This was our first visit to Thirsty Turtle. This is a great place to watch sports. They have a patio area and an inside area with tons of TVs. We sat in the patio area and the windows were wide open. The beer is ice cold which we loved!!! We ordered wings and liked them a lot as they were crispy and covered with a tasty hot sauce. We ordered mahi dolphin entree and the fish was fresh and tasty. The entree was a good portion too. We also ordered the scallop cobb salad and this was very good. The salad had fresh leaf/vegetables and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The peanut butter ice cream pie and peanuts butter pie were amazing. The pies are made there too!!! Our waitress, Danielle, provided excellent service as she was on top of it and friendly. We will be going back for sure and hope to get as good of service and food as our first visit. Will update after next visit. read more

Was never so disappointed with the food ordered than on March 26th. Tried placing a food order by phone and the person taking the order couldn't hear because their spot is right in front of the entertainment speakers. Went in to place the order and was told 30 minutes. Was over 50 minutes before the order arrived and you can see it wasn't very appetizing. Didn't get a picture of the other two entrees due to the time and just dropped it off to them as they were fishing. Called and asked to speak with the general manager and he offered another meal or refund of my order ($45). Requested the money be refunded as they had already left a bad taste in my mouth. Called him 10 plus days ago and he said it would be forthcoming. Still no response. Do not recommend especially if you are in a rush and looking for a decent meal. read more

Very friendly service with prompt delivery of most of our food but lacked coming by and asking for refills. I ordered the wings as recommended. They were small but cooked properly. The wing sauce was not what I expected. The sauce was sweet n spicy kinda like a Thai sauce. I wish the menu stated that. My mistake was that I expected a buffalo style sauce. Better menu description with have been nice. I would not order wings again. My fries were forgotten by the waitress but were good once they arrived. The shrimp tacos were good but lacked consistency. One serving was over sauced and one was lacking sauce. Our clam chowder had a long hair in it. We will go back and give them another shot. read more

My wife and I visited for the first time tonight. Seever was very nice however we waited over 40 minutes for two orders of fish and chips and when we finally received our order the chips were cold and soggy and the rice was cold as well. The fish was also barely warm enough to be worth eating. Would have sent it back had we had enough time to wait for a replacement without being late for the show at the Sunrise. Server was very apologetic about the delay which was appreciated. Next time in downtown Ft. Pierce will get there earlier to try other places instead. read more

So decided to try this location in Fort Pierce due to it's nice location and other shopping near by. It was during their HAPPY HOUR and we were Quickly seated out near the outdoor seating with bar. Server was nice and kind. Ordered the famous wings and blackened chicken wrap along with Conch Fritters for an appetizer. Fritters were ok however not being a conch fan there were some pieces that seemed undercooked as they for some reason tasted rubbery. Could just be me. The Wrap was really delicious as it will filled with all of the fix-ins. The chicken wings (hot wings) were nothing to be desired. Since we frequent the location in Port St Lucie we were used to the preparation and knew what to expect. On their menu I believe they state that this could take a while or up to 20 minutes as they cooked their wings extra well and made to order. This wasn't the case. Before I was able to take another sip of my Mango White Claw.... which is good by the way the food was coming fast to the table. They didn't have that CRUNCH to them and it appears that they were either sitting out waiting to be tossed in the famous hot sauce which wasn't hot but I trekked on. Also noticed that wings were not fresh out of the grease as some would like to say because there was no steam coming from them. I did bring this to the attention of one of the managers and they were nice about it and wished they had let them know earlier but didn't realized they were part of the management team(-:. Didn't want to make a big deal out of it. I just think it's better to let them know so at least they know moving forward. Service was great, but the food was the problem. Ordered the scallops cooked in wine and garlic sauce. When I took a bite of the scallop there was an ammonia taste and smell. I gave one to my daughter without telling her anything about it and she said it had a funny taste. I looked in Google for scallops with ammonia taste and it said spoiled scallops would smell that way. The manager apologized and said they discarded the batch of scallops. I spiced up the salad with the horseradish based dip/dressing that came with our fried mushrooms. Mushrooms were good but no wow either. We stopped in here in the early afternoon. It is a very nice space. We ordered the French onion soup which was very good and at happy hour ordered ten medium wings. We should have sent them back immediately when they were delivered to our table only five minutes after we ordered them. No good wings are made in five minutes especially when the menu says fresh cooked - may take up to 30 minutes. They were obviously previously cooked and off loaded on us. They were not hot and were drenched in sauce. No crispness at all since they were swimming to survive in the sauce. On top of it all they were on the small size. If I were the cook/chef I would have been embarrassed to serve them. I am sorry we did not send them back after sampling the first wing. read more

Went on our first date May 26th 2020 and although we did have other restaurants to pick from we decided why not this place. Walked in greeted and got sat. As we were the first ones there. A new girl was hired and in training and we had fun messing with the girls. Ordered our food and it was delish. We couldn't have picked a better place to dine. It worked out perfectly. We've been regulars at Thirsty Turtle for about 3 years and up until 6-7 months ago, the food was pretty good and the beer was cold. Garlic wings are great. Don't know if they've had too many staff changes or under different management, but their location on PSL Blvd is close to my residence, and it's convenient, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt after the first, second, third time of cold food, overcooked food, slow service with an attitude, server's that made no attempt whatsoever to hide the fact that at least 2 of them were under the influence of something, bringing no "enhancement" of it to my table. Just misdirected rudeness when I asked for lemon and tartar sauce, twice, and she forgot twice. It looked like she was headed towards the kitchen, and several minutes later while blowing by our table, my husband was able to get her attention and asked about the lemon and sauce (3rd time) and she said she had brought it to our table already. Really? Not much here on the table for it to be "hiding" and the delivery of her false comment was received exactly the way she had intended it to be heard. My husband is beyond kind and patient. It's a gift for both of us, especially me, but because the entire time we'd been there, going on 45 minutes now, the fish was overcooked and cold, both entree's, and we were starving. . . . we had both ordered the same thing. So, he decided enough was enough and calmly asked her for the check. She abruptly turned around without saying a word, and there we sat, looking at each other and at our cold, hard dinner. Did I mention we were starving, yet there was no way I was going to eat this mess. Check came, nothing was said,nothing was discounted, there wasn't a manager to stop by the table to extend an excuse or apology, or God forbid, next time you come in, your meal is on the house. Money had ZERO to do with this. All we wanted was a fish sandwich and iced tea. Check was paid, minus tip, and we walked out with 2 plates left sitting there, looking pitiful. As convenient as it was, that would be our last visit. And I'll be taking about a dozen patrons with me, all regulars. They too had similar problems in the past few months, and I'm unable to attach Covid to this as an excuse. It's not the Covid, folks. Clearly, it's the staff/ management. And if management is unable to recognize a very serious problem unfolded right under their noses, perhaps the "powers that be" intercede and clean house, before it cleans them. There's far too much competition out there that delivers excellent food, service and ambiance at fair prices, and when you see your numbers taking a quick descent with very few spikes, read this again and fix your problem(s). read more

First time visit and the Cobb and Shrimp Salads were very good. But, we had two Cosmo Martini that were missing most of the Vodka? My wife likes weak drinks but here should be some Vodka in them. We talked to the manager and he didn't seem to care about customer service. Also, there was an upcharge on the ice on a Martini? We ordered the calamari for the appetizer and it wasn't crunchy and still undercooked. When we told them employees about it they told us that they don't season their food so that the customers can do it themselves. This is absurd. We had a delicious dinner. We ordered a few chicken wings for happy hour and they were perfectly cooked and very tasty. My daughter loves the chicken Caesar wrap. My husband had the quesadilla and it was perfectly spicy and the chicken was very good. I had the blackened chicken sandwich with broccoli. The sandwich was so good. Waited for an eternity to be seated workers behind bar just standing around looking at me and no one would clean tables seat us etc......sports bar type place and lots of us here in between baseball games a few miles away. Hungry sweaty boys and their parents just wanting a cold beer and wings etc.....servers switched shifted after ordering 1/2 of our food appetizer never arrived by the time food came we needed to go boxes because we had no more time. 1 1/2 hrs was an entire stressful time instead of us eating and relaxing we were constantly trying to get a server to stop by our table ...do yourself a favor go to the PSL location they have it down!!!!! What happened to the food? The Turtle has been my favorite for over a decade, in Port St Lucie and then here in Fort Pierce after they opened the new location. The beer battered fried oysters has been my go to meal, best oysters on the Treasure coast. Fresh oysters battered and fried to perfection. 12/22/22, not so much. Fries were good as was the coleslaw. What was supposed to be oysters were unrecognizable to the point that my wife asked what it was. In the metal dish that they were in there were five 1/2 inch pieces that appeared to be 1 oyster cut up in to tiny pieces. (not enough to cover 50% of the very bottom of the dish) They had been fried without any batter to a dark brown color, hard and brittle and crumbled if you tried to use a fork. The beer battered fish and chips my wife's usual meal was no better. Instead of the fresh fish fillet fried golden brown in beer batter it was two tiny triangular "fish portions" like the ones in the giant economy package at the grocery. No resemblance to the description on the menu was seen in either meal. New cook? New recipe? I doubt I will take a chance on getting another like this again. read more

Coming from over a decade of industry/bar service, I have experienced probably the best service and food I have ever had. The food was incredible and we sat at the bar. While we were at the bar, we witnessed the two managers running food, encouraging the staff and running this entire place. Some of the best service and communication we are have experienced. Oh my goodness, please go out and support this restaurant!!!! Very friendly staff! The food was Awesome!! So many MENU options to choose from. I got the fish dip as an appetizer, YUM!! Ordered the linguini noodles with scallops, shrimp and white fish as my entree I got it with the alfredo sauce. DELICIOUS!! A very light alfredo sauce, not heavy which made it better to me.
