What started off as a disappointment turned into quite a surprise. I just happen to be driving back from the post office when I saw a sign Wednesday chicken wings $.25. It was lunchtime and I figured. How could I go wrong? The interior of this establishment is absolutely charming. Quite a surprise since the exterior is very plain almost looking like just a two-story house. When I got ready to order the chicken wings, they told me that the $.25 wings were boneless and I absolutely despise boneless chicken wings. They explained that the bone in chicken wings were a dollar each so I asked to see a menu. I am a sucker for a good fish dinner and they had a thin and crispy perch dinner. Upon receiving the purge dinner, I was absolutely floored with five good size pieces of fish, perfectly seasoned salt and pepper, crinkle, french fries, coleslaw, and a choice of soup or salad to which I declined both. I ordered a Guinness and I was ready to go. Now now with standing the fact that this is the first time that I've been here, the fish was cooked. Absolutely perfect. The french fries and seasoning were tasty. The coleslaw was superb. I immediately called my wife and told her that we have to come again for a second run but that I was so impressed with what I received. This dinner is easily enough for two grown people. That is just an added bonus when I stumble across something like that. The environment was clean. The woman that took care of me was very pleasant and thorough. I am just floored that this place is walking distance from my house. Whoever owns this joint well done!

A very well done establishment. Clean and ready for your attention. The cost of beer is definitely on the higher end, a tall will cost you approx $8.50! The variety of beer is lack luster, not what I would except from a location called The Thirst Parlor. The beer a variety does not quench my thirst and I am not longing for more than one of the generic draft offerings at a premium price. We have had a few different pizzas. Each of them have been uniquely good. The Dill pickle pizza was exceptional! The fries are shoestring, and nicely done! The "chicken tenders" were blah, boring and worthless! It was a glorified long chicken nugget... I guess your 3-4 year old will appreciate them but any grown adult should stay away from these processed pieces of junk. Our friends had the bean burger. They weren't raving about it but did manage to finish it. The staff have all been friendly and aim to please. It's worth your time to visit them and determine your opinion.

I had to share this new (and also very old) bar. The food was great, beer is freezing and everything you could possibly want to watch is on TV. A great local renovated bar that is historic.

    Bright open clean dining

This is our second time here. We had dinner here last week and the food and service was amazing. This time it was breakfast. Again the food was amazing , biscuits and gravy with the best biscuits with a nice crispy texture on the bottom. All of yhe breakfast food was great The pricing was real reasonable and a good value for the food and drinks ANNND they have MIMOSAS!

The menu is good but the food not so much. The service is awful, and management even worse. Zero appreciation for customer loyalty as well.

I have to recommend the BLT Pizza! You don't need to order salad, the pizza comes with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on the Pizza.

Great food and service, the pizza especially. The best new "old" bar in town, as they advertise. I'll def be going back again

The double smash burger hit the spot for being beefy and cheesy, nice soft bun with onion, lettuce and tomato(?). Side of Mayo came with it, other condiments in a basket with utensils. It was a little messy but that's what made it delicious. I tried the garlic dill fries and they were thinner cut, hot, crispy and while seasoned well- which for some may be a little too salty. I would get them plain next time- I will definitely be back as I enjoyed the meal so much. They have seats at the bar, tables inside and a good sized covered outdoor patio. Darker ambiance inside with lighting from neon lights and 3 big TV screens above the bar, though some evening natural light added in. Service was great, since I sat at that bar where the drinks were being made. Staff were busy taking care of food and drink orders but attentive to customers at all the right times: greeting new ones at the bar, they took my order promptly, food came out in decent amount of time for dinner/ Happy Hour crowd. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion of food I enjoyed. Clean inside and good communication between staff making sure everything was going smoothly. There's limited parking on the street outside but a large lot a short distance away, accessible to those with mobility concerns. Patio could seat about 15 and inside seat 30(?) including barstools, plus standing room for busier times. I highly recommend this spot for food, drinks and a good time.

They were both really good but nothing too special but for the price it is definitely worth it cause for me and my wife to eat and have drinks was under $40. I didn't know you could still go out to eat for that price.

We decided to sit out at the patio cause it was a nice day. They had a band getting ready to play which was pretty cool. We ordered a couple cocktails I got a Peach Old Fashioned which was very delicious and boozy. As for an appetizer we ordered these Pretzel sticks which were soft and chewy and then the cheese that came with it was delicious. The burger I had was called "Fire Haven" it had onions, tomato and jalapeños on it with 2 hamburger patties, it had lettuce but I asked for no lettuce since we have this parasite going around the U.S. right now, The burger was quite tasty and very fulfilling, the jalapeño had a nice crunch to it and the meat was seasoned very well. I also ordered a German Dunkel beer which I didn't really care for, I thought I would like it cause I love dark beers but I guess I don't like German dark beers. Everything here was so good. We were able to seat ourselves, the waitress, who was also the bartender, serves us our cocktails really fast and just everything was spot on.

This is a German restaurant in name only. Service was sub-par. My party sat for 10-15 minutes before water was offered. Ordered appetizers and our dinners. Dinners came first followed five minutes later by appetizers. My order of Chicken paprikash was lukewarm and I could find very little chicken in it. I was so hungry I regrettably ate it that way. Waitress never checked back if everything was ok or if we wanted another round of drinks. I generously give two stars because the Weihenstephaner Dunkel on draft is a rare find and the German egg rolls are outstanding. Other than that, our visit was sehr enttäuschend (disappointing)
