    Dumplings
    Doug W.

The people here are very friendly which is why it pains me to say that I would never come back. The $50 worth of food was nowhere near the quality I would expect; The calamari had a heavy fishiness to it, both in smell and flavor, & a tad chewy. The drunken noodle dish lacked a sauce and flavor that traditionally is easy to avoid, the veggies weren't fresh and the chicken was extremely chewy. The Massaman curry being a big favorite for me at most Thai places really fell short, the broth tasted great but again, the chicken was super chewy and the potatoes were bland. No peanut, and it tasted to us like it was all cooked separately and then reheated together upon ordering. The dumpling had an odd texture and the sauce tasted too... maple-y. Not a fan of this place at all, I'll keep traveling to Island is for now.

No spice, no acid, no salt. Thai is supposed to taste at least like one of those things and all I got was bland food. Do not recommend.

We ordered the Thai Iced Tea, Thai Iced Cranberry Tea, the Morakot, and a virgin Lychee Margarita, all refreshing and well-made. The Secret Thai Wings were crispy and flavorful, the Roti Canai with Massaman curry was delicious, and the Tom Yum Soup came in a generous portion with bold flavor. The Garlic Pepper Calamari was tender and perfectly fried, and the Crispy Tilapia Pad Thai ended up being our favorite dish. Great food, great service, and beautifully decorated for the holidays. Definitely worth a visit.

It is cute enough for lunch or a low key dinner and the staff was attentive and checked on us throughout the meal. They do have happy hour until 4 on Saturdays with $3 off cocktails which is a nice perk. I had the margaritas and they were actually really good and made strong so I will give them that. For food I ordered the whole fried snapper with basil. The fish itself was fresh and fried really well. Texture was great and it was cooked properly. The basil sauce just did not have much flavor for me which was disappointing. The fish deserved a better sauce. We also had the chicken pad see ew. The noodles were soft and cooked nicely but the dish was much sweeter than I am used to for Thai food and very heavy on sodium. It was a little overpowering. Overall the drinks and service were the highlights for me. The food was just not memorable and for Thai I expect more depth of flavor.

Very cool spot. We haven't been in here to sit down and eat since it was Sweet Mandarin…read more Lots of redecorating and reconfiguring but it still has the same City/clubby vibe at a lot of sushi spots. Dark paneled, highly polished wood and Asian accent prices blend with low lighting, neon and the ambient pulsing of low-key club music. Our waiter was... stoic. Huggy feely was not on the menu apparently. But that was fine. He was prompt and attentive and that's all we really want when we head out. Fairly extensive menu with a lot of sushi-house standards as well as their own specialty rolls (which, I guess, is a pretty standard thing to do as well). We got the ceviche for an app which was very small and pretty basic. Also got the Crunchy Crunchy Crunchy which was more interesting. Soft, spicy tuna provided a nice counterbalance to the fried seaweed. Oyster Bay roll featured a thin slice of jalapeño on top of each piece with a dollop of spicy Mayo. Not really hot (then again, I tend to like napalm on my wings) but had a pleasant and persistent kick. We have ordered takeout as well. Their Thai options seem to be fairly done. They should get an award for the most over-the-top take out bags. Overall, a nice night out. Happy with the service, ambiance and, most importantly, the food. We'll be back!
