I should mention I despise the entire car buying process. I don't like going to the dealerships, I don't like feeling like I'm being ripped off, and regardless of how much research I do, Kelly Blue Book look ups, Car fax's that I pull, or TrueCar Value's that I find, I still feel like I'm not getting the best price or am not asking the right questions. Doug at Cooper Motor's was extremely friendly and straightforward. He gave me a fair price on my trade-in, without asking what Car Max or others had offered in advance. His quote was spot on. He held the vehicle I wanted to purchase, no money down, no signed paperwork, as I worked through the loan process with my Credit Union (got a FABULOUS deal through the Credit Union). Most other dealers have given me the, 'other folks are looking at it, I can't guarantee the vehicle will be here when you get back' or some sort of pressure to buy in the moment. I have no interest in being pressured into a purchase and have no problem walking out of any dealership that makes me uncomfortable. This is my first vehicle purchase where I felt really, really good about the purchase. I would highly recommend Doug and Cooper Motors to anyone in the market for a vehicle. I purchased the vehicle with a warranty back in August 2016 and just recently the vehicle started acting funny. I was scared to drive it the hour away to Hanover for fear of breaking down on the side of the road (yes, I drove an hour away to Cooper Motor's to purchase the vehicle and for on-going maintenance b/c I like them that much) Doug came down to my place of employment (where my vehicle was), which again is an hour away, and towed me and my vehicle up to Hanover for no charge. I received a loaner vehicle to drive home while the mechanic Jon checked out my vehicle. Doug also does the buying for the vehicles on the lot at Cooper's so he said if I were ever looking for another vehicle to let him know and he would keep an eye out for the specifications I was looking for - no obligation to buy. The young lady that answers the phone has always been pleasant and helpful, Doug has been fantastic, and I feel really comfortable speaking with their mechanic Jon. Jon, also, has never made me feel pressured or silly for not knowing what a part was or wanting to check with my husband before doing work, he has been great to work with. Highly recommend. My husband is currently searching for a vehicle and we are planning to purchase from Cooper Motor's.

I cannot say enough good things about this place and Ed himself and the morals that this place has…read more It is not a place that tries to mask issues in a car until it is sold so it is not longer their problem. If you want to buy a used car from here you can trust that to the BEST OF THEIR KNOWLEDGE they are selling you a car they'd sell to their own family. My dad and I found a car on Facebook marketplace that was from Lookenbills Auto Sales. We went and test drove it and had one concern which was that when you let go of the steering wheel the car would drift. After we left, Ed sent me a message telling me it was a nail in the tire, which they fixed, and upon further investigation they found a leak in the radiator which they replaced (I would have had no idea and still would have probably bought the car). Awesome, we decided to buy the car. Within the same day my car wouldn't start. I understand the "as-is" contract so after getting a new battery (mine blew up on auto zone's charger) and a new alternator I needed it put in. I gave him a call to see if he would be able to install it for me, which he couldn't do until the following week because his lot was so full. He then messaged me offering 200$ towards the repairs. I was not able to make it to Hanover to pick it up but he went out of his way to mail me 200 in cash. There are some things that you just won't know if you are not driving the car consistently. It was very obvious that he was not aware I would have issues with the battery/ alternator after leaving the lot and went out of his way to try to help me when in NO WAY did he have to. About two months later and I am still driving and loving the car! Sometimes people need to understand a used car and an as-is contract is for a reason and it's not a malicious reason. Thank you Ed for your honesty and for being a good human in the midst of all of the negativity in this world!

I was hesitating whether I should put more budget in a used car or finance a new car. I have been thinking a lot over this issue since I have a limited budget. Fortunately, my colleague introduced me to Aaron who is very knowledgable on car financial. He listens to my problems and did his best to help me out; after talking to him I had no hesitation to buy a brand new car. Thanks so much Aaron! Also, my salesman Mick was so friendly and professional, I just told him what I was looking for and he showed me only one car that I ended up buying! He explained car functions very throughly before I took a test drive and repeat them again after purchase to make sure you are good to go!. Jenn was helping on my paperwork she is very friendly and gave clear explanation before I sign something. Last but not least, the overall experience was excellent. I left the location with my first new car with a relief!. Everybody is very friendly with professional manners. I highly recommend you to buy a car from Hanover Toyota!!

After receiving a text about the needed repairs, I tried calling the service department 5 times to confirm they had the parts in stock and could finish today. Every call went straight to voicemail. I'm currently in the market for a new Camry, but due to this poor communication and frustrating experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

A month later we received a large check from them for the Gap coverage on our previous vehicle. Two months later that are asking for that money back. Apparently when we were applying for the loan, Apple saw that we had money due to us and planned to use that GAP money towards our down payment. We were never told and never agreed to these extra funds being applied to the new car loan. It's partially on us for not reading all 45+ pages at the time of signing of our agreement, but it's also very poor business practice to not let us know that money that was owed to us would be applied to the new car without our knowledge. I will also add that the money from the GAP coverage on the car was for a car that was sold over a year ago, so those funds were kept from us for over a year.

This is the kind of service have come to expect from Honda as I have been customer with Honda and have bought several cars over the last 30 years or so. My husband asked ahead of time if they could replace the car battery bc of the mileage and it had not been replaced prior. Most places replace these items to ensure a tip top running vehicle before leaving the lot. The salesman stated it wouldn't be a problem however the manager refused. Insinuating that it didn't need it, etc. We weren't happy but took their word for it. They clearly don't look at their used vehicles because then our mechanic found very corroded spark plugs appearing to be original on a 100k mile vehicle. The other day our son was at a job site and the car wouldn't start. The battery was dead. My husband went out and purchased a new one and contacted our salesman to let them know what happened. Clearly the battery was old and should've been replaced like he originally asked and was told no. When they responded to the battery incident they basically said it's a wearable part and like many other wearable parts that'll go bad, it's not their problem! This could've been or should I say should've been replaced prior to being listed for sale! This isn't a beater car that was on a corner car lot for cheap cars. This is a very nice and gently used car that was supposed to be for sale on a reputable lot. Clearly they don't inspect the cars or care after the fact! They made their money and that's where the customer service died with the battery! Buyer beware!!!
