I always see coupons for this salon in the weekly papers or on Groupon. They are always good deals. I've driven past several times and it looks very nice from the outside. I just can't get over the name, it's so silly! I don't get it. However, I have heard so many good things and so I finally took the plunge. I got a mani/pedi from Becky and she did a wonderful job. I just hate going somewhere and paying for a service that you aren't 100% happy with in the end, it's so disappointing. But I was very satisfied with Becky's work and I not only made a follow-up appointment right on the spot, but I will definitely recommend her to friends. She took her time and did a great job. I didn't feel rushed, she made me feel like I was sitting and chatting with an old friend. She has 20 years of experience and it shows. I had such a good experience with my mani/pedi that I decided to get a massage while I was there and they fit me right in. The gal who did it gave me cards with her name on them, but I've already handed them out to several friends and now I can't remember her name! She was also excellent and after the massage she took the time to explain a few different stretches that would benefit my personal aches and pains in the future. The massage room was nicely decorated and clean. The whole experience was great and I'm looking forward to going back. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone and everyone. A couple of things to know if you're thinking about trying this place out. First of all, there are hidden fees to your mani and/or pedi. They will make you buy a kit for 5 dollars (for about .75 cents worth of stuff) that includes a disposable file and buffer. A small minority of salons out there also do this, so it's not unheard of but be aware and bring your own or be ok with the extra 5. They will also charge you an extra 5 dollars to soak off your old shellac. They will not tell you this until it's time to pay. So there is an extra 10 bucks to add to whatever cheap price you think you will be getting. They run constant Groupon deals, but will roll their eyes and generally act really put out if they know you will be using one. They will tell you not to buy any more of those and hand you a coupon that is not in fact as good a deal as the Groupon. They give bare bones service. No massage or lotion with either the mani or pedi. Dry cuticle removal. No scrub with the pedi. It's about as basic as you can get, thus not really the bargain you think you will be getting. The salon itself is brightly lit with lots of windows in a strip mall. Not particularly relaxing. The other workers in the salon talk loudly and sometimes inappropriately. They are not in the least concerned with you feeling relaxed. Not only do they charge for the bowl of acetone they ask you to soak your fingers in, today I was also handed a tool and asked to start removing my old shellac myself while I was getting a pedi. Wow. I've had lots and lots of nail service and this was a first. I walked out with a decent looking mani/pedi but felt ripped off by the hidden fees and definitely not pampered. Don't be fooled by the seemingly good Groupon deal if you're looking for more then what I've described. I won't be going back. read more

Like many others on here a girlfriend and I found this place through Groupon while looking for a place we could go together to get mani-pedis on our girl's afternoon. They directed us not to purchase the Groupon but that they would still give us the price. When we arrived we were directed to choose our colors and then were brought to the pedi station. The water was lukewarm - as if it has been sitting there for a while and when we asked for additional warm water one of the girls turn our taps on for about 5 seconds and then turned them back off - not much help. We were chatting and enjoying ourselves for the most part but I could tell that the girl doing my toes was doing a terrible job right from the start. They didn't have any flip flops at all (not even for purchase) so they had to paint around my sandals. That's partially my fault for not bringing any but we also were under the impression that our pedicures AND our manicures were going to be Shellac - instead it was just our manicures. The girl doing my toes also thought it a good idea to challenge my friend on her desire to not have a leg massage. She's about 6 months pregnant and that kind of stimulation can lead to things like blood clots releasing and early labor so she simply asked to keep the massage on her feet only. There was no reason to disagree with her reasoning - the reason was irrelevant. Once we were finished with our pedicures we were taken to manicure stations that were across the room from each other and that was the end of our chatting. I find it extremely annoying when you call specifically to ask for side by side mani-pedis, they book you knowing that, and then they split you up anyway. The manicure I received was not great - the girl spent more time trying to get someone to warm up her lunch for her than paying attention to what she was doing and as a result I ended up with a bumpy shellac manicure that lasted about 6 hrs. I have 6 chipped fingers from doing nothing more strenuous than typing 1.5 days after my manicure. I would ask for a refund on this or at least another manicure but I don't even live in Salem. Drove out there just to spend the day with my friend. We ended up standing outside the place talking for another hour since we weren't able to talk anymore after our pedis. Inexpensive in a "you get what you pay for" sort of way... Never again! read more

I found this place through a friend who told me about a Groupon for a shellac mani and a spa pedicure, all for $35. (scooooooore!) I called to schedule an appointment and was offered times that day and the next. The woman on the phone seemed stressed out, so I was little worried about how professional the place and employees would be, which is very important to me. Anyhoo, I found parking right in front of the salon and went inside. I was greeted nicely and led to an array of nail polishes to pick out some colors. I was feeling indecisive, and my nail technician Cassia helped me pick out a bright color for my fingers (instead of the black, dark brown, or black plum I usually go with, to reflect my existential angst). We started with the pedicure, which was in the back of the salon behind a partition so didn't feel "on-display" like I do at small, one-room salons. I got to sink into a cushiony chair and put my feet in warm soapy water and just bliss out. It was much needed after a particularly hard week (/month/year...) and I was so relieved I had an hour to myself to just relax. We ended up talking about our lives a little bit, because Cassia was so sweet and I felt chatty. I didn't feel awkward or pressured to talk or to be silent. She was able to create that great illusion that we are just two friends having a chat, even though she is literally scrubbing my feet while I'm sitting three feet above her on a throne of cushions. I forgot about that Oregon rule where you have to bring your own kit (nail file, pumice, etc), so I bought a new one - as I always do - but these kits come in cute little colored plastic containers, so I can just leave mine in my car and never forget again! Then Cassia gave me a shellac mani and I loved the bright color we had picked out (cajun shrimp, I believe it was called). I think I tipped 20% or more, I was feeling so great about the experience. Doesn't even deserve one star!!!! Made appointments for 2 mani pedis and they decided to bump one for their own convenience. The one girl who did do the only appointment they would allow (crystal I think) did less than quality work and after 4 days the shellac chipped off. I usually do my own hair and nails, but decided to treat myself to a professional hair dye job and mani/pedi for my wedding. I found this salon through Groupon. Samm was my stylist that day. I told her that I had dyed my own hair blonde and wanted to be platinum blonde for my wedding. She bleached my hair and while we were waiting she did my shellac French manicure. About this time another stylist came in on her time off (Brittany I think) and was chatting with Samm during almost all of my service. After my manicure, I was shocked that when we came back to the mirror (friend included) after washing it out, my hair was a bright yellow/orange! I was shocked and worried. Samm told me she could not bleach it anymore to try to get to platinum or my hair would fall out. She told me to go to Sally Beauty Supply and buy my own purple shampoo to tone down the yellow/orange. Then Samm gave me a pedicure, which was not very relaxing given the friend followed Samm to this station as well and they played with their phones and snap chatted with some guy the whole time. They also bad-mouthed their coworkers and clients as well to me. I felt pretty embarrassed of my hair and didn't know what to do as my wedding was in two days. When I went to get my hair styled before my wedding, the stylist took the time to tone my hair for me and made it a beautiful platinum blonde. She said Samm should never have sent me home without toning and fixing my hair. And that I needed two different types of toner to fix it and how could I have known what to get on my own at Sally's. I think Samm was going to go to lunch with this other stylist after my appt and didn't want to take the time to fix my hair. I don't know why this other girl came an hour early for their lunch date, as it bothered me to have an audience and they were pretty immature and annoying. Afterward, Samm quoted me a price if $60 not knowing I had a Groupon, and I realized later that I had paid $80 for the Groupon so it didn't make sense. The service price was actually cheaper than the Groupon?? I don't get it. My shellac manicure only lasted about 7 days and I peeled it off pretty easily. As this was my first shellac, I thought that was normal, but my sister tells me hers normally lasts 3 weeks and it is so stuck on that she has to get it professionally removed. Huh. Not a good shellac then. I have not called the salon and complained as I do not plan on going back there and want to forget the whole embarrassing experience. read more

I enjoy this place more than any other nail place I've been so far in Salem/Keizer areas. I always ask for the owner, because I know she is great at what she does. She hires independent contractors, so people who were there 2 years ago is most likely not there now...You don't get a massage with a mani/pedi but they do have lotion on the desk you pay at. She does a good job cutting your cuticles, and making your nails look nice. They offer refreshments, coffee, water, etc which is a nice treat. And I always enjoy our talks. So this place is always full because of their deals on Groupon ($15 for Shellac). Well, it seems the space is too small for the volume of their clientele. I find it super chaotic when I step in the door. There is no seating available and women are pushing and shoving around their nail colors to chose from. My friend booked me an appointment with her for nails ahead of time and they didn't ask her if I wanted acrylic (which I did), I ended up getting shellac since that is all the girl (Krystal) knew how and she didn't offer me any other alternatives. She started with my pedicure first, and cut me with the file that she forgot to file down first. I thought I was overreacting until there was blood. She seemed very grumpy and did not make much small talk. There were no disposable flip flops so I had to purchase theirs. She was fast and I thought the nails (the mani & pedi) looked good. I booked a second appointment simply because I had a groupon for $15 and wanted my nails looking decent. This time was awful. When I walked in the door the place was packed again (it was also the day before Mother's Day). There was a lady sitting on the left alone who appeared to be in the middle of a manicure and she was trying to get the attention of a staff saying, "umm, can I please get a bandaid? There's blood on my finger..." AHHH I didn't want to waste my Groupon though, so I stayed. :-( Another lady asked me if I had an appointment and once I told her, "yes, a shellac mani with Krystal," the lady didn't say anything and walked away. A minute later another woman asked me if I had an appointment and I repeated myself and she kindly escorted me to the nail polishes which had 3 women already looking at them, so I was looking over their shoulders.... Fortunately, I already knew I wanted beige, but it was uncomfortable being in everyone's way. I stood and waited awkwardly, directly behind and beside two clients getting their nails done (I'd rather have waited outside). Then Krystal took me to a back room that looked like a closet. There was another nail tech in there working on a woman's nails. The table I sat at with Krystal was so tiny and flimsy out knees were touching (... NO, me no likey :-/). Like last time, she was in an awful mood. A little worse actually. She kept dropping things and afterward saying, "really!?." She talked crap to me about her previous clients that day and was saying how she planned on sneaking off to the back room after finishing my nails... She said this to other girls. I felt like such an inconvenience. She was doing my nails so fast and it was so awkward like she was shooting for a world record! After she was done she took a file and scratched my left middle finger nail's paint and left pinky nail's paint... I looked at it later and there are visible scratched in the paint... What the heck!? I then showed her my Groupon and she said, "next time, don't do the Groupon, just let us know because they take half." I went today with a groupon for massage and facial. I was very disappointed with the massage room. It had a huge window with let in so much light . The music that was being played was Jack Johnson which is not very relaxing, and on top of that, the cd was skipping ever few seconds!!! The LMT, Bryce, didn't seem to mind. He was also not very heavy handed. I felt like I was being petted the entire time. It was not a massage I received, more like a light grope over my body. He barely massaged one hand, didn't massage the other. And did a lot of "massaging" over the sheet. Didn't touch my feet, barely any leg. Within the first 5 mins of the assuage beginning, I was hoping that it would hurry up and be over, which was really sad because it was suppose to be a special day for me. I would NOT recommend Bryce at all. Next I had a facial done by Krystal. She was young and seemed a tad unprofessional, playing with her iPhone which was streaming pandora. But she gave a nice facial, and the conversation was friendly. It was more relaxing than the massage. Overall, I think I would like to go back and try out their other LMT, which Krystal recommended, and even have another facial done by her. I love supporting local salons, but seriously they need to figure something out with this Bryce character. read more

I also found this place through Groupon. I called them and had no problem getting in the same day. My nail tech was friendly. She asked me what color I wanted to use and I asked to do a french manicure as I was going to be in a wedding and didn't want anything obnoxious. She was VERY hesitant but said she would do it on my toes. The spa pedicure began when she took me over to the back on the salon. There is a cushion and a sink that you soak your feet in. No problems so far in the pedi. She used a good smelling scrub and also an oil that made my legs really soft. Then she starts telling me about how it would look much better if I didn't do French tips on my toes and that I should do pink. I wanted French but decided to go with a light pink because I would rather have that than a mess. As far as a pedi, there was minimal filing or pushing back of the cuticles- you know, just the normal things you expect when you pay someone to touch your feet. Anyhow, she painted my toes and really I could have done a much better job. I don't know if it was the fact that she was left handed or her hand was unsteady, but there were drips and the color didn't cover my entire nail. I took a photo but I will spare you the goriness. Next, she took me to a different section of the salon for my shellac mani. This must have been part of their remodel as it looked really new and nice. My nails were not soaked at all and she pushed my cuticles back. Again, minimal shaping and attention to the nails. Doing the shellac was okay but there were multiple times where I had to ask her to repaint because she missed huge sections on the side of my nail. Had I not said anything, I doubt she would have fixed it or seen it herself. Finished nails looked okay but there were a couple little air bubbles. Overall, the nail tech was friendly however this was definitely not my favorite mani and pedi. If it wasn't for the money I wasted here, I would have gone to a different salon to get my nails redone right away. Probably will not be back here. read more

I haven't been back since last year so maybe things have become more customer friendly. I went in for a shellac manicure and it was the worst experience I've ever had and I have been getting my nails done for years. The customer service was extremely awful. Not one single employee was courteous or friendly in any way. I probably would have had a better manicure at a beauty school. The manicure was done sloppy, half assed, it was lumpy, looked like I needed a full and I just had them done!!!! I will never return to this place again. I will without a doubt make sure that everyone I know does not step foot in this place. Just terrible. They should be ashamed of themselves for offering this rye of service. Really disappointed:( I saw this salon on groupon, I was thinking wow this place sounds really great, especially since they have decent reviews. So I was all hyped up..I called once at 11 am, and a second time around 1. Both calls were UNANSWERED. The first time I can understand, but the second seriously? Since they didn't answer both of my calls I decided to go in at around 4:30 pm and see if they could do a BASIC MANICURE. I was really surprised when they said "No, we only have time to do a gel manicure" especially since there was only 1 customer there, and 3 workers. Gave this place the benefit of the doubt despite very, very mixed yelp reviews. Had a groupon and was in desperate need of a mani/pedi, so I figured even if this place wasn't the best, it would be better than nothing. After my experience, I'm not so sure about that. I got a same-day appointment quickly and easily, which was great. The lady who did my nails was nice enough, though she hovered over me and rushed me while I was trying to decide on polish colors. The pedi station was interesting. The seat was just a couple of cushions, and wasn't bad, but definitely not as nice as the places with massage chairs. That wasn't that big of a deal, though. The thing that was weird to me, was that the whole pedi process was really rushed. There was hardly any care taken to the nails, and, like another reviewer said, my feet were only soaking for a few minutes total. The whole set up was awkward, too. I had to stretch my legs as far as I could, and sit on the edge of the seat in order for the lady to reach my feet. Keep in mind that I'm almost 5'9" and have VERY long legs. I have no idea how anyone shorter could've even done this. The nail technician had very shaky hands and didn't cover my entire nails with color. I definitely could have done the same quality job, if not better, on my own. As far as the mani went, I should have just skipped it. I kid you not, the *shellac* polish started peeling off one of my nails before I got out of the parking lot. The lady was rushing through this whole process, too. There was no nail soaking, no lotion, no nothing that I normally expect when getting a mani. The gel color came out uneven, and almost none of my fingernails were fully painted. My manicurist actually noticed that my thumb nails had a ton of polish missing, and proceeded to paint over them just in that spot, with gel polish, after she had finished the whole treatment on all of my hands. This resulted in a VERY clumpy, uneven finish. I watched as she went back and forth through three bottles of top coat, trying to find one that was usable. They were all clumpy and the brushes were in terrible shape, yet she used them. The top coat really pulled the mess together... and made a bigger mess. Honestly, if I was the confrontational type, I would've just asked her to stop halfway through. At least then I would have had less polish to take off. I rarely take the time to leave reviews, especially negative ones. But this place was just too disappointing. Definitely won't be back there. Do NOT waste your money here! I purchased a deal chicken deal for a pedicure for $20. The wording was tricky and I actually thought I was purchasing a manicure and pedicure. So...when I called someone explained to me that it was just a pedicure....but I had already purchased it...so I went ahead and booked my appointment. When I arrived, I was ignored for about 10 minutes... which irritated me greatly. It is a small shop with all of the nail stations facing the lobby. The lady that I figured must be the salon owner looked at me a few times but continued to pursue other tasks...one of which was to call someone and rip them a new one out over the phone. Finally....only 25 minutes late....a lady came out to get me and led me back to the most ridiculous pedicure station...consisting of a bench and two regular sinks with regular faucets. Very disappointed the first time I went here... The girls attitude who was doing my mani/pedi was just so unpleasant. Not to mention she cut my foot! After all that, I decided to give this place a second shot since the salon was super cute and intimate rather than a busy nail salon. I went in to get a pedi and another girl who did it this time was equally unpleasant and the little conversation we had was just awful and i left feeling terrible about the experience! Since then I have been back for hair and many massages. Sam who does hair and nails is so awesome. She remembers my colors and and is just great I will continue coming here for her. Britani does massage and she is also awesome. She is very skilled and is certified. She has many options so that you get what you like. I won't go to anyone else. I have recommended both Sam and Britani to all of my family and friends. When you call for an appointment make sure to ask that it be with one of these wonderful ladies. I've never had such a bad job done on my nails before. I had a Groupon and thought I'd give them a try and was really disappointed. I called and they "fixed" them again and they were still bad. I could have done a better job myself! I'm so disappointed with the service and the lack of skills they have. Before my first visit was over, I'd purchased three more shellac manicures and I asked them for a refund on them (since I haven't used them) and they refuse to give me a refund. I'd also purchased a shellac mani and a pedicure through Groupon and they said I had to deal with Groupon for that. NEVER AGAIN! I had a perm done by Rachel. I have had many perms over the years, and this one was awful! She didn't leave it in long enough so days later after washing it, setting it and taking it down, the one side doesn't stay curly. I have to use a curling iron on it every day because my hair didn't look like it was permed at all, especially on one side. I thought for the high price I paid ($75) it would have been exactly what I wanted. And to top it off, when she blowed dried it the style was awful. I told her it was fine just to get out. I bought a Groupon for the 60 minute deep tissue massage and I have tried 5 different times over the last week and a half to make an appointment with the salon. I have either been brushed off, or lied too every time now and have yet to be able to schedule an appointment. The very first time I called to make an appointment she wouldn't let me schedule without giving her my Groupon code so that way if I missed my appointment she could redeem it but I didn't have the code so she told me to call her back. I called her back with the code and no one answered so I left a voice mail, and never got a call back. I called 3 days later and no one answered so I left another voice mail. A couple days later I called the number on the Groupon and a lady answered and she said she couldn't help me and that she would give my number to her massage therapist and she would call me, never heard from her. I called her again yesterday and she said she was closed, even though Google said she was open until 7, and that the number I called, got it off google, was her personal cell so she would text me to schedule an appointment. I was in town for my boy friends job and I decided to get a mani and pedi. I first found them on group on so I called to make sure they had time to get me in. The girl I spoke to hesitated about getting me after I told her I found them on group on, she told me to just come by. When I got there I was told to chose a color by the lady that had short colorful hair I don't recall her name she was super sweet I must say. Any other time that I have gotten a mani the tech soaks my fingers then applies cuticle oil to them push back my cuticles not is this case she just pushed them back dry not very pleasant not to mention she didn't cut any of them off. She then went on the apply the polish. Let's just say the pedi went the same way other then the fact that this time I got to soak them first but no cuticle cutting was involved. Worse massage ever. It might have been great if she could have kept her attention on me, but she kept checking her phone! When she saw me watching her she said she was "keeping an eye on the time". However, it took her a LONG time to read the clock. And there was a clock on the wall if she was watching the time. And she only checked when she was working on my feet. Sam does not seem to care if her clients come back as I was left with a stained upper forehead after a my hair color..I had to go home and wash my hair again.. By the time I got all the dye off .. My hands and arms hurt.. Which defeats the purpose of going to a hair salon to get my roots done. My visit to this salon was a waste of time and money. I was in a group of four women who purchased mani/pedis from Groupon. The women in the salon started off with us right away (two with manicures and two with pedicures) and when I asked for a flower on my toes for the pedicure, several of the women told me they didn't know how to do that, but eventually the owner said she could do that. The owner did a beautiful job on my toes, but complained the entire time about how long she had been at work (not even eight hours) and how she was trying to get out of there as soon as possible. I had several designs in mind for options on my manicure and was told over and over that nobody can draw straight lines on nails in their salon and any patterns were actually stickers (not true, a woman did a fantastic job drawing straight lines, FREE HAND, on my nails last year). The owner left and one member of our party was left sitting for 20 minutes while nobody worked on her and a great employee picked up the slack and took care of her pedicure... It turned out that the owner who left early was supposed to be doing her pedicure and just left, despite us having an appointment. The girl that worked with me was very abrupt and rude and used "retarded" as a derogatory term several times. The shellac manicure I got is very unevenly spread on the nail and I can actually see through it on my thumb. There was also no soaking of our hands/fingers in any solution or any lotion used in the manicures. Everything was completely dry. We're all very happy with our pedicures and split on the manicures. The environment of the salon was the majority of my disappointment in the experience. read more
