What a hidden gem! I love musubi and to see someone local making it, is awesome. You place an order online and get a text when it is ready. This is just down the street and is a great mid day treat. Will be ordering again!

The food was excellent. I would highly recommend the Bachans Chicken, Tropical Heat, and Vegan. Very reasonably priced. Very easy to order. I will be coming back!

I went here 3 times in 1 week! Amazing authentic Hawaiian musubis that he makes fresh, and really the only place in Encinitas/Carlsbad you can get any. I love the variations of musibis he makes anThe owner is super chill and I just think his business is unique and creative.

Good grub Superb little takeout spot tucked away in quiet Encinitas, This Musubi Love is making some noise with some seriously good omusubi! I picked up an order of the Katsu Spam and Bachan's Chicken. The Katsu Spam was excellently fried, perfectly crispy, and the saltiness was balanced by a sticky, sweet soy sauce on a bed of sushi rice. The Bachan's chicken came with crunchy pieces of fried chicken glazed with a sweet sauce and spicy mayo on a bed of sushi rice. Really great spot, finding the entrance was a bit tricky (maybe getting a bigger sign could help), but one phone call and they helped me find them no problem.

Cannot rave enough about this place. Amazing musubi, great owners, such an easy, hassle free ordering system. Great happy hour on Thursdays (BOGO 50% off 3-6PM)! Minutes away from beacons, bring your musubi to the beach and catch a gorgeous Leucadia sunset!

Can't get enough of these! Katsu spam is my favorite but you can't go wrong with spam and cheese. Definitely try out the bachan's chicken and shrimp if you have a friend to share with. It's super easy to order online but up you have to order before the lunch or dinner window opens to pick up at the right time. Support local!

I had been wanting to try this place since I heard about it, and I was not disappointed. They had a bunch of different types of musubi to choose from. I ordered a tempura shrimp, katsu style spam, and regular spam with avocado. All were super delicious and it took less than ten minutes from the time I ordered online, to someone bringing my food out to my car. Musubi is the ultimate comfort food. I'll definitely order from here anytime I'm in Leucadia.

This is a speakeasy gem! It's the perfect pitstop on your way to the beach or just a quick lunch. I've been there four times now and it never disappoints. My personal favorite item is the Bachan's Chicken. I highly recommend!

The Kalua moco is really good, but the loco moco is my go to. It's a small restaurant with very limited seating. The cashier was very nice and offered their weekly special. Service was great and my order came out promptly. They are closed on Mondays and Sundays and open till 7pm. Parking can be a bit hectic since the sports bar is right in front of it and plaza is very busy. I ordered the garlic chicken combo plate and that did not disappoint. Perfectly crispy and moist chicken in a sweet and tangy garlic sauce that is not overpowered by the garlic. The combo plate comes with 2 sides, I chose the furikaki rice and macaroni salad, the macaroni salad needed a bit more flavor, but it complemented well with the garlic sauce. Will be back to other dishes and the cucumber salad. They also have some desserts with appeared to be homemade.

Scanned the QR code on the big banner from the outside and checked out their menu. Saw lumpia and thought it was a Filipino spot). Saw they had a happy hour menu and decided to check it out before our movie. The vibe we really cute and played reggae music. It was a relaxing, chill atmosphere with lots of tvs. The server, Jaz was really nice, friendly and very hospitable. She spoke of their Guamanian food, heritage and community. They've been in the current spot for the last 7 or 8 months, so fairly new, but were down the street for many years before that. We ordered 2 different kinds of BBQ chicken wings. Two orders of the sweet chili glazed (Pine Doni) and one of the other which was like a honey bbq glazed style. All were supposed to have 6 wings, but the honey BBQ one had 5 (?). The sweet chili was our fave of the two. Their chicken empanadas were huge, and served 3 per dish, were delicious and crispy, with an aioli like sauce with a wonderful kick. The spam roll was a masubi-like and was good (husband said it was the best he's ever had). The side of mac salad had great flavor! Jaz brought us some red rice to try on the house and it was really good! It reminded me of Vietnamese chicken rice, with chicken broth infused into the rice, making it really tasty and savory. First time having Guamanian food and we're stoked we tried it! All in all, great food and awesome service! If you've never tried it before...put it on your list! You won't regret it!

We started off with the chicken kelaguen which had the perfect amount of flavor and tanginess with the red rice staple. I do wish I got more rice in the chicken to rice ratio, but it was good regardless. Shortly after we got our empanadas (the whole reason I wanted to go here). I had been craving them for weeks and it didn't disappoint. The filling was the delicious and the crust was perfectly crunchy. We then shared the Guam bomb which was a pretty decently sized plate. I appreciated how crunchy the fries were, especially since the amount of sauce on top could have easily made them soggy very quickly. I do wish there was a little more meat but it tasted yummy nonetheless. Our absolute favorite part of the meal was desert. The banana donuts! It came with 4 which was perfectly paired with strawberry ice cream. Overall, super duper happy with another visit to this amazing spot! Hopefully we'll catch them at PIFA San Diego this year

My favorite stop on my recent trip to the San Diego area…read more Encinitas Fish Shop was recommended by one of my local SD work colleagues. I grabbed an Uber after work on a Thursday and headed north 11 miles. As I arrived at the Fish Shop, I could smell the goodness inside and saw the line waiting to order. The restaurant is on one side, with an open bar on the other. Ordering is as simple as 1, 2, 3. Pick your fish, pick how you want to consume it (plate, sandwich, salad), and pick your sides and drink. I went with my work colleagues recommendation of a blackened sea bass sandwich with onion rings and a Marg. That choice was FANTASTIC!!! You seat yourself once you order and place the buzzer given to you by the counter person on the unit on your table. Although busy, there were still tables available (bar and restaurant, plus out front). As the NBA playoffs were on, I sat inside. Everyone working here was friendly and as I already stated... my meal was the best I had on this San Diego visit. A bonus was a gorgeous sunset just 3 blocks down from the shop. I will be back to Encinitas Fish Shop when I next visit San Diego.
