Food and beer selection was pretty impressive. The restaurant is very loud, but that really isn't too much of an issue as you know what you're getting when you walk in. My issue was with our waitress. Exceptionally rude, inattentive and even forgot items. She treated us so badly I even talked to my guest about whether or not I should address her and asked if we did something to make her angry. I decided to let it go and I'll never go back. I really can't understand the low rating on this place. Yea it's crowded, yea it's loud, yea the waitstaff isn't perfect but it's a great place. There were a lot of kids, but you couldn't notice them with the loud music (I had my almost 2yo with us). The waitstaff was pretty good- I had to remind her once or twice of something, but the place was packed on a Saturday night so it was perfectly fine -she did better than I could. The food was pretty good! It's not a 5-star restaurant but neither is this place, so don't expect it. For pub food, they have a large menu (and kids menu) and everyone seemed to enjoy what they got. The portions seemed a bit small but once you ate them, it was a case of "my eyes were bigger than my stomach." The food came out hot and fresh and the beer was cold! I would totally frequent this place if I lived closer. I do wish the music was slightly lower but it is what it is. Overall a great experience. read more

TL:DR normal food for a beer house. Very hit and miss. Came here for lunch with my fiancé It was hard to hear and we ended up being seated next to a party of like 20 who were getting pretty rowdy and the ladies were scream laughing a bit but cant really hold that against the restaurant. The beer selection were great and reasonably priced. The apps were pretty mid. The poutine which my fiance was excited for was canned beef gravy (Think campbells beef stew gravy) so not ideal. Very dark and very salty which doesnt pair great with the salty fries and cheese. Also looks nothing like the picture on the menu be warned. It probably isnt the worst poutine we have ever had... but its bottom 3 for sure. The pretzel was decent but cold in the middle in parts. Assuming its frozen and they just reheat. Could use a bit more time reheating. The queso it comes with is pretty decent though. We both got burgers. I got the rocky burger and no complaints. Probably the best thing we had. She got the bullwinkle burger and it was so sour tasting it felt off. Hard to taste anything on the burger other than the gherkins. Felt like there were more pickles than meat or bun. She usually loves pickles too but too much i guess. Overall i think we just ordered two dishes we wouldnt ever order again. So hard to say. We dont get up into this area often so probably wouldnt come back but if it was local we might give it another chance. read more

Where do I begin? My beer tasted like either the bottom of the keg or gas line issues. (2nd beer was from a bottle.) Our food came out at all different times so some people were done eating while others were still waiting. All we got was , sorry, kitchen backed up. The pizza had no sauce in the middle of the pizza....was just around the edges and 2" in. You've got to see the pic of the celery I got!!! Went to the Thirsty Moose for the first time. We are not in the area, but needed to stop to eat en route back from to NH to Mass. There is a huge selection of food and beer. I can't remember the last time I saw so many taps! The french onion soup was very hearty. I liked the croutons instead of the usual bread. I had a cheese pizza which was really good! My husband had a peanut butter hamburger. He wanted to experiment. He said it was okay. I tried some of the fries and they were really tasty. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. It was a bit loud and distracting with all the noise from the TVs, but we could still hear each other at the table. Suggestion - please please put hooks on the bathroom doors. There is nothing more annoying than having to put your handbag on a dirty bathroom floor. And where would someone put a coat? Or leftovers. read more

The good - great beer menu. Great service. Good place to catch a game and hang out. Daughter had a Tzatziki chicken sandwich and she loved it. The bad - "steak tips" - not really steak tips. why is this place rated so low i come here all the time and they have such good food. they rarely mess up orders but even when they do they fix it quick. people get so mad when places are understaffed like the people working are trying their best so like relax. i love their tater tots and soft pretzel, especially the cheese dip for the pretzel. their burgers are delicious, so are any of their chicken products or entrees. they have an amazing build your own mac and cheese that is to die for. the prices are pretty decent and very affordable. there's never much of a wait unless it's like friday or saturday night but every place is busy those days. the inside is super nice too. i would def recommend this restaurant to anyone living in or visiting merrimack! His is the perfect spot for anyone to visit, because they are SURE to have anything oh are in the mood for. Aside from their extensive list of beers, the food here is also pretty good. This is the first place in the NE where I've had some decent nachos to go with my drinks. The nachos are a must if you come here. I have also tried the parmesan tater tots and the Greek pizza. Those are also very good. The service here is always great. I've been here twice now and both times, I have received great service, especially since I can't make up my mind on what drink to get. My wife and I had a Cobb salad and the "Hangover" burger. The salad was very fresh and the burger was Solid. We accompanied these with a few Hard Ciders and we left happy. The food is excellent here. Not the same stuff you get at other places. I've been to this location several times now. The staff this place keeps is exceptional. I've never been disappointed in the service or the food. I think the only thing that keeps this from being a 5 star place is how loud it is in there. You can tell they did a lot to buffer the sound with some really cool ceiling designs to absorb the sound but it's still loud with the high ceilings. The other minor thing is the bathrooms. There are only a few individual bathrooms. Don't let these minor things stop you from checking it out. It's a great break from the chains food. We absolutely love the giant pretzel app with the yummy dipping sauce! Their buffalo sauce for the meals isn't just Franks smeared on chicken. I don't know what it is but it has a great bite and tastes unique. read more

I ordered a chicken burger, and it was barely as thick as a nickel. The waitress was nice and brought us fresh fries, though. We paid $85 for lunch, which included 2 burgers, 2 beers, and 1 appetizer. My wife and I keep reminding ourselves not to go there anymore. It's convenient, but for half the price, we could have had a more satisfying meal elsewhere. It wasn't terrible, but they're definitely overcharging. read more
