We were in New Jersey with friends and wanted to find something to do on top of slot machines and going down to the beach. We found Escape AC and decided to book a room. Super easy to find since it's actually located inside of a Casino. The staff members here are super friendly as well and we were able to use a promo code for 10% off. It came out to about $40.50/person. We originally wanted to do a different game room, but the only one available was the murder mystery one with about 5% success rate to escape. It made us a bit nervous since some in our group have never done an escape room before. I think the success rate at this location is so low because most of the other places I've gone to have allowed 1.5 hours minimum for a game room. Whereas at Escape AC, it is 1hr max to escape. However, our game master was super friendly and helpful. Instructions were given to us very thoroughly before the escape time started. And to our surprise, WE ESCAPED!!! Well, the caveat was that our game master was super kind and added an additional 2 minutes to the clock since we were extremely close at the end. The extra 2 minutes definitely made our experience that much more thrilling and enjoyable because our adrenaline was up when there was only 5 minutes remainder in the clock + the satisfaction of escaping. I highly recommend trying out their escape rooms if you are trying to find something to do in Atlantic City. It's a good bonding and team building exercise for sure.

We were confident we got this! Well we came close but no cigar! Lots of fun though!

So much fun! We did not escape, but came close. It was 3 of us. It was hard, but lots of fun. You need to think outside of the box for sure.

First time doing an escape room, and would 100% go back. I was with a bachelor party, so we had to split into two groups, and our group of eight guys went into the Backstage, alas, we could not escape. The truth is, it didn't matter that we couldn't escape, we had an amazing time. I made the reservations over the phone; the staff was very accommodating and explained exactly what an escape room was. When we go there, same thing. Your group does a 5 minute orientation to explain to you exactly what an escape room is, and some general rules and tips to be successful. I won't spoil the room itself; all I'll say is, it was a blast. We had quite a large group in the room, and my personal feeling is it's easier to do it with big groups, but small groups can work too. Once we failed to escape within the 60 minutes, the employee who was watching us the whole time took our picture, and we met up with the other half of our party. Every single person was more then willing to do it again! The $39/person price tag isn't cheap, but totally worth it. I'm not sure if you need a reservation, or they accept walk-ins, but for sure, Escape AC is a must if you are looking for a good time in AC that doesn't involve a deck of cards or dice.

Awesome time! We did the backstage room and it was challenging! We didn't escape but would totally do it again if we are in the area. They estimated we finished about 65% complete. You get one hour from start to finish. Arrive 15 minutes before. We reserved our slot online. We did a group of 6, they recommend 10. Highly recommend!

ESCAPETHEROOMers first time visiting this location was back in July 2018. Since then we've been back and completed all of their 4 games. This escape room is located in the Tropicana casino in Atlantic City and tt was a bit tricky to find as it's in the lower level of the casino. The lobby is clean and has some comfortable sofas in the waiting area. Although "Casino Cage" is the smallest room there, it was definitely challenging with two people as there's a lot of puzzles to do. However, we were just shy of one puzzle from successfully escaping. I would say ideally four people would be a good number for this room. This room had a lot of linear puzzles with mostly locks, but there was a clear storyline which we liked that told the story of how a casino cage functioned and the set design was also pretty immersive. Everything was very well maintained in there. If you go with two people, they will be able to give you your three clues right away. But if you go with more than two people, you will actually have to solve puzzles to earn your clues which will take away some of your time from the actual game so just beware of that. If you have more people, someone should definitely work on earning the clues as the others search for and work on the actual puzzles in the room. We attempted "The Poker Room" next. One of us got the three clues on their own, while the others searched the room and started to tackle the puzzles. Although the 3 hints definitely came in handy, we wasted way too much time in the beginning and ended up completing only 50% of the room. I think the "Poker Room" definitely needs six people or more to be able to get close to the finish line. We felt that with the difficulty level of this room, hints should be just given from the start instead of having to earn them. This room only has a 5% escape rate so I definitely encourage the experts to challenge this. The design of the room was quite clever as there's always a surprise factor one after another. There were some red herrings in the room but they can be easily spotted. We really enjoyed this room and was hoping we can see the end but they do not reveal anything further in hopes that you'll return and attempt it again. We attempted to escape the "Backstage" room with our sister and two other people that decided to join the room w/ us. We felt immersed right away as if you were part of a show. The room was dimly lit which made a lot of the puzzles harder to see. There were a few cleverly used props and puzzles with lights which we haven't seen before and it definitely challenged our memory. We enjoyed this room as well as each of their room gave us a unique puzzle experience. The last room we attempted was "The Broadway". The puzzles involved not only mental but some were physical challenges too. I would say one of them actually needed a bit of luck as it was the one we spend most of our time on.We particularly liked how the puzzles were spread out so that everyone could keep busy on their own. From the minute that we entered, we felt like we were actually outside on the boardwalk. The decor and sound was on point. The room was well maintained. Although this room only has a 25% escape rate, we definitely encourage you to have four people or more. Searching every inch of this room is a must! *For more info, check out my Yelp profile.

Honestly, one of the BEST experiences Atlantic City has to offer. Located inside Tropicana, this place had my friends and I both stressed to the max while having fun. It's a little difficult to find, but if you just ask around, everyone is super nice and knows exactly where it is. We just had lunch at Hooters prior and it's within 5 minutes of there, which if you know where Hooters is, it's by the boardwalk. Basically, you're voluntarily trapped in a room and in order to escape, you have to solve the puzzle. They give you about an hour and with it being so difficult and detail oriented, we weren't able to solve it :( If you plan on coming, I recommend coming with 6-10 people. They have four different rooms with one of them dedicated to 6-8 people, while the other three are for 8-10 people, I believe. Details are listed on their website. My friends and I did Casino Rage and we had 6 people. With the nature of the rooms not really changing, I don't have any pictures and they also ask the same of everyone else. The best part is figuring it out yourself, so I won't say anything more on my experience. The only thing I'll say is that it was SUPER fun and coming with a pretty smart group (we're all in med school, grad school, college, etc) we still found it super challenging. Make sure to take note of everything and to stay organized because that was our biggest problem. Be gentle of their equipment (locks, keys, etc) because I can only imagine how often they break from careless individuals hahah. Another great part is their customer service. I can't recall the name of the receptionist, but we came on Monday (4/12/21) at 6pm, so whoever was working that day was amazing. She was so lovely and explained everything perfectly. The other person I remember that helped us was Taylor and he was the "game master," who's in charge of watching the cameras and providing hints while we were solving the puzzle. He provided helpful hints and made sure we were all safe in there. Great guy and I hope you have him as a game master as well. Anyway, I highly recommend this place to everyone. Amazing time!

OMG this was so fun! My coworkers and I are visiting AC for fun and we put our teamwork to the test here! Out of 10 of us only a few had ever done any escape room activities before, and I was a total newbie. We apparently chose the most difficult room out of the 4 choices and it was really cool. We beat the time with ten minutes left and when we escaped they told us only 1 in every 4 groups make it out of that room due to the difficulty! They praised our teamwork and made it fun. Thanks!!

    Escaped with 27 seconds left!

Our puzzle master, Jamie, did a great job of explaining the process before we got started, and I do appreciate that the door is unlocked so you can come and go as needed (didn't have to, but I remember when that wasn't the case!). We did the Witch's Cauldron, which was a really fun room to work with. Of course without giving anything away, everything was pretty clear in terms of what was next, and clues came way in handy when we asked for them, which was easily done by just saying so while looking at a camera. I think this was their newest room, but the first one I'd been to. I thought it was really well done, and everyone was engaged throughout. I especially prefer the rooms where there's a lot that needs to be done, so people can split up doing stuff rather than everyone crowding around one puzzle. I'd love to try another room there sometime!

David was our game master and did a great job of explaining everything to us before we started and quickly feeding us clues during the game when we asked. We did the Egyptian Tomb: Imhotep's Curse because it felt the most like we were in Indiana Jones. I wish we had known there were actually two rooms, so that I might have budgeted my time better and asked for clues a little sooner. Alas, we did not escape the room(s), but it was still a great experience and it was all very well designed. I think we are all itching to come back for redemption, so we'll definitely return and give one of the other rooms a shot.

We decided on the zombie themed room and paid the higher than average price of $50 pp. We enjoyed the story line of the room- gather parts and fix up a motorcycle so you can escape the zombie outbreak. Great, we love a good but simple story line. Unfortunately, one puzzle was already solved so we were able to gain access to something immediately without solving anything. For 3 of the puzzles that we solved correctly the next step wasn't triggered. The game master kept telling us to wiggle parts or to make sure things were where they should be (after we already triple checked our solutions to puzzles) just added to the disappointment and frustration. The last puzzle before escaping the room wouldn't trigger to the point where the game master had to restart the game to see if that fixed the problems we were having. When that didn't work she came in, undid our correct solution and then told us not to worry, that we won and escaped the room. No grand finale of sound effects, lights, audio. Extremely anticlimactic and disappointing since it was due to puzzles not working. Lots of room for improvement as they seem to have strong story lines, decent decor and great trailers for their rooms. Some of the puzzles were very fun, unique and engaging. Based on our experience we would not return.
