I made a reservation a week in advance to celebrate a birthday party here. We went to check several karaoke spots in the area, and found this one to be most cost effective ($40/hour for 4 guests, $5/hour for each additional guest), nicer rooms and a fantastic food menu as well, since also had a restaurant section. Added benefit, they had their own parking lot, fitting about 10-12 cars right in front of the 3rd floor entrance thru the private parking lot. Once we arrived on Saturday evening, the manager took us to their biggest room since we had about 14 people. The room was cozy enough. All guests were able to see the TV fine. The music/lyrics were played through Youtube, so it was easy to search and play them. The microphones and sound systems worked fine too. We were the only ones in the karaoke room around 7pm, but by 9pm all their rooms were full, so was the restaurant's dining space. During the party, we ordered a bunch of drinks and food items. They had a call-in button in the room that notified the manager to come in. The grape slush bowl were massive hits among our friends. Ube rice wine also good. Among food onion rings, fresh fries, cheese sticks, fried (pork) dumplings, chicken wings, chili shrimp, and cream shrimp all were good quality. I loved the fried gizzards, takoyakis and butter roasted squid. They actually served a whole squid that I had to cut in pieces. Throughout the night the manager and rest of staff members provided wonderful service. Being a large party, we had lots of orders and requests, that they accommodated for us. They also kept the birthday cake in their kitchen and when we were ready, they brought it out with a fire cracker on top. We also got plenty of bowls and cups for all of us to share the food, cake and drinks. Originally we had booked for 2 hours, but since everyone was having such good time, we extended for another hour. Wonderful karaoke and food. We had my birthday party on a Saturday night. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Amazing from beginning to the end. The room gives concert vibes. Nice red cushion sofa and big tables for food. We used the YouTube system instead of the regular code system (key in the song code from the book). Very easy to navigate. Stereo and mic system was good. No audio feedback. You can adjust music and mic volumes separately. Only 2 microphones can connect to the stereo. I wish we could have 4 but it's ok. We ordered a lot of food and drinks. I was so busy singing. I really didn't know what were the names of the dishes or drinks. But the soju drink with grape slush was wonderful. Very light. It's shareable size. Came with 4 straws. Also a ube drink that you pour ube juice into a bowl of alcohol (?). Very interesting and great taste. Onion rings were crispy. Takoyaki was not bad. If one has been in Korea and still hasn't gone to a pocha (포차), it's time to change that. Pocha is short for "pojangmacha," which literally translates to "covered wagon." Back in the day, these were food stalls covered with tarps to block the wind and rain. Today, they're more like Korea's answer to the dive bar meets food truck meets neighborhood auntie's kitchen. Located on the 3rd floor at Broad Avenue, we decided on the Third Floor Pocha and Karaoke (삼층포차 & 노래방) in Palisades Park for a celebratory event. Upon arrival as first-timers, we were greeted by the host, who led us to a private room in the back. The reservation was made for 2 hours but extended to 3 for a crowd-pleasing fun time with karaoke (Noraebang). The venue was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The karaoke system itself was outstanding and offered multiple versions of songs. The menu features tavern-style Korean food. The real reason one comes here is to drink soju paired with a beer and Ube Sweet Rice Wine as a toast shot. We ordered various Korean appetizers from Old Style Korean Fried Chicken, including a fried sampler platter, fried dumplings, fried chili shrimp, etc. Every bite was flavorful; using fresh ingredients went terrifically well. After a full day of shopping, my friend and I were so exhausted and starving, so stumbling upon this pocha spot felt like fate. First things first: parking was surprisingly easy with street parking right out front. Just look for the restaurant sign, head in, and take the elevator up. And wow.....from the moment the food hit the table, it was game over. I'm not just saying this because we were hungry, but the meal was genuinely THAT good. My friend and I couldn't stop reacting between bites of stuffing our face - constant "omg," "this is SO good," and full on "nom nom nom" energy the entire time. We ordered the mala rose noodles with chicken, and let me tell you, they did NOT skimp on the chicken. There was so much of it, and everything was perfectly coated in this rich, flavorful rose mala sauce. We also added extra chewy noodles to clean up the leftover sauce. Absolute must order! We originally wanted the pork jowl suyuk, but they were sold out, so we went with the bossam instead, no regrets. The pork was incredibly tender, flavorful, and just melted in your mouth. For drinks, we tried the strawberry wine bomb, and it was such a fun surprise. Think slushy, sweet, and dangerously easy to drink with lots and lots of strawberries! Came here a few times and always had a good experience. It can be a tad tricky to find the place especially from broad Ave but once you find the store sign to enter through the door, you walk thru the hallway until you find the elevator. Once you get off the elevator you will know where it is and someone will seat you once you enter thru the entrance. The last time I went, I got this bowl of fruit frozen wine drink. It's kinda like a slushy fruit bowl with alcohol. This is meant for sharing and it was not too sweet, be careful because there is alcohol and you don't taste much of it but you will feel it. My friend wanted to try the intestine dish, I'm not a fan in general but tried a few pieces. Also got the chicken and scallion dish and that was really solid. Came with a group of 8 on a Friday evening around 11:30pm. Wasn't too busy (maybe 4-5 other parties). Ordered two servings of budae-jjigae, corn cheese, intestines, noodles in creamy mala sauce, couple bowls of rice, and ended with the hwachae. Food came out quickly. Kitchen closes at 12:30am. Budaejjigae came on a hot plate so the ramen could cook - thin slices of hot dog, surprise slices of pepperoni, tofu, kimchi, zucchini, etc. Mala noodles (new item) was SO good. Surprisingly spicy, but very tasty - sauce was so good I mixed rice in the leftover sauce. Intestines came with dipping accouterments (soybean flour, sauce), and plenty of aromatics (kimchi, scallion kimchi, slices of cooked garlic, raw jalapeños, and raw onions). Corn cheese was good, decent portion, with the cheese perfectly charred. S/o to the Korean friend who did all the ordering, asking for more water etc, but plenty of staff floating around. Just shy of $30 per person, and left very full! Parking lot not too small, but could see it getting packed when busy. read more

I went to Third Floor Cafe to celebrate a friend's birthday. The spot was a little tough to find but my friend told me later that there is parking directly outside the cafe (on the third floor of course). I opted for street parking and walked up the 3 flights of stairs to build up an appetite. We were a larger group but even on a busy Saturday evening they were able to accommodate us pretty quickly. The spot is decently sized with plenty of seating. It's clean but it's pretty dark inside with an average-noisy noise level. Typical pocha vibes. My friend took care of ordering all the food. The portions are pretty big and good for sharing. The first thing to come out was the chicken and it was crispy and seasoned well. Everyone ate it so fast that I wasn't even able to get a picture of it. Everything we ordered basically had kimchi in it, but I was a fan. It had some sourness, some umami, and just enough spice. It went well with the rice, the pork belly, and in the stew. I didn't try anything new, but everything was delicious. I would definitely come back to try some other dishes. read more

The soups were a close second. This place is a great place to eat good food while drinking. The staff is also super nice - they heard us sing happy birthday to one of our friends and brought over a free drink with a sparkler. We also received a free bottle of beer for leaving a Google review (my rating is not influenced by that, but just stating this fact). They also broke up a fight between two drunk customers and apologized to us for the commotion. The prices were also pretty good, we spent a little under $50/person which included 8 dishes, a pitcher of beer, and 4 bottles of soju. It is easy to get staff's attention. The budaejigae has a spicy kick and was filled with pepperoni, spam, salami, ramen, and tofu. The soy garlic wings are very seasoned, but the size of each wing was a bit small. The gopchang combo had both small and big intestine along with chives, onion, kimchi, garlic and jalapeños to complement the intestines. Down the hall and up 3 floors is where you can find this new(ish) pocha with good food and friendly service. There were a bunch of drink promos going on and the menu had a lot of the dishes that we were craving for in a pocha. Egg Omelette was fluffy. Seafood Pancake was really crispy. Army Stew was hot and flavorful. Pepperoni Corn Cheese was gooey, sweet and salty. The soju was ice cold and so was the beer. The fried chicken wings could've been crispier/had better sauce. It was pretty packed when our group of 7 arrived after 10pm on a Saturday night, but died down when we left a little before midnight. It looks like they first opened here in February 2022. Overall this place was a 4 stars. The food ranged from 3.5 to 4 depending on the items that we had. Limited beer options. They do not have draft beer and only bottle and not many options at all. The noddle with soup they give you on the house was pretty yum. We had the garlic fried chicken which had an excellent garlic flavor but the chicken itself was disappointing. It was very crispy but there was barely any meat! Bunch of breading with tiny measly pieces of chicken! What was that?! We ate a bunch of just fried dough. You first scan the qr code for the menu and they have a variety of small and big plates of food and a decently sized selection of alcohol like beer, wine, and soju. I loved how hot all the food came out and you can tell as everything is steaming and crunchy/tender. The portions are on the bigger side than what I see at other restaurants. The ambiance of the restaurant itself is nice - it's pretty dark but illuminated by some colored lights and neon signs. We got here at around 7:30 and it was quite empty, but that quickly changed as the night progressed! By 9pm, it was packed and I could tell that a queue was forming.
