Our experience with Thomaston Oil has been simple and good. We've asked for home oil deliveries and gotten them right on time, every time. No delays, no problems, courteous, professional service. And then there's this: they are about $1 per gallon cheaper than the oil company we had been using until last year. That's made a significant dent in our heating budget, and we're grateful. Zero stars not happy. We had called for an S.O.S service on our boiler. Our normal company wasn't available. The guy closed off the water during the service and never turned it on. Before leaving he advised us to buy a new furnace (we were shocked) Told us he was in a hurry to go to a party. We didn't know anything about boilers but knew it wasn't sounding right after the service. We called our normal company who couldn't get to us for awhile. The furnace sounded like it was ready to explode. Our company said he was careless and did not do and complete his job right. Somehow they even tricked my elderly parents into buying a new furnace. Stay away from this place! Our company has it back up and running after finishing what this guy started. read more

Have very knowledgeable staff/ service personnel. Came to home with leaking joints and explained very clearly what was happening and if it continues then can replace. Had worked on relief valves and situation has been resolved. Can't be more pleased. read more

we called Thomaston to fill are oil tank but my gauge must be off the tank would only take 134.3 gallons 15.7 short of 150 min instead charging us for the full 150 gallons witch would have been 44.43 they charged a $75.00 fee very poor business practice and would never buy from scammers like this again read more

ZERO stars I called to schedule an oil refill and I spoke with Lisa on the phone. she was rude and rushed the entire call. made it very clear she did not care about my time or the fact that I was a longstanding customer. clearly someone was having a bad day and did not care when I expressed my elderly grandmother was going to freeze unless I got oil delivered. We had an issue with an unstable tenant making multiple bogus calls and causing damage to our utilities. Thomaston showed up and was very understanding towards our situation. They dealt very professionally towards the unstable tenant and didn't charge us for the unnecessary call. We were completely floored with the generosity and understanding they showed us. Called to get a replacement for the 6ft 3/8" gas line that connects to my grill after my dog decided to chew through it. Figured I would call a local company to fix the issue. Got an appointment and waited 2 weeks. The tech showed up and explained it would just be parts and labor and then left to get the part (keep in mind that I had communicated was needed when I set up this appointment), returned 45 min later and installed the part in less than 5 min. Then had the nerve to charge me 335 dollars claiming there was a 'diagnostic' fee (really hard to figure that out AND this was originally communicated), a minimum time charge for the service visit despite it taking 5 minutes and 0 skill to connect, and 100+ dollars for a 65 dollar part (as listed on FW Webbs own website where the tech had to drive to get pick it up instead of coming prepared and saving everyone time). Decided to call and speak with the service manager who refused to budge and stood by the ridiculous charges justifying them as the cost of doing business. It was only after threatening to dispute the charge did he even offer anything... $50 off a furnace cleaning... LOL. Finally I said come take the part back and refund me. The same tech showed up less than 15 minutes later to disconnect the hose... all for an incredibly simple issue that could have been solved in far less time for all parties involved. Further, not only were the charges not communicated up front, but they are wildly out of proportion with reality, they are dishonest and unfair to the customer. That is not the mark of a company I want to do business with and nor should one anyone else. read more

This place is extremely unprofessional. Especially Diane My father is an elderly disabled man and had received energy assistance. He called on a Tuesday for a delivery and it is now Friday evening and not received it. They took his check and cashed it collecting the money so he cannot go elsewhere...I called myself personality to find out why. The women who answers Diane refused to give me her name and started yelling at me, even tho I was kind and patient with her. My father is now completely out of hearing oil in the twenty degree weather... I called the energy assistance company to make a formal complaint but I would like to save everyone the time... Bc if you need oil they will not come through as promised. read more

Service manager is rude and owner doesn't call back after leaving several messages. Had a headache since I got two service plans from them. They spelled my name wrong and labeled the furnaces wrong after calling to correct it. Was misquoted prices and never received my service details after asking several times. They claimed their website was wrong and that's why I was misquoted. Came out to fix a relief valve not once but twice now and still having issues with it leaking after it being "fixed" a month ago. Clearly they are using faulty parts. Now they are trying to charge me for the labor after I was told it was covered under the warranty. Never will do business with them as clearly no one can run the business properly nor return calls. Had no issues with this part before they touched it. read more
