Great venue for live music! Love the arcade and the other bar games of course! Great place for photos.

This place is hopping sometimes but was dead when I went. I don't recommend their kareoke nights. The staff was attentive, good 80s music playing, drinks priced reasonably. Lots of comfortable seating, outdoor patio, and arcade games. I would come here again on a different night.

We came for k pop night. There is a cover and most people go up on stage to do k pop dance routines. They have a handful of vendors as well.it was a cool event.

Showed up just in a whim and had a blast. It was Friday nite Disney karaoke. The place got here asked but the staff were all fast and friendly. The people there were all chill and relaxed. We stayed a few hours and really enjoyed it. Can't wait to come back!

Are you ready to dance all night to the new wave hits of the 80s? Thirsty Camel Bar has a live band that plays all the British Invasion favorites! You won't be able to stay off the dance floor once The Max starts playing! Once you hear them sing Depeche Mode, The Cure, or New Order, you'll feel like you've been transported back in time! When we arrived at this locale, I wasn't sure what to expect but I did notice right away, how clean everything was. The bartenders were friendly and almost always remembered what I was drinking. The bar back immediately picked up empty glasses from tables and mopped up spills. You can tell the owners and workers really take pride in the place. There are a couple of outside seating areas that were nicely decorated and even had televisions to watch the band and dance floor. If I could change one thing it would be to add some fans or something to make the outside seating a little cooler in summer. I was really happy they made hot dogs and nachos so we could have a snack before heading home. I think I really want my next birthday party to be at Thirsty Camel!

Last time I was here, this place had a different name but felt a lot the same. You'll find Thirsty Camel in the back of The Yard Shopping Center. I found Thirsty Camel because I frequent Olmos Perk and sometimes their wine nights end a bit too early, which makes walking across a parking lot for more drinks much more convenient than driving somewhere. Inside, Thirsty Camel is divided into a few different rooms. You have the front room where DJ's usually spin pretty decent music. I'm not a fan of techno (so much so that this is likely not even the most accurate term) and the music tends to shift that direction as the night goes on. You'll find beer pong, comfy couches, a patio with fire pits (my favorite) and a slew of locals ready to party. If this is what you're in the mood for, Thirsty Camel will treat you right!

You need earplugs to hear the music without hurting your ears and brain. Listen from the bar and it may sound good

Gotta say, I think it will. You walk in through the patio which is a completely different (relaxing) vibe than the bar itself. The music was great and spanned decades and genres. I found myself dancing in my seat and enjoying my time. It wasn't very crowded but after scouring their social media they've been open for about a month. I'm anxious to see their late night food menu. I've already made plans with friends to come back and check it out. Five stars for potential. I enjoyed my time there and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. I was given sauces with the chicken, but was unsure if I'd like them. I ended up getting a side of their ginger mayo as well, but they were all delicious! As others have said, the food isn't anything *too* special, but gives people with celiac disease and gluten allergies/intolerances so much more peace of mind knowing that everything about the restaurant is catered towards their gluten-free needs. I enjoyed the cinnamon sugar donuts a lot (they'd go even better with some sort of Bavarian cream), but a couple non-gluten free folks tried them and didn't like them. Overall, I had a great experience here and will definitely try to visit when I'm in Texas. The employees were very attentive and even assured me before ordering that everything is 100% gluten free. Usually, the bar seating is first come, first served. However, today there were two reserved spots at the bar, and the bartender was actively clearing anyone who tried to sit in them. What was more frustrating was watching the seating situation while I waited. There were three booths and two tables being held with reserved signs, yet during the almost hour I spent waiting, no one sat at any of those tables. I completely understand having reservations and managing seating accordingly, but it was difficult to understand why so much seating was being held while guests were waiting. If those tables were reserved for a specific time, it would have been helpful to have some communication about that. I've enjoyed Barbaro in the past, which is why I wanted to share this feedback. Hopefully the seating process can be made a little clearer and more accommodating for guests waiting to be seated.

First of all, they no longer offer chips and salsa! Margaritas and chips and salsa are the binge food of most San Antonians, but not at Bays anymore! Also, goodbye to Scotch eggs. The nachos, which used to be a glorious gathering of refried beans and cheese, are now tiny chips with strange black beans scattered over them and lightly topped with some unidentified cheese. Barely edible. Thank God they didn't mess with the chili, although when I asked for chips with my chili, I was told there were none. The nachos were made with chips, but I couldn't get any for my chili. I then asked for crackers, expecting at least some saltines. Nope, I got wheat thins. And the frozen margaritas are now snowcones. If there is tequila in them, I couldn't taste it. Our server kept claiming he was "new" so he couldn't answer our questions about the menu changes. But he was quick to point out that he worked for tips when he brought us the check. All in all, this was a VERY disappointing experience. We arrived at noon, just an hour after opening, and the restaurant was nearly empty. The greeter asked us to wait a few minutes before seating, which puzzled us, but we complied. When she returned, we understood why. Our table was decorated with a Happy Anniversary sign, hearts scattered across the tablecloth, a handwritten card, and a single rose. It was a beautiful gesture and made us feel celebrated from the start. For our appetizer, we ordered the Milk Bread with Lavender Butter. The flavor was wonderful, both the bread and the butter. The only caveat was the texture. Milk bread is traditionally made with the Tangzhong method for a cloud‑soft, airy interior, but this version was extremely dense and heavy. My husband ordered the Petite Bone‑In Ribeye (14 oz) with Chipotle Mac & Cheese and a Tropical Tea, which was excellent. I ordered the Prix Fixe with the Fleming Salad and Filet Medallions in demi‑glace with Campari tomatoes and sautéed spinach. This is where the experience shifted. The Fleming Salad arrived limp and wilted, with a presentation that immediately signaled something was off. Instead of the two medallions pictured online, I received one. The filet itself was medium‑rare in the center, but the top was blackened, crispy, and literally hard as a rock. It was tough, difficult to chew, and not at all the texture or quality of a filet. I did not finish it. The sautéed spinach was overwhelmed by demi‑glace, more sauce than vegetable. We did not order dessert, but the staff surprised us with four chocolate truffles infused with orange liqueur as an anniversary treat. My Blackberry Lavenderade was also very good. The hospitality and staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. However, the food fell short for a restaurant with premiere pricing and the word Steakhouse in the name. The space itself could use polish as well. The plates showed decades of wear, there was a faint old‑carpet smell, and the bathroom was extremely dark with fixtures and granite that clearly have not been updated since opening. Fleming's made us feel celebrated, and I appreciated that deeply. But the meal did not match the level of care or the price point.
