happens to you after your check or credit card clears! As seen in the attached image, Sal from NYC fireplaces has revoked even the smallest simplest gesture of customer service since I wrote a negative review! This man thinks his word is all that matters in this world and does not believe that actions speak louder than words! Another tit for tat expectation from a shotty self centered looser of a business owner! RUN RUN RUN from this company! Go to absolutely anyone else! This man is a thief. This man is a corrupt business owner. My credit card company says numerous people have opened claims against this man! Even the OEM manufacturer of the kitchen island has said they will be refusing to allow this man to represent their company moving forward! Do not fall for all his positive reviews! They are admitted friends who he has leveraged to boost his scores!

They had the best price I could find online which is why I went with them. A few days after the order I realized I had made a mistake - I ordered a dual fuel wood/natural gas oven, when I actually needed dual fuel wood/propane. I called and spoke to Luca who immediately made the change in their system. The oven was delivered the next day and the delivery person was extremely courteous and helpful. Again, I made another mistake. I forgot to order the stand to put the pizza oven on. I called Luca again and he took payment for the stand and offered to waive the FedEx costs since I paid for assembly initially. That would have been great customer service already, but to go a step further, Luca called me back and said they would put it on a truck and deliver it that same day. Such a great experience!
