I would never use this place again. My husband passed away April 16, 2026 they didnt have the time to creamate him until May 2, 2026. Now today is May 7, 2026 and Mr, Robert Curtis Brown is refusing to fill my husband's urn and the keep sakes because he claims to not have the time. So it has now been a week that my husband has been sitting in a bag downstairs in their basement and not returned to me. I feel like they give more gratitude to families that are spending more money for funerals and not just a cremation. I had to retain an attorney just to receive my property back. This place is unprofessional and should not be in business. After losing a loved one, the last thing a person wants to do is be even more stressed out with other things beyond the death of lossing their loved one. Very, very, very unprofessional. Do not use this place. Do not waste your money or time here, find a place that will have you at peace and make things easier for you in your hard time. Best of luck to you all. read more

My grandmother prearrangement was not honored. We were charged for service that should have been honored when she applied for the guaranteed preneed insurance. We decided to have her transferred and not accept service there. We are still owed money and Mr. Thompsom refuse to give a refund. Made a complaint with funeral bureau and he refused them as well. read more

Many times when a loved one transitions, we select the large chain funeral homes to take care of everything that's needed to do, to lay our loved ones to rest Many people do this because they think these large funeral homes have the best "template" to make things go smoothly. My family didn't feel this was the right option for us. We selected Thompson's Funeral Home because it is a small family owned funeral home and we wanted special touches, compassion and care that I have not experienced with the larger chain services. From the moment I called them until my dad reached his final resting place, they treated us with love, dignity and respect. They went above and beyond for my family! When I say above and beyond, you have no idea! My dad wasn't treated like just another person who passed. He was treated like a person with a family who loved him. He was treated like a Thompson's family member. They worked tirelessly to make everything so special. This meant so much to us all. The flowers were gorgeous, the casket and final blanket were beautiful. Every detail was thought through with compassion, love and professionalism. I am so happy that we chose this family run funeral home. They are now our family. Worst customer service ever I made a mistake of using them for my Grandmother. From beginning to end everything was a absolute disaster beware of this funeral home. 2011 - Grandma shows up to her wake almost two hours late. Hair isn't combed, makeup isn't done. All this is then completed in front of mourning family and visitors. 2017 - Grandpa shows up to his wake over an hour late. Thompson funeral home changed the viewing hours from 3p-7p to 4p-8p without notice, and the church they collaborated with had no idea of the wake until a couple hours beforehand. Grandpa's body looks nothing like him - I'm aware there's only so much they can do with a body, but making it look like it's covered in thick vaseline with an ultra facelift was straight up traumatizing. read more

They are a rip off. The Deacon talked bad of my deceased sister at her own funeral. My sister was late for her own funeral because they was late opening the mortuary. They had her dressed in a thong when my auntie arrived. My Auntie had to dress my sister in the hallway with other dead bodies. This place is a disgrace to anyone that has a funeral there. read more

The family of my Boyfriend went to this funeral home OMG not only did I smell the body but several flies were striking I had to swat them away from him, He had a ashy powder on his hands. Does this funeral home care? Fyi *** His body came to this funeral home less than 24hrs after he passed so im sure it was their refrigerator system that didn't keep his body preserved. read more

If I could give this funeral home -3 stars I would. If you want your service to look like a shit show I encourage to go ahead waste your money and have a service here. They have no hospitality the staff stayed in the office the entire time and they did not have programs ready. The organ sounded like it needed replacement and the minister could not sing. They had no control of the congregation or the service. They allowed someone who wasn't apart of our family to start and lead the service which result in a verbal argument and almost a physical fight. My cousin's make up was terrible. They may as well have put white powder on his face and it would have looked the same as the dusty makeup they used. Don't book anything with them or you will be the next to write another bad review. They are in need of some SERIOUS help! read more

****WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE****After my wife died I was referred by hospice nurse to the manager of this firm. When called the phone was answered by what sounded like an elderly women who didn't care to be bothered. I asked to speak with the manager and the lady said , "how can I help you?" I replied by asking again to the manager. The lady raised her voice and again said, "how can I help you?" I replied to her that I was referred to the manager and told to ask for them. In a loud, rude voice and tone the lady said, "Well what do you need! I'm the manager!" I replied by saying okay you should have introduced yourself earlier. The women then hung up on me. I was so emotional and shaken I did not know what to do. Later, a friend referred me to Cypress Lawn in Colma and I was provided excellent care and customer service. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My grandfather died and this place had a 5 star google rating, I should have checked the review first than entrusting the rating, anyway, I called the place and Linda was very patient and gracious with me, made an appt right away to see her and discuss what was going to be needed. I go in and I am seen by Mr. Thompson himself. He right away starts filling out the form asking me questions I was not prepared, my mother has all this info and I just came in to get information and details on what the process was. I felt a bit bullied into it, but regardless, I had my mother on the phone with me, Mr. Thompson made so many mistakes, his hands were super shaky the whole time, he crossed out and rewrote what I would dictate to him so many times. He then took the payment right away and at this point I still dont have any info on what the process is, when they are going to call us to let us know how or when everything is going to take place. It's been a week later and still crickets, we need to ship my grandfather to Mexico where the funeral is going to take place and I have just ran out of patience. They fucked up my grandfathers final Death Certificate TWICE! Unbelievable. Please DO NOT send your loved ones here. I am in full support in small family owned businesses but this place needs to retire. read more
