Well, I went cause my wife insisted ... I had an excellent chiropractor up in Meadow Vista, but he retired. So I saw Dr Thomas today. It was a total waste of my time and money. Just cutting to the chade. This guy never even had me take off my serolla belt to examine me or try to fix my troubs. This guy, although very nice, had no skills at all for determining where my problem was. My other chiropractor that retired would test my right side and left side strength by having me try to lift my arms up one at a time to the side against his pushing down arm to determine which was my weak side that day. Then he would use his special method to systematically find out exactly what was out of alignment, by pinching here or pushing there on that side to see if it improved my function. Then he would fix me. Every single time, no exceptions. I would walk out of his home office fixed and in no pain, every time. Dr Thomas did none of that. He went straight to using the drop table. His hands on adjustment was pitiful and he spent less then 5 minutes actually adjusting anything in my back. My lower back never moved and I feel I just wasted my time and money yesterday visiting this office. Dr Thomas has no real 'determining your real problem' skills. At least comparing him to my Dr Richardson from Meadow Vista, he has none, just machines. My other doc always had to realign my cuboid bone in my right foot. This guy never even had me remove my shoes. My other doc would realign a rib or two, and use his clicker on my neck. All Dr Thomas did was crack my neck. I will not be back, and I suggest you find yourself a different guy with some real skills, unless some simple cracking, with no ability to determine where your real pain is coming from, is what you are looking for. I have been to at least 10 different chiropractic dr's in my life, I'm 65 in September... Honestly speaking, Dr Thomas is the least skilled of all that I have been to. CAUTION: I am new to the Roseville area and looking for a chiropractor. I saw Dr Wagnon for an adjustment because he had overall good reviews. He just did a one size fits all adjustment. No attention to specific areas, just tried to crack everything. Then decided to pull my head while I was on the table, hard enough to drag my whole body. Wow. I was legit speechless after my adjustment with Dr. Thomas lol. This was my first time with a Chiropractor and damn does Dr. Thomas knows what he's doing!!! I previously did PT work when I tore my labrum a few years ago, so my initial thought was to go back to PT when I started feeling something in my neck, shoulder, trap area. However, something was telling me that an adjustment might do the trick and man am I glad that I went to Thomas Chiropractic instead. I booked an appt online before they opened today and was seen fairly quickly. I didn't have to wait long at all! You pay for the quality of work, not how long it takes, so please remember that if you think that only a 30+ min session is "worth" your money. Sometimes all it takes is a few minutes. Dr. Thomas does his thing and makes sure that you're good before you go. Despite me only bringing up the concern for my neck/trap/shoulder areas, he noticed some other areas that could use some work and had a crack at it. Man, that felt good! I've had chiropractic care off and on my whole life and this place and these Doctors have made the most significant and positive impact on my health. Shortly after my moms full knee replacement surgery we started going to their office fairly regularly and seeing both Dr. Wagnon and Dr. Thomas accordingly when our schedules allowed. Mainly we saw Dr l. Wagnon for the first three months and then our schedule shifted and we now see Dr. Abon, who is their third option for care in the office. And with the care of Dr. Abon, I've seen an even quicker and positive difference in my health in the last three months. I've had chronic pain in my lower back and neck for many years. It has gotten worse as I've aged (osteoarthritis, scoliosis, and stenosis). As a last resort, I decided to give chiropractic care a try. To be honest, I wasn't very hopeful that it would help but it has been nothing short of amazing. I can't say I'm pain free but in just 5 weeks I've been able to cut my pain meds by 1/3 and I'm sleeping better than I have in years.. I went to this chiropractor with my hips out of alignment and in agonizing pain. On a whim, I tried this chiropractor and felt like I hit the jackpot when, in the first treatment, I could feel that everything was moved back in place! No longer white knuckling it through the day, I was relieved and thrilled. I signed up for the 6 month plan. I was told that the treatment may hurt for awhile. I went a couple times a week, for the most part, for 4 months. He advised me that I needed to keep coming and keep getting more treatments. And that if I decided to start running again, to see him because it may come unaligned again. He advised me to not stretch, as he thought I was flexible enough. After every treatment I felt sore and in pain. But he told me that was necessary to get better. The good: if you are in acute pain from your bones being out of alignment, he will probably be able to fix you up in the first visit. The bad: my muscles in my back became so hard and frozen from the repeated adjustments that I could barely move. I am healing with yoga, but I did not need that many treatments at all. The last two months of the 6 month plan, I did not want to see him again. At times he acted sophomoric with me, and I can only guess, with all women. He made cringy jokes at my expense when he didn't know me at all. I was desperate to get better, so I ignored his comments and kept going. The second to last time that I came in for an adjustment, he overcorrected my neck so that my nerves were pinched and I felt extremely on edge. I went back and he fixed it, but I would not go again. His philosophy is that the body is moving toward decline so you need continued treatment to help it along. My philosophy is that the body, even as we age, really wants to move toward healing and ease. And sometimes we need some help with that. The long and short of it: this is an unethical chiropractor who will milk you for all he can get without offering a viable recovery plan. I paid over $600. I am a woman who has always exercised my entire life. I am healthy and take care of myself with nutrition and exercise. I love swimming, yoga and running as my three main exercise loves. Thomas gave me the impression that my body was falling apart. I stopped running altogether during the treatment and started to wonder if I would have to give it up for good. I have since found an ethical chiropractor in the area who on the first visit explained what stretches to do to prevent me from ever seeing a chiropractor again for this reason. I met with Dr. Alan who listened to my story and told me that it sounded like my joints are compressed. He did some adjustments that I'd never had before and relieved a lot of pain in my hip, ankle, and leg. They are a walk-in clinic (after your initial consultation) and have very reasonable rates. I started seeing Dr. Jared Thomas due to my neck hurting. The first two visits were good and I thought I was on the road to recovery. On my third visit Dr. Thomas also adjusted my lower back. On my fourth visit which was also my last visit Dr. Thomas adjusted my lower back, there was a very loud CRACK. Dr. Thomas stated "I just broke you rib". He passed the blame off on me and said I must have moved my arm. Every single time I was adjusted, he manipulated my arms to the exact location he wanted them. I asked Dr. Thomas if I needed to go to the ER or call my doctor. Dr. Thomas said no, I would heal in a few months. Dr. Thomas stated it was common to break the patients ribs during treatment. The only instruction Dr. Thomas gave me was to come back and see him in two days, which I didn't. Now on top of my neck hurting, I was having difficulty breathing and was in severe pain from my ribcage. I had planned on joining their "plan" the day Dr. Thomas hurt me. Dr. Thomas said there was no need I would receive free care for the next two months. By the time I arrived home I was in shock. I called my healthcare advice line who instructed me to go to the ER immediately. To this day over two weeks later Dr. Jared Thomas has NEVER called, text or emailed to see how I am feeling. For the past two months, I have been having pain (severe pain) in neck and shoulders. My pain would come and go and last for a few days; until recently. My pain came back on April 9th and I had consistent pain up until today which is over a week now; way too long in my opinion. I was very concerned and worried about it. In my mind, I thought seeing my regular doctor wouldn't do me any good because he would have only prescribed me some prescription drugs and in the long run, that doesn't really solve the problem. Seeing a chiropractor really seemed like the best solution. I read many Yelp reviews and this particular practice got mainly five star reviews so I made an appointment with them. Unfortunately they didn't take my insurance but they put me on an extremely affordable treatment plan. I went in today and the doctor was super nice and knowledgeable. He explained two different options that were available to me; one he could take my pain away or two, he could diagnose my problem and set up a treatment plan to correct the condition. I naturally went with option number two. He took X-rays or my back, neck and shoulders and found out that I have a curvature of the spine and my neck is not aligned correctly. He then explained that he was going to give me my first chiropractor care on those areas. I laid on a table face down and he pressed his body on my back while turning my body at some awkward angles. Then I laid on my side and he twisted my neck to try to get my neck aligned correctly; not gonna lie, it hurt and I heard my bones crunch but, I instantly started feeling better afterwards. He told me that I may be sore for a few days but he reassured me that that is common and to just ice the area if any pain occurs. I have a follow up appointment with him tomorrow to see how I am feeling. I highly recommend chiropractic care for anyone who has back, back and shoulder pain. He didn't explain whats going on just cracked my back & wanted me to come back to "discuss the next step" and ofcourse, I'm not surprised. All these chiropractor businesses want is your time & money. Instead of making me leave with everything back in position and feeling great, he will only make you feel satisfied for a temporary period of time to make you come back. definitely didn't show any interest in my health.
