Horrible post-sale customer service. We bought a used Jeep from Thornton in December 2024, and since the Owners Manual was not available at the time of purchase, we were told one would be sent to us. It's now been 2 months, and we haven't received it. We have called them several times and have gone back to the dealership several times, and there is zero accountability by the staff there. Let me start by saying the team here is fantastic! Everyone is very friendly and willing to help out. When they say they'll call back, they definitely keep their word. The Service Manager, Colby, is a great guy and was working with me through a very tough situation. I have an older Jeep and it needed a lot of things at one time and unfortunately my household has one income currently so things are a bit tight... Colby and the Advisor, Luis, helped me target what made my vehicle safe to drive and did it as reasonably priced as possible. My vehicle is now driving much better and I'm able to take a family road trip safely now. They also caught things other shops had messed up or missed previously, which really drives home their attention to detail. Everyone, including the technician, took time out to explain the repairs, show me what was wrong, and ensured I understood everything. If you're looking for a trustworthy repair shop that's updated, operates with integrity, and had a very nice comfortable waiting area with drinks and snacks, this is your place! i had thornton chrysler jeep installed a battery 4 years ago..it has since gone bad....didn't think nothing of it..until aaa gent came by to jump me so i could get to the parts store to buy a new one..the first thing he said..this is the wrong size battery...look it doesn't even take up the space in the battery tray.. also. it only has 700cca way small for a v8..i took it to advance auto...the technician said the same thing it was a size34 and it needed to ve a 27..which is larger. i went on line and verified it..also the larger group size increased the cca bt 235 to 935cca...if thornton chrysler cant get the correct size battery..thats bad...never go back again read more

Me and my fiance bought a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee here. The ad said the jeep had an automatic car starter, so as we were trying to figure out how to use it, we noticed it didn't have one so we called they said we could buy one if we want it but but that all they could do. Not only didn't it not have a car start but the radio didn't work. They wouldn't fix it. Said we have to pay for it to get it fixed. We have taken this jeep back numerous times, so we noticed it was burning oil jeep didnr even have 100k on it so we got the oil changed, and with in a month, it was bone dry. We took it back to change us $108 for some kind of oil test. we had to bring it back at 500 miles. The man explaining the tesr to me says if it's not burn iok at 500 mile, don't worry about bringing it back. Well, a thousand miles later, and it's bone dry. We had to take it back. This jeep has been nothing but trouble. They didn't stand by what the Advertised. I will never buy anything from Thornton. They lied about that thr jeep has wouldn't fix what was brbroken. I'd give the minus stars if I could. This place is a joke. When I started shopping for a car I was skeptical I would find what I was looking for. I stick with Thornton because they're fair honest and have amazing Customer Service. Overall the experience was ok and Caleb, my salesperson, was friendly and went above and beyond for me. However I can only give 3 stars because of two things: First they sold me a car they hadn't even inspected yet! I had to drive 45 minutes out of my way to take it back to be looked at a few days later. Second....their service department left a bad taste in my mouth. They weren't friendly and didn't seem to know what was going on half the time. I got an oil change once and they wrote the mileage down wrong. When I called to find out the correct mileage for my next service they didn't know. They had no record of it. I complained enough about the issues I was having that they picked my car up at my workplace and delivered a loaner once and the salesperson was kind enough to give me a free oil change. I personally will stick with Thornton in Dover. In the end I'm happy with my car. I love the color and that it's dependable. read more

Just left the dealer out East York and the young man Malik extremely professional we were looking at challenger the price was right and I asked for him to test drive he explained the policy about running a credit app for a test drive extremely. Intrusive for that type of business but I asked the young man to get the manager so he could explain it so the manager comes out not only does speak to me as if there just to test drive a car just because it's cool as he stated I was there to literally buy a car again. I'm speaking to this manager who is extremely aggressive extremely ignorant and extremely disrespectful. He's comparing me to people just here taking test rides. Little did he know I was actually there to buy a car so I want Malik to thank him for screwing up a sale for him because I was literally going back to get the car the price was decent. I don't know this man's name white dude with funny haircut extremely ignorant. And dismissive and what you can approve is not letting this guy be a manager of anything let alone the business first of all you don't sell that many cars for a dude to talk to a potential customer way he did so again I appreciate Malik for at least attempting to sell me the car but I want you to thank your manager for screwing that up for you and if I was you, I look for another job. I've been to this dealership multiple times. I bought my car here and taken it in for service. Each time I have come in it seems less and less people are wearing masks. We are still in the age of Covid and I find it extremely irresponsible that an establishment like this allows its employees and customers not wear masks. just now Worst place I have ever dealt with. Applied on Monday 06/08/2020 for a Ram pickup. Cory from financing contacted me that afternoon and told me I was approved he just needed me to bring in proof of income and employer. Dropped off paperwork at 5:30pm that evening and was there till 7pm. Rich who was the sales guy I was stuck with told me after sitting there for an hour and half that they probably won't here from the bank that night. Rich told me he would contact me the next morning. Rich had us put a $500 deposit down on the truck. Didn't here from no one. I had to call them and when I did Rich told me he didn't here anything yet. Mind you they only had to confirm my income. Then Wensday at 5:15pm Rich calls me and tells me bank denied me. How do you go from a approval to a denial? Wouldn't recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. On Thursday October 24 2019, I came in to Thornton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to purchase a new 2020 Wrangler Unlimited Sport S. My wife and I had every feature picked out except one feature which was the technology package. I was helped by Travis Grove and we went through the build process up to the technology package option. I asked him what was the difference from the standard sport s option and the technology option upgrade for $995 as the build site does not state what is in the package at the time. He told me that it was a 2" bigger screen, dual climate automatic temperature control and air filtering. After this I asked him as I saw a banner behind him that discussed apple car play in the Wrangler. I asked him if the radio I am getting had apple car play as to which he replied yes they all do in the Sport S. So fast forward to getting the Jeep on 12/05/2019 and getting it home only to our disappointment we could not get the apple car play to work to which Travis told us to bring it in and he would help us. As soon as we got there Travis got in the Jeep and told us he knew why it was not working because the radio was not equipped with apple car play. To which I told him you told me the Jeep would have it. He told me he would look into what it would take to get the radio in. Two days later he calls me and tells me it will be $1600 to which I told him but you gave me the wrong information and if you would have told me the correct information then I would have ordered the upgrade. After another phone call I was then told that it was not an ordered option since I bought a Wrangler Sport and not the Sport S as to which comes with the radio I needed but he quickly corrected himself to say it was an option. I told him it was a sport S and when you go to the build a Jeep website the features the Jeep have start at the Sport S model such as power locks and power windows. After him figuring it out it was a true Sport S we went back to the radio being $1600 to install or an aftermarket radio with no pricing yet. I told Travis I wanted the radio at the upgrade price since it was his mistake as to why I did not order it correctly. At this point Jake the manager talked to me and told me that my Jeep was built to what I wanted and that he could look into pricing for an aftermarket radio to be installed but that was on Wednesday 12/18/2019 and still have not heard back from them since. To sum this review up they will not do any discounts or anything else to make this situation right, and point of the matter they do not care if they lie to a customer and give false information. Go to a different dealership or ask for someone who actually knows what they are selling. Be forewarned! I recently purchased a 2019 Ram 2500 Power Wagon from Thornton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Red Lion, PA. I love the truck! The dealership, not so much. From the outset, I was never all that impressed with the dealership or how I was treated there. Unfortunately for me, the truck that I was interested in is somewhat of a specialty truck, which limited my options to only a handful in a 50 mile radius. I ended up purchasing my truck from Thornton despite my misgivings because they had the truck in the color I wanted with the options I wanted. No other dealer anywhere around me had this precise truck. Despite the inferior customer service, low-ball offers for my trade-in and lack of general knowledge about the truck that they were selling me, I relented. What disappointed me the most was my final negotiation call that I had with the GM of the dealership. I asked him if he could move a little bit more on my trade-in so that my monthly payment was a little bit more palatable. I asked for an additional $300. The GM promised me that he was completely maxed out on the deal. That they were actually losing money on the deal and assured me that I was getting a phenomenal deal. He ended up offering to meet me halfway and offered an additional $150. So I took him at his word, presumed he was being honest and so it went. No less than 48-72 hours later, I find my trade-in, a 2014 Army Green Toyota FJ Cruiser, listed online for $5,600 more than what they gave me for it!! I was given $29,300 for my trade-in. Thornton is selling the vehicle at a "discounted internet price" for $34,900!! After I was told that they were losing money on the deal that they were giving me and after they really nickel and dimed me to the very end, here they are standing to profit $5,600 purely off of the vehicle I traded in. So much for honesty, integrity and trustworthiness....... I hope that this review helps anyone who reads it to not get completely taken for a ride(pun intended) by Thornton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram and best of luck during your vehicle search! read more
