A great family restaurant with friendly service and wonderfully delicious food. Their soups are the best!

Great lunch here yesterday. Alyvia was our server and she did a great job. She was very friendly and had a good sense of humor. Since it was Thursday we all ordered the German potato soup. It is one of the best I have had. Corned beef sandwiches, Marty salads, and pancakes were all good. The food here is very consistent. Plenty of choices on the menu. Always good service. I usually come here for breakfast, and have always had a great experience. The customer service is good, and the food is made at the time of order. I usually purchase the sunrise special with hash brown casserole. It's about 13.00 dollars. The restaurant is well lit, and spacious. A really nice place to eat. Happened to come across Thomas's when looking for Easter Brunch restaurants and saw several 5 reviews from last year Easter and we decided to give it a try. It was packed when we arrived at 1 and we were quoted 25-30 minute wait and we're seated in 24 minutes. We both decided to get the Easter dinner special and loved every bite. Generous portions, delicious ham, relaxed atmosphere and not only were we tickled pink, but all the tables around us seemed happy and satisfied as well. Our waitress was the icing on the cake. Seemed genuinely happy to be there serving us even though it was a holiday. She was like a Hummingbird bouncing from table to table spreading smiles. Just all around a great dining experience. Met a few Fraternity Brothers there for breakfast last week. It was our first trip. Driving into the parking lot I was surprised by the number of cars I saw. There must have been 50 or more and I started thinking I had made a mistake by going there. Probably going to be a long wait. Nope!!! We were seated immediately. The service was fast and friendly and even though the place was crowded, our meals were delivered quickly. The food was very good and there was plenty of it. Another great meal at Thomas's. There's a reason it's always busy here, the food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent. I usually order the polish plate with city chicken, pierogi, and stuffed cabbage (comes with a soup or salad too), I ordered the Maurice salad today. It didn't disappoint- just like Hudson's but twice the size. Thank-you to our waitress, Jennifer- she navigates the requests of our aging parents with the patience of a saint. Rather new to west side here in Northville coming from Detroit 7 mile Kelly area. Very fond of pole town in hamtramck and the polish business. So nice to find a closer location for the polish platter and polish three. City chicken was great and I love stuffed cabbage‼ read more

It'd been ages since I'd been here, but I was in for a pleasant surprise! We came in for dinner (and in keeping with my New Year's goals), and I ordered a chicken caesar salad. This salad was HUGE. It could have easily been split between two people for complete meals. But the salad itself was great. The chicken was tasty. I felt perfectly happy and sated. Not too mention that I snuck a pierogi off my husband's plate, and it was a solid hit. Also, for a week day night, the place was surprisingly packed. I honestly had no idea how popular this restaurant continues to be, and for good reason, some day soon, I'm inspired to come back and try their kielbasa for myself. If Detroit's Coney Island is Greek-inspired, then this place has similar feel but with Polish inspiration. It's about the same quality and price point as a Coney Island, but with some specific Polish offerings. I can see why this place has continued to stay in business, and I'm looking forward to going back another time soon. (Preferably when I'm not ordering just a salad.) read more

I came here with friends for Easter brunch and had a great experience! This place illustrates the concept that details matter: they provide real whipped butter and Smucker's natural jam - higher quality stuff than what is provided at a lot of other family restaurants. Also, cherry walnut toast is an option and was delicious. Everything there tastes fresh and homemade. I ordered Mark's skillet: ham, bacon, sausage, onion, peppers, American cheese, eggs, hash browns, and hollandaise. I appreciate that they used actual hash browns rather than just diced potatoes, but I would've liked them crispier. The hollandaise was grainy, but it had good flavor. Overall, this was a really good amount of food. I also got a chocolate cream pie slice which was amazing: so rich, creamy, and smooth. I look forward to the next time I can go back here to try other items! read more

Nice, clean, and courteous restaurant. I dropped in for breakfast and I felt that it was inviting and I especially liked that there was sanitizer on every table. Coffee is served immediately upon being seated. The food was served quickly and I thought the food tasted ok. I'm willing to try the restaurant again and maybe a different meal. read more

It was a really wonderful experience family restaurant. I had the wild grilled salmon. My wife got a Maurice salad that was huge. The carrot cake we shared for dessert was the best I've ever had. We had a excellent meal and we will return clean bathrooms. I just can't say enough good things. read more

Maybe it's the extra water in a cold glass at the table, maybe is the spray hand sanitizer at the table, idk. The food is awesome, it's all cooked perfectly with proper ingredients. Then there the staff that are all happy and nice. To top it it's perfectly clean. Americana perfected. read more

Winter day 13° out and I want chowder. My last update I noticed the chowder was runny. Well now it's too thick. Really no broth just really thick broth. Almost like a Bear Creek Soup pack at Kroger. Had to add water to thin it down. Also noticed very little clam. The last visit also revealed the fish cod is smaller thinner and not as clear as it once was. Hey Mark you need to right the ship. You still got the crowds but the quality has slipped. read more

I don't eat out for dinner very much, I like cooking at home. I have been told Thomas dinners are good. So, we had dinner tonight( 1-31-26) our service and food was very good. I was surprised on how packed it was tonight.... this place is always busy. that's a great sign of a great restaurant. I have never had a bad meal here. The service is always great, they just don't miss a beat! I gave this great group 5 stars because I have never had any bad experiences. Everybody has to eat here at least once! Years ago this place was great. NOW - Not so much. Everything has changed...for the worse. Prices are sky high. Portions are smaller. Food quality is wayyy down. The chicken that comes on the salads used to be freshly grilled and had flavor. Now it's just tasteless chicken from a bag that they throw on - no flavor at all. I guess the owner thinks that no one will notice after they put on the salad dressing. The bacon on the salad is just crumbles of fat from a bag. And the amount of shredded cheese you get has been cut back by at least 50%. Years ago the carryout Thanksgiving meals were very good. Now they are a joke. The price just keeps going up while they give you less and less food each year. The turkey soup used to automatically come with the meals you ordered. Now I see that they are charging 11 DOLLARS per container!! Insane! You used to get rolls and salad with the meals too. And generously filled containers of stuffing. NOW - you guessed it - No rolls, No salad, and teeny scoops of dressing. I stopped ordering their Thanksgiving meals about 3 years ago - and I will never, ever order them again. The owner should be ashamed. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because they still have the birthday club - which means you get an email for a free meal when you purchase another one. Oh the entire restaurant (inside and outside) has been painted in various shades of gray. Depressing as heck. Looked better before. read more

My co-worker and I were apparently sharing a brain as we both decided to get the same thing, BLTs! Delicious! I would have preferred iceberg (which is not something I would normally say) to give a little more crisp to the sandwich. It's served with some leaf lettuce that doesn't hold up as well. However, even with that, it was super tasty! My friend got the homemade chips and I got the fries and we split them. Both needed to be hit with some salt coming out of the fryer. The new restaurant makeover is perfect! Beautiful and calming you feel in a wonderful place. I am amazed that even with a packed parking lot you're expecting to have to go and wait but you walk in and you get seated right away. It's well laid out so you don't feel like you're sitting next to somebody. The food and menu is wonderful assortment of food! Food is generous well prepared and the presentation is phenomenal. This place is so great! We had a large family group and they took great care of us. Every dish has a very healthy portion of food and everything we got was delicious. They also provided crayons and an activity sheet for the child in our group. The pancakes are to die for and they gave us chocolate sprinkles for our kids pancake meal. Don't miss out! read more
