I had had a very bad experience with a similar company, so I really had nothing to compare to other than that. The old system still had a few working parts, but was constantly dysfunctional and could no longer fit my needs, not to mention that their Customer Service was the absolute worst I have ever worked with. It sucked!! For obvious reasons, I needed at least some repairs to this old 2017 system, if I could find someone who could work with older equipment. I checked with friends, and did some extensive research, and I found Think Security Solutions. Their reviews were top notch, so I decided this was the one for me. I can't believe how I hit the jackpot this time. I called and talked to the person at Think Security Solutions and told him my problem. It was Anthony. He took notes and he asked if he might come over to take a look at what we had, in order to see in person what was involved, so they could make a thorough assessment of what I would need. He actually offered to come over that afternoon, and he did. He gave me a complete overview of their services, and was very professional. He said that he believed they could use some of the old parts in order to save me some money, which I THOUGHT was what I wanted. So, hot dog!!! Game on! Anthony went back to the office to talk with his "team" to find the best and most efficient solutions. They came up with some very good ones, which would allow me to use the old cameras, which were really outdated but still functional. I kind of knew at that moment in the back of my mind I might really just want a whole new system, because I like the best quality I can get with any of my household upgrades. The most efficient way to do that is to start with all new stuff. Also, by temporarily saving money using old equipment, you are already buying more problems in the near future. But I wanted to see any options I might have, before I made a decision to do that. They came up with great answers, and the price was certainly right. Everything was ordered and they were back in about three days. The "Dream" Team"! Ruben, Anthony and Chris. I was so impressed as they began their work, explaining as they went along, making me aware of other options I also had. They did NOT ever try to sell me anything. However, after I got a look at all that beautiful new equipment, I decided what the heck, and told them to do a whole new system, cameras and all, and they got started. I decided to do the entire thing, because I found that seven years for a security system can be okay, but by that time, there are so many improvements that are continually arising. Fast forward! The Dream Team was phenomenal! They worked together, and fast, and kept me informed every step of the way. I had discussions with each guy separately, and I can honestly tell you that these guys are the real deal. They are not only very nice people, they know their stuff, and I never worried a minute from the moment they arrived. They were honest, and willing to help me in any way, they were super careful of my carpet and covered everything with drop cloths, and they actually got the system basically all installed that first day. Up and running and AMAZING!!! There was still a small problem that had to be solved, but they went back to the drawing board to find the best solution, and had a very good answer the next day. They arrived and started work immediately. I now have outstanding video cameras in my house that connect me with the outside, and which can all be operated easily, on my computers and my phone. I need to add that it was worth it to install all new equipment. There is a definite positive difference compared to my prior system. I really need to add here that their technology is so efficient. They send reminders by email and text, keeping you informed as to when they will arrive, etc. If there is a problem and they might be late, they let you know as soon as they can. I came in today because I needed some help getting my water cooler off of my motherboard. I am familiar with putting together custom PCs, but even after hours of work I couldn't get it off the mobo. The screws in the back panel were just spinning no matter what I did, and would not release the heat sink. I called and they said I could bring my PC in for a free diagnostic and they'll see what they could do. Staff and the owner are all super friendly! I (Patronize) THINK, Therefore I Am (In Better Hands) There's lots of windows with a sign that says "Computer Repair," but how many of them are true specialists? That's like a shoe cobbler who also hangs a plank out front that says "Brain Surgery." THINK Computers has always been on the cutting edge for almost 20 years now. I've been a customer for the last 10 years, and have never had a problem they couldn't Sherlock. They've extended the lives of two of my computers (which saved me hundreds of dollars). Reuben, the owner, has always been the nicest guy: he never charges to run a diagnostic (no matter how long it takes) and he's the most honest small businessman I've ever met. And finding someone who repairs anything these days who is honest is next to impossible. He never takes advantage. I've had some real nightmare scenarios, but he's always kept the price of repair totally fair and reasonable. And that's why I keep coming back. His Senior Tech, Baruce, is just as laid back and cool. Super nice guy. Another thing I've always liked is that unlike most computer geeks, they're excellent communicators and have real strong people skills. Very professional. Before I came to THINK, I would often be annoyed with how difficult it could be to deal with a techy. I'm not sharp with computers, but they explain everything in layman's terms and make getting my computer repaired a real breeze. There's a lot to be said for people who know their stuff and are easy to deal with. Another problem I've had with other computer repair shops is that they are usually real grubby looking, almost like a garage. THINK Computers' lobby is decked out real nice--their pro look makes me feel like they're going to do pro work. And they do. They also do security system installations, although I've never tried that. One way or another, THINK has kept my business over the years because they never act like they're the only game in town. I've never felt taken for granted. (And I can smell attitude two miles upwind.) So, between the fair prices, excellent work and great customer service--even after a whole decade--I'm still a happy camper. (Heck, most marriages should last this long.) read more

Pros: Good customer service; frequent updates Cons: Repair takes a while; few bumps in the road I went to Think Computers because it was near and had good reviews. The back of my computer needed replacing because it wouldn't close. I gave them my laptop and they called me to give me a quote. I thought it was fair so I told them to proceed with the fix. A week later, I get a call and the part was delivered dented so they ordered another one. The second part also came dented, so they order a third. Each part takes about a week to ship. Now, I know it isn't their fault, so I'm patient. They finally get a part that wasn't dented and the technician installs it. HE CRACKS MY SCREEN. Bruce, the guy that has been giving me updates, apologizes and says they'll replace my screen for free. I'm upset but that's fine. A week and a half goes by and they receive my screen. I drop my laptop off and pick it up in the afternoon. I go home with it and there are dead spots on my display. When my boyfriend drops it off the next day, they found that it was just dust, but guess what. THEY CRACK MY SCREEN AGAIN. So now I get to wait another week and a half and pray they don't crack it again trying to replace the cracked screen that they caused TWICE. This is the final straw. Bruce is a good guy. He has been apologetic and helpful this entire time. The customer service has been great; the actual service has not been. I have gone a month and a half (SO FAR) without a working laptop and that is too long of a time for anyone, especially a student like myself. read more

They do very good work on computers. They saved the hard drive on my desktop after it had been invaded by something when I was installing store-bought software. I brought several notebooks in to have pestware (factory installed Norton A/V) removed and other work done. Reasonable prices and good turnaround. On the other hand, we requested a quote on a multi-camera setup for a townhome complex, and after coming out and checking the property, never got back to us. I couldn't get a call back after calling in, which is very strange because we'd had such good result with the computers and no communications issues. So I recommend for the computer repair, but not for the security cameras, based on our experience. read more

I called to get a quote to have security cameras put all around my house. Ruben came out and we discussed where the cameras would be placed then he left and said he would get back to me with a quote. After about two months of not hearing anything I called him and he just apologized and said sorry I'll get the quote over to you. Again nothing so I called several months after that and I was told that they would get a quote over to me right away. That was nine months ago and I called about three weeks ago and explain the situation and said I'm just waiting for a quote and whoever it was that answer the phone simply said no problem we will get you a quote right away and then hung up.
