From the moment we had our initial meeting at Thornton, we fell in love with the location and knew we had to get married here. Andreá and Parian were so helpful throughout the process and very responsive to any questions we had leading up to our big day. We loved having our wedding at Thornton! We were the first wedding in Cooper's Hall and our wedding went off without a hitch! I couldn't say enough good things about this venue and the staff. We stopped at The Well with our bridal party on wedding day so we could take some fun pictures and grab a delicious hand-mixed cocktail. we can't wait to go back and hang out even longer!!! I've been coming to the establishment since the doors first opened. I will say the place use to be the greatest place around. Outstanding drinks, events and staff. Now the place has gone downhill. Out of the 6-7 beers listed on the drink menu, half are out of stock, or the staff is just to lazy to put the kegs on tap. The staff is horrible, you can't tell who actually works at the place since they wear pajamas to work. The service is horrible, takes a long time to get a drink. It seems like they don't want business, they just want to focus on distilling. Hopefully they see this review and make some much needed changes. read more

This is a great place, nice venue and amazing drinks. I went there Friday night for a tasting and the premium spirits were excellent. The rum, whiskey and vodka were outstanding. I will definitely return. The bar tender was amazing and the owner was really cool. We had a great tour of their distillery including their water source. I look to return many times. Jeff was super nice and helpful however i'm giving two starts because of how rude the small blonde bartender was rude. A customer asking if they make a certain cocktail because it's your first time at the location is understandable. However laughing at a customer for being unaware of the items of the new place is just insulting. I had high hopes for this place but so far that bartender gave less than excellent customer service. will not be returning. being laughed at for questioning the drink menu is rude. read more

We did he tour, and Andrew was a great tour guide. Getting an insight into what was happening in the area at the time the distillery opened back in the 1850's was really interesting. We were also able to go down into the bowels of the building to see their artesian well. Following the tour, we were treated to tastings of five of their spirits, all of which were excellent. We stayed on to enjoy the ambiance of the stone-lined dining room and sampled three of their flat breads, all of which were excellent. The real stars of the evening though, were the building itself; solid, comfortable and lit by period light fixtures and candles at the tables; and the waitstaff, each of whom seems vested in the future of this amazing place. We had a wonderful and memorable evening there, and will return again and again. Thanks so much for a great evening! read more

Someone shared this hidden gem with me and I had to check it out. Give yourself a treat and head to the Well! The historical facts are amazing. The flatbread is off the charts. The crust is flaky, buttery and delicious. We had the margarita and the artichoke flatbread. Lastly the drinks are awesome and they pack a little punch.
