Made a lot of right decisions yesterday! After a lot of thinking between Thai vs Indian food for dinner, I convinced myself to go with Thiru Kuppusamy Unavagam (South Indian) Found the table in no time even though the restaurant looked busy on a Wednesday night. I took that as a good sign. I ordered 'Madurai mutton Kal dosai' and Kalakki for dinner. I also got Rasam rice and Madurai mutton varuval to go. It took about 10 minutes to get kal dosai and kalakki. Kal dosai served with mutton gravy and coconut chutney. Coconut chutney was mid but Kal dosai tasted better with mutton gravy :) About the Rasam rice and Mutton varuval I ordered to go, Is there a better combination than this? I mean seriously!!! Rasam rice tasted really good and the gravy in mutton varuval complimented it well. Meat cooked really well not too oily either. 5/5 TBH! Service was great and they also asked my feedback on where they can improve their customer experience. I thought that was cool.

Have been wanting to try this South Indian specialty restaurant and stopped for a quick lunch. The menu has several unique options but decided to try the fish combo meal on this visit. The portion size was generous, and the flavors were spot on. Service was fast, efficient, and attentive. The staff checked in to make sure everything was satisfactory. Bottled water is thoughtfully provided. The location is convenient, right off MacArthur, with plenty of parking available. The space is roomy, and I was especially drawn to the captivating mural that tells the story of the restaurant. Pricing : Moderate Will I return? : For sure! I'm looking forward to trying their biryanis and other signature dishes next time.

Couldn't help myself so I went back! The food was so good! I tried potato dosa and chicken 69 this time around along with parotha with mutton curry. 10/10!!! The dosa was fantastic! All the chutneys were incredible as well! The place was filled with people during the week day yet again because the food is so good! There were people waiting outside because all the seats were taken. This is the best Indian restaurant by far! The only downside is that its a bit dirty but it doesn't impact thw quality of the food!

I don't offer 5 star reviews often. But Thiru Kuppusamy's is worthy of it! Fast service, we were seated within 3 minutes once a table was cleared. The servers would do rounds every couple of minutes offering refills on curries, rice, and everything else. Place was packed on a Saturday. The place will have wait times of around 30 minutes if you come at a peak time. We came at just before 1 and were seated pretty quickly. The food was delicious. All curries were tasty, spiced well, and heavy in protein. Rice was soft and fluffy. Yogurt was really thick and tangy in the best way. Favorite dishes were the goat and the fried fish. Excellent to eat with Yogurt Rice. The payasam is rumored to be good as well. It was the parupu kind. But I had no room in my stomach after eating the rice, curries, and roti's. Will be back when I'm in the Dallas area!

This place is exceptionally good. On my first visit, I ordered chicken biryani with a side of gravy, and I'd truly never tried anything quite like it. It was a rich, tangy, spicy, and slightly nutty curry with yogurt and rice that melted like butter. Their Masala Chai was as good as expected, and the service was super attentive. Five stars for this gem in Irving, TX.

I've been here several times, and it is hands down the best Indian food I've had. The first and latest times we had the all you can eat lunch that is NOT a buffet. Instead, they serve everything on a leaf and come top off whatever dish you want as requested. And it's the dishes that shine: spicy, flavorful, unique. My head was swimming every time I went. Outside of the weekends, they serve à la carte Indian food. We had that once and it was good. But the AYCE is incredible. I also appreciated the prompt and attentive service. And the free bottled water on eat table is a nice accommodation. To be honest, I could not tell you the name of the restaurant without looking at it. There's no name outside and the names of the dishes are also unfamiliar. But the experience is memorable and I highly recommend you try it.

We stumbled across this restaurant and the food was amazing! We had no idea that there is something such as unlimited thalis. Both the veg and non veg thalis were really good. Service was really nice as well! Highly recommended! Definitely go when youre very hungry though, we were STUFFED

We loved this place. This is one of the best South Indian restaurants in Irving. They were accommodating enough to make us some substitutions in our food. The service is excellent and the food tasted the best. We came here on a weekend for lunch; there was a little wait time, and it was also a little loud. The price is also very affordable. Would recommend this place for authentic South Indian food.

Very authentic very flavorful food. There are very few Indian restaurants in DFW that dont disappoint and it is one of them. Their Biryani's, Parotha, Dosa every think is top of the game!

Good casual South Indian restaurant with a good ambiance. Really enjoyed the mint-lime soda. They serve unlimited non-veg food from metal buckets, something I've never seen in Indian restaurants in America. It feels like you are eating out in India, A really unique experience! The food was also pretty good. A great place to come and get the authentic South Indian dining experience!

The MUTTON (AATU KAAL) SOUP is always the very first delicacy on every culinary expedition...love it!

I haven't had vada pav sliders before but the filling is kind of like fried samosa filling without the dough. It's good. The serving size of the biryani was very impressive. You can see from the photo that they fill the container and then add another mound of rice on top of that - basically 2 servings (we took one home). And they didn't skimp on the chicken either! The chicken is cooked perfectly, the sauces are a great complement and this is an excellent dish. The Lunch Thali gives you a lot of bang for your buck and mine included ~5 pieces of fish fry, about the same amount of veg pakora, yogurt dip, chicken curry with rice, 2 different soups, a naan/tortilla thing, and a carrot dessert (like a halwa). All had good flavor and the soups have a nice spicy kick to them. However, since all the dishes for the thali come off the lunch line (ie all premade), the tortilla, fish and pakoras had been sitting out for awhile and not too hot. Had they come out fresh from the fryer, I might have given this experience 5 stars. As it stands, I'll probably be back for lunch anyways - and the thali is available 7 days a week!

Our server was attentive and explained the menu was more "Modern Indian" food versus "Traditional Indian" food. We followed our server's lead and ordered the Bharwan Paneer Tikka along with traditional Somosas for appetizers. The Samosas were tasty but were a bit on the tiny side. The Bharwan Paneer Tikka was the standout dish of the evening. For our main dishes, we ordered the Dal Tadka, Bhindi Do Pyaza, and New Delhi Butter Chicken. We ordered some additional Garlic Naan and White Rice to accompany the main dishes. All the dishes were pretty standard without being too spicy. You might be a little disappointed if you like your Indian Food on the spicier level. We finished off with Rasmali and Kulfi Falooda. The Rasmali was the highlight of dessert. The flavors of pistachio and the accompanying sauce was a great combination. Overall, Sanjh is a fancy Indian Restaurant. I would return for a special event given the upscale atmosphere. You also have to open to interpretations of traditional Indian Cuisine.
