It's the perfect spot to gather with friends for food, drinks, and karaoke. I tried the Scallion Chicken which was crispy, bite sized, and served in a savory dipping sauce. So easy to eat and enjoy! The Corn Cheese was probably the most cheese I've ever seen on this dish; an absolute dream if you're a cheese lover. The Spicy Beef Stew was warm, comforting, and tender with the perfect kick. The Hamburger Meat dish was decadent and rich over sweet caramelized onions. The Cheesy Omelette was one of our favorites! Cheesy on the inside with crispy garlic on top. Bulgogi Tacos had tender meat and was a harmonious blend of Korean and Mexican flavors. The Cheesy Spicy Chicken was insanely delicious. A massive, shareable portion filled with chicken, potatoes, rice cakes and onions, completely blanketed in cheese. I'd come back just for this! However, the Kimchi & Seafood Pancakes had great flavor, but unfortunately they came out a bit soggy, so I'd probably skip these next time. Pair all of this amazing food with their flavored soju and chilled beer, and finish the night off in their karaoke rooms. This place has amazing vibes and ever better food and drinks!

I had been to Soosanghan Pocha before for some karaoke but never really had their food. It's a pretty large space and given how early it was the space was practically empty. I ordered a burger skillet and my girlfriend got the Army Stew. The Army Stew was good and comforting on a chilly morning. It was packed with all different kinds of processed meats and some noodles. My burger skillet was a lot bigger than i expected and it tasted really good. It was essentially a huge burger patty in a bed of caramelized onions with an egg on top. The meat was super juicy and flavorful. It was pretty tender too. It was on the saltier side, especially if you got a spoonful of the sauce. But that just means it paired especially well with the white rice it was served with. The service was quick and friendly, but I expected it to be with the restaurant basically empty. Overall I enjoyed the meal and would come back to try some more of their dishes.

I looooove this place! Definitely my new spot…read more Had a really great experience at De Novo. I ordered the squid ink spaghetti along with the mussels and fries, and everything was delicious. My sister got the short rib, she said it was a tad dry but very tasty, the polenta was so good! The squid ink pasta was flavorful and cooked perfectly, and the mussels were fresh. The fries were also really good, which sounds simple but makes a difference. The customer service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the view is absolutely amazing, definitely adds to the whole experience. Would absolutely come back. We also got a brownie with caramel gelato. Can't wait to come back!

The lady helping us that night was friendly and even helped us make choices that was best for us which we appreciated. We ordered four different types of pasta and calamari to start. I'd say overall everything was good. The cheese based pasta was a bit heavy but the flavors were nice. Some of the wine prices were actually much better than other areas (especially when compared to the city). Cute intimate place that would be great for a date night. Came here after dark but feel like coming for brunch would be good as well to really get most of the view. I'd say definitely worth a visit.

Both portions were generous, both items were really really good and satisfying. The kimchi seemed like a really healthy dish and had a really nice depth of flavor without being too spicy. The waiter and rest of the staff were friendly and very helpful with recommendations. They gave us complimentary soup with noodles that was very tasty. We selected four skewers (chicken, short rib, pepper in bacon, mushroom in bacon) and beef pancakes with scallions to start. An excellent and flavorful selection of appetizers. We knew that we wanted to order a solid amount of entree to share and went with the fried chicken with garlic and the thin beef brisket with clams. The fried chicken was a HUGE pile of perfectly fried and seasoned chicken. I haven't had better Korean fried chicken! The brisket and clams was also delicious, had never considered that combination before but enjoyed it to the point where I was looking for more clams. Absolutely stuffed and looking to return!

The meal came with a baked potato, steamed vegetables, and two dozen steamed clams, all washed down with a cold bottle of Briar's root beer. Pub 199 feels like walking into a natural history museum inside a hunting lodge, surrounded by taxidermy and rustic decor. The service is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the prices remain very reasonable. If you enjoy classic New Jersey spots with character and reliable food, this is one worth visiting. If you've been here, feel free to share your experience or leave a review.

Tonight I ordered the 2 doz calms (always a must) and the steak and lobster tail. It was AMAZING as always. My normal order is the whole lobster but now that they offer 2 tails I always will get that. I'm excited to try the lobster bisque which I didn't try tonight. My only complaint tonight is the waitress came over with a dish of fries for my husband who ordered the baked potato (omg so good also order the baked potato) and apologized for selling out of the potatoes. 5 Minutes later we see the table next to us get their baked potato's with their dishes. My husband was so mad. Don't lie to people when we love your food. Fries could be better. (We left them). And their vegetables are always soggy and not worth eating. Back to the positive the seafood and steaks are always worth looking over the sides. Not the baked potato, keep doing what you're doing with them. Except stop lying to the customers.

Obviously the outside is traditional to the moon but once you go in it is a mix of character and new age bliss. They only have one happy hour special at the moment which is a beer, a burger and a shot for $10 which can't be leaked. Unfortunately I wasn't opting for the burger but I was able to get a beer and add a $2 shot to get the most bang for my buck. The tap collection is a great mix. It's one of the few places that has a a selection of local New York Piers, including harp lager, but then you always have your traditional Sam Adams, which this time was a winter white air and of course PBR. The beers come in 10 oz mugs which is an interesting size. They range from $5 to $8 at this moment. And the well liquor is not the type that will give you a headache unless you're just drinking it in excess. When I came there was no one there but it was a slow Monday. Either way the service was great. The music mix was fun and very diverse as well as they have three TVs that you can adjust. Pool tables, arcade game. Retro lounge chairs with a cute custom table. I'm a sucker for a bar where I can go by myself until the home and this one did the trick. Prices are reasonable but I miss the $3 beer days lol Since I didn't get the food and I do think the price is a bit high for the area and giving it four stars. But honestly for what it is I would pay a dollar extra for a beer here versus some other places.
