This is an amazing cafe, and I say that as a cafe connoisseur. Good service, good interior, good coffee and food. I dream about their sandwiches.. The beet reuben is 10/10, my favorite sandwich from anywhere (I prefer it on sourdough). Truly cannot understand the poor reviews.. Have been here multiple times (not local or I would be a regular) and had no issues. Love this place!

Breakfast sandwich with ham and ham and brie baguette

Hard pass and now I can't trust "influencers" who tik tok this place saying that this was a MUST. Incredibly rude girl working the register. Didn't have ingredients (bacon) first thing in the morning (fine), a sweet guy apologized after the fact Sandwiches were mediocre at best - bread was cold for both - egg was cooked nicely and the fig jam was a highlight I get the breakfast scene in tc isn't booming, but if it weren't for the rude encounter, then I'd rate the place better.

Loved the Outpost!! Visited from out of town and wish I could have come here every day. It has such cute decor and goods to buy, and the food was awesome. We got the BEC breakfast sandwich, the breakfast burrito, the dark chocolate brown butter sea salt cookie, the ginger molasses cookie and two decaf iced brown sugar lattes. Burrito was incredible, breakfast sandwich was very good but the sauce gave it a little kick, cookies were incredible and lattes were good but didn't stand out. We paid $53 with tip but we got a lot and ended up pretty full.

Super cute place! It looks like they renovated since we've been here last. Coffee a sandwiches are super good. Today we tried the date balls as well and we didn't like them unfortunately, so I'd skip that next time. But their food and coffee is great! Pretty quick service as well .

Cozy vibe the minute I walked in. Asked for a recommendation for a late lunch...the Rachel was suggested. Took a seat enjoying my hot coffee, served in a real mug! Gorgeous sandwich arrived within minutes. Toasted rye with thinly sliced turkey, melted Swiss, coleslaw with a delicious house made dressing. Absolutely delicious!!! Thank you for high quality service, food, ambience! A+

Cool ambiance, but chairs are not comfortable in the front half. The back half has cushioned seats. There are outdoor seats too. We sat in the front window area to enjoy the ac and people watch. The chai latte wasn't very good. It was bland. I wish the hot tea was steeped with the loose leaves in a real mug. There is food available. Free street parking on Sundays.

    Cappuccino and Cortado

My favorite coffee shop in Traverse City. It's located downtown, I have never had an issue with parking. I'm sure it can get a little tricky with summer time, but each time I've found a shop out front. I love their Cortado. Their espresso is very tasty and it tastes very smooth and creamy when complimented by milk. When I don't want milk I get an americano or even their drip coffee tastes good. Those who need milk alternatives there's oat and pistachio. Got to say pistachio wins over oat in taste at least. Got a pistachio milk matcha and it's so creamy and the pistachio milk really blends well with their matcha. My husband likes an iced latte with pistachio milk. I've tried a lot of their pastries now. I think a good ol butter milk croissant is still my number one. I tried a sandwich and it was very good. You can tell their pastries are good quality. I see they sell The Mill baking products so I wonder if they use their ingredients from the shop or get pastries delivered. Either way it's delicious! You know this shop is good when I get home and come in with an Outpost coffee and my family says, "You went to Outpost without us?" I'll keep supporting this shop! Cheers on having such a cool coffee shop with great service and very welcoming vibe.

Ambiance and friendly service was the only thing we enjoyed. Went on a Sunday for breakfast since all the sit downs were packed, so we expected to wait but as a quick casual option the wait was way too long. Waited in the order at the counter line for 20 min and then another hour for a toast and 2 sandwiches. They were also already out of eggs and avocado at 10am... coffee options were simple and just okay (no syrups, spices, or seasonal options). The baguette for sandwiches were so hard and crunchy, it wasn't enjoyable to eat. The salmon toast was the best food option we ordered.

Can't speak to anything else, but the PB and J sandwich (called "Trailblazer, " I think?) is THE BEST PB AND J that I have ever had.

Great sandwiches. Chai latte was more bitter than sweet (for my taste). Avoid baguette if you arent in love with a harder bread.

I thought it had a nice ambience with good service too! This use to be the Brew, but it's now smaller and cozier.

A modern ambiance with great service and good sized crowd. Our server was attentive and friendly and professional. They had a solid food and drink menu and we enjoyed our oysters and tuna carpaccio apps. My Caesar salad was fresh with the right level of parm, dressing, and sourdough croutons, our mushroom risotto and trout was well portioned and prepared-- so delicious. There wasn't room for dessert but and overall excellent dinner experience.

The avocado toast was inedible. The eggs were barely cooked. The greens were plain and undressed (bitter arugula). The tomatoes were soggy. The bread was thin and untoasted, so it got soggy really quickly. The avocado was a thin consistency (maybe packaged avo?), browning, and a super thin layer. They gave me a little side of fresh berries that seemed like they were packaged for a few days (strawberries a little sketch.) They were out of almond croissants and many other pastries (10a on a tues.) You order at the counter and they bring food to you. I found a paid parking spot in the lot right in front ($1.50/hr or so). There are lots of cute seating areas so this space would have potential if they fix the food situation. The pictures on their Instagram made it look much tastier than it was :/
