The Olde Towne Tavern has finally opened in Milford, in the former Golden Koi/Cherry Blossom/Elisha's building on Nashua Street. The space was redone and updated with hardwood floors, graphic murals of Fenway Park, New England Sports/Patriots, and Milford, tables & booths in the dining room with 2 TVs and the full service lounge with seating at the bar and plenty of TVs above the bar and on the walls  I stopped by Olde Towne Tavern for lunch recently after their soft opening phase. I was promptly seated at a table in the dining room and given a paper menu. The menu offers standard pub fare of appetizers, wings, smash burgers, sandwiches, salads, French onion soup, chowdah, entrees (fish & chips, ribeye, chicken, pasta), and kids menu. They also have a dedicated late night menu of appetizers. The pricing is moderate to high here. For a starter, the Mozzarella Moons ($8.99 plus tax) was a small plate with 3 deep fried breaded mozzarella moon shapes with marinara sauce for dipping and arugula garnish. The mozzarella moons were very firm and crisp on the outside, filled with gooey melted mozzarella cheese. However, one of the pieces was undersized and it is unlikely I would order this again here since the 99 offers mozzarella moons for $6.99, happy hour. Next, the Single Smashburger ($11.99 plus tax) served with fries (I substituted garlic mashed potatoes since I've been eating lots of fried food). The single smashburger came out, which had a 4 oz grilled beef patty topped with melted cheese, tomato, lettuce, red onion, pickle chips on a soft bun. The burger was good. The side of garlic mashed potatoes were soft with chunks of potato in the dense mix. I finished all the food and was offered dessert which was several cheesecake choices. I just asked for the check which came out to $24.37 with tax and before tip. A substitution charge of $1.50 plus tax was added to the check, which sort of did not make sense since the sides of mashed potatoes and hand cut fries are the same menu price. Anyways, the service here was good and prompt and the food was good, but overpriced for what I received. I may try again as I see more feedback from other foodies in the area. read more

Went for a drink on Thursday night with my wife. Sat on the bar while my wife went to the bathroom. Ordered couple beers, but was faced with attitude from the girl bartender "will bring the second beer when the person is here" and then ignored us for good 10 minutes. She finally decided she will bring the beer and gave us the food menu. We knew what we are getting and put the menus down, she purposely ignored us for another 15 minutes before she came to take our order. When we were done, she asked if we wanted another round of drinks and we said no, we are good. For our surprise she came back with two beers "o, did I misunderstand you". Completely unacceptable service. With this attitude, she doesn't deserve to work there. No tip for the "attitude " lady bartender. We'll find another friendlier place. O, the "attitude" lady was serving drinks to a customer who was visibly intoxicated and needed assistance to stand up?! read more

When I arrived I was going for a quick app and drink and doing a huge take out order for my son's first birthday! I forgot my waitresses name but she was so kind and sweet! Young long haired brunette! I was so impressed with her communication skills and kindness! She was so helpful with the menu and attentive! I was there on a Sunday mid day and I was seated right away got fried pickle for an app and a lemon drop martini and let me tell you it was delicious! For take out I ordered mini pretzels with beer cheese, cheese curd poutine, chicken tender basket, two orders of steak tip plates with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans! Needless to say the entire meal was eaten! Everything was outstanding! We will be going back this week to eat inside! The atmosphere was so calm and cool inside. I always get a salad when I go in. They have the best salad dressing around. Someone said it's the original Elisha's Dressing. I highly recommend it. This young waitress Addie was the bests. It was a party of three and two of them had not been there in a while. She suggestively mentioned items. We have tried this place twice, will not be going back. The atmosphere is okay, more of a bar as that seems to be where everyone goes to. The service is eh. They have a lot of staff and lack of customer service. Our server was ok. Little slow. The food, well let's just say it's all frozen. My husband got the spaghetti and (2) meatballs. No flavor, the sauce tasted like tomato soup, definitely water downed. Would not get again. I had the caprese sandwich was ok. The best thing was the fries, nice and crispy and were yummy. I honestly think this place would do better as a bar and just have bar food. As nothing was fresh. Definitely will not be going back. First time here. I am in the food industry and have been all my life. We waited for hostess to get her head up to see us. We just wanted to go into bar. Well....perhaps you need a number to be served. Or, it seems you need to be a regular to get service I should say. We sat for 15 minutes without being greeted or at least told a server would be with us. We had to ask sleepy hostess twice if we would have a waitress or should we just leave. Same answer twice. Someone will be with you. Seems to me personal behind bar who was serving the "regular" guys could have at least greeted us. We wanted lunch and a couple Of beers but time and the entire experience just turned me off. We got an appetizer though and it was good but no plates, no napkins, nothing. Ambiance was comfortable and had a fun vibe in the bar area- lively, varied television stations, booth seats were comfy, but booth itself was drafty. Hostess was wonderful! She was friendly, accommodating and she should be training the waitress/servers to be so. Our waitress was adequate until we declined another drink and then she visually looked snippy. Having said this, if the server of the food would've asked if we needed anything upon serving our meal, then a drink would've been well-timed. The server rested the plates in front of us, didn't say a word, left. The waitress didn't come by until we had finished more than half our meal. I ordered the wedge salad- great Elisha dressing and fresh, however, there was probably a tablespoon of the fixings spread out on both sides of the wedge- very tiny, skimpy vegetable pieces, bacon that was not crispy. It was packed however all the waiters and waitresses were around the host area talking about how the kitchen was overwhelmed and people were seating themselves TOTAL unorganization. We left. Time #2 went there with hardly anyone there. AGAIN waiters and waitresses hanging around the hostess area, not doing anything, We were seated as we watched waiters and waitresses hanging around in the back area now we sat for 15 minutes with no acknowledgement, as the wait staff were RIGHT THERE watching us....we left. I took my very picky 81 yr old mom for dinner. She complains about everything! Well the only thing she had to complain about was the price of the meals. lol mind you her version of going out to eat is a fast food place due to the fact it's difficult for her to go out with oxygen. We were greeted promptly by the hostess and seated quickly in the dining area. Our lovely and kind waitress quickly asked if we wanted drinks and I was thinking I should have an alcoholic beverage for bring my picky mom out but had a soda instead. We had the smash burgers which were very good. Again I was waiting for the picky princess to complain, but she loved her food. I had such a great experience I brought my daughter a few days later sat in the bar area and had another wonderful meal in a very up beat atmosphere. My family and I were absolutely blown away with this place. They accommodated our group of 12 for a retirement celebration for our father. The hostesses hooked us up with a wonderful spot in the back that was tucked away. With a large group and how packed it was, the food was so fast and delicious. Our waiter Stefan was top notch. Completely impressed with how attentive he was. The owner stopped by and asked us about our experience which meant so much to all of us. By far the best experience we could have hoped for. Visited the brand new Olde Towne Tavern on Thursday 8/22 and I cannot say enough good things about this place! I ordered the smash burger and a raspberry lemon cello martini. First of all, our waitress, Casey I believe is her name was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure our first time was enjoyable. Our first visit and we were very pleased with service, food portions, and reasonable prices. The hostess, Averi, came out to help my elderly mother up the inclined entrance and seated us promptly. Our server, Sophie, (always smiling) was very attentive and easy to engage with. Our orders were perfectly prepared and ample portions. The veggie pasta was delicious with all fresh vegetables. My mother enjoyed her first smash burger! Sophie always checked in to see how we liked our meals. Dessert was fabulous - chocolate lava cake!!! My boyfriend and I have seen the packed parking lot for a while now and so we figured we'd have date night here. Saturday night the parking lot was full, and we were still sat right away which was nice. It took a good 15 minutes before our server even acknowledged us. We were given paper menus when other tables were given nice laminated menus. It took a while for my martini to come back, and then another 15 minutes before our waitress came back over to get our meal order. Our meal took a while to come out- I understand why because it was busy and I had a gluten free order. Food came out great- I got the bourbon bacon jam burger which was sweeter than I expected. Fries came out amazing. Boyfriend ordered chicken wings with Cajun seasoning and he said they were good. Overall the food was pretty good, but the service and the ambiance wasn't really worth the price. Our check came and we were able to scan a QR code to pay through an app and it asked for review of the food which was cool.
