Big smiles from the staff; clear and concise directions; detailed explanations on exam; treatment; and continued care. It has been a while since I have been to an optometrist. And I can tell you the advance in modern technology is astounding. They took a picture of my eyeball. The image was so informative. I only need reading glasses. My eyeballs are near perfect with almost near perfect vision. Not bad for 61 years old. :) Great place.

I was informed that because I missed one referral appointment in 2022, I was deemed ineligible to be seen by the doctor. Additionally, I was told over the phone that all "Medi-Cal" patients, including myself, frequently fail to show up for appointments. This generalization struck me as unprofessional and unfair. As someone who works in the healthcare industry and has coordinated numerous patient appointments, I have never encountered such labeling or a lack of professionalism. It was disheartening to be categorized in a way that implied irresponsibility, especially when I had never received a call from the Orland Vision Center and had to receive my care at Chico Eye Center in 2022 instead. Now, in 2026, I am simply seeking an updated prescription and did not anticipate this process to be so complicated. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and improve your communication practices to treat all patients with the respect and professionalism they deserve.

The Optometrist, Dr. Robertson, included using some of the latest work with stem cells. and The Optomolgist, Dr. Smith who did the surgeries could not have been better. The staff is wonderful and professional. Spent several months often twice + a week and always felt in the best of care. The end result was going from serious issues to close to perfect vision. Also, I can't read with them. I told them and they gave me another exam but still do not have it right. OK. But, they haven't followed thru to ask if I had any problems. I had to call them!!!! Then, they have yet to call back!!! I paid a lot for these and expected better service. Was told I would be satisfied and they would stay on it until I was. I will not go back... Had been a patient for a few years so this took me by surprise. The young lady that is on the exam side is really nice. The manager of the glasses section leaves some to be desired when it come to customer service.
