I've been here 2 times now during our family getaway and so happy I decided to stop for coffee. The cashiers both visits were super friendly and made my coffee just how I like. I got two donuts for my kids the first time and they devoured them. The chocolate and strawberry sprinkle donuts. The second time I went I got the blueberry lemon scone and it was super tasty. Lots of blueberries and great lemon taste. We are only here for one more day and if I'm able we will visit once more before heading back home to Chicago. read more

So glad I found this awesome bakery! I must have bought 1 of everything when I was in here this weekend. The crackers were great to have while going in and out of the wineries. I brought 2 of the "Frozen" cupcakes home for my kids and they devoured them in a matter of minutes. I did get to sneak 1 bite of the vanilla and it was fantastic. I will definitely be stopping back in here when we are in the area next year. read more

It isn't on purpose that we found Third Coast.. no. My husband "needed" a coffee and we happened to drive by. Never not up for a coffee I was all for turning around and stopping in. He went to the bathroom and my eyes widened as I saw the baked goods and their ingredients. Quickly "doing the math" and rapidly realizing omg! GF plus DF! Woohoo! If you've tried GF treats then you may know that they frequently aren't fantastic. Theirs were really very good. I tried the large gingersnap cookie (YUM!) and he had a cherry chocolate something.. Gluten free bread fresh from the oven! My family turned me into a nut about the bread and I used to find anything gluten free tasteless and like I was chomping on cardboard! Their variety of baked goods is impeccable. I highly recommend because I freeze half a loaf and even after being defrosted the bread still holds its own in flavor and texture! read more

I get so excited about completely GF bakeries. They have a sign on the door asking that no outside food or drinks be brought in because they want to keep people with allergies safe. I got an assortment of baked goods. I have to say that the cinnamon rolls were the best I've ever come across. They had the perfect soft doughy texture. And the cinnamon wasn't overwhelming. I don't think anyone would know it was GF. We also bought a loaf of bread and some croutons. Let me just say that I could snack on those croutons all day. They are so delicious. You can really tell that they are talented at making GF items taste great. I'm not local but will make a point to stop by next time I'm in MI. read more

Was looking for a caffeine fix and decided to try out a local place versus looking for a Starbucks and BOY am I glad we did. This place will be on my list to visit every time I'm up in TC now. No clue it was gluten free/dairy free baked goods and even while eating them you'd have no idea, they are better then most things I've eaten that include those items. Their Cheery Cherry Breakfast Cookies are amazing and were one of my favorite items from what I picked out, Chocolate Chip Cream Pies again so FREAKING GOOD (and now I know they have a carrot cake variant I'll be on the hunt for that), Lemon Lavender Scones were very good as well but as a person who strangely loves the taste of Lavender I wish it had more, but it was very good regardless. This is a brand new bakery at 523 Munson Avenue in Traverse City. They have products that are gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. Many options for people that are vegans. Heather, the owner, was very accommodating in explaining what every product had in it. Usually I have to worry about what I'm going to be eating but they had plenty of options for this vegetarian. I stopped by Third Coast yesterday, for the first time, and all I really wanted was a cup of coffee...but of course, I was in a bakery, so I had to try something. Lots of interesting looking baked goods, but ultimately I went with their GoGo! Energy Bites. HOLY MOLY, these little bites were AWESOME! The bites were super moist, and had extremely good flavor! These bites rank right up there with my all-time favorite energy bar which we discovered while hiking in Banff, Alberta. My wife, who is a super picky vegetarian, loved them as well! This is the cutest coffee shop! Lots of natural lighting and a cozy, warm fireplace. They of course have delicious pastries, donuts, and bars, made in-house. We ordered a pumpkin scone and a pumpkin cream pie. They were melt in your mouth good! The bakery alao offers a unique variety of coffee drinks as well as plain coffee. I ordered a Candy Cane mocha with their house-made almond milk. I was very impressed. They also had a lavender latte that I plan to go back and try. The gals were very friendly and actually looked like they had fun working there. Free wifi and we enjoyed sitting there for a couple hours. I am celiac. Diagnosed 30 years ago. Strangely enough I did not eat anything because of an allergy to legumes (garbanzo, peanuts, pea protein, etc.) which is in their primary flour mix. However, the place was packed!! Options were plentiful. The locals that came in told me they had the best gluten free baked goods around. The business owner was very accommodating, offering to custom bake anything without the allergens and ship to my home. Props to this small business owner. read more
