It's where I learned to get lost in the wonder of books and the joy of learning. The current library is beautifully designed and thoughtfully organized, with what feels like every book imaginable at your fingertips. Beyond the space itself, the people who work here are truly exceptional - some of the kindest, most caring individuals you could hope to meet. Now that I live in NYC, I love bringing my kids here whenever we visit. It's always my very first stop after landing at the airport. This library isn't just a building--it's a community treasure.

It's been a longggg time since I visited a library. Have found a new appreciation for it as an…read moreadult. First time back was for craft night making paper puffs from tissue paper. We've been back to a few other adult craft & game nights since, and really enjoy what the local library has to offer. Different activities are hosted monthly by the library and they are really fun! Christina is so creative with the monthly crafts, and such a lovely person to be around. Everyone gets a good laugh and gets to unwind. A few other librarians, like Gabe and Cat, go above and beyond to answer any questions you may have. Sorry I can't remember the rest of the librarians, but you are all so great! Love visiting my local library! Also, can't wait for the remodel of the library to be done next year.

I have visited a couple times and staff has been exceptionally helpful in getting me up and running. The negative reviews here seem to come from Grumpy Old People who don't check facility hours before coming or expect them to provide income tax service.

Nowadays, it is a state-of-the-art facility which caters to all age groups and I am getting to learn about what it has to offer (too much to note honestly). First of all, I will note that the staff are excellent - very pleasant, diverse and helpful, not only to someone like myself (with not obvious "disabilities") but to others as well. It is very quiet areas. I have been utilizing the private rooms for peace and quiet to accomplish computer activities and it is definitely much quieter than it was back in 2012 when I would frequent the library while in school for a degree. There is a wide variety of materials to be checked out: I learned about the "Library of Things", which are literally "things" that can be checked out and taken home with you (one of the many perks of being in the IPL district). If you don't know how to utilize the many services, feel free to ask Guest Services and a friendly person there can assist you. They got me set up with a visitor ID so I could log in to a terminal however I would recommend bringing your own laptop and just logging in with their wifi. The terminals are only good for 1-2 hours and if you need to be there a full day it's better to just log in on your own laptop; you'll have the same access to everything as on the terminals. Put in a good 6 hours here and got a lot of good research done. The building itself is gorgeous and spacious and fronts a lively little park next to their walkable downtown area. It was a day well spent.
