I was first time diner at the Station. Our server and Bartender were so nice and fun. It's a lively bar with gaming. We tried the pizza and the super thin crust was delicious. We met friends here who live closer by for a nice Sunday afternoon get together. The thin crust sausage pizza was one of the best outside of Chicago. The pizza was not greasy and the crust was nice and crispy. Very good and highly recommended. If we lived close by we would be regulars. We enjoyed some good beer and played some bags outside. The food here is fire. Don't hesitate on the Pot Roast Melt sandwich.... my god its good. My husband said he was dreaming about it. A perfect example of a great pizza stop. I had heard from around that this place is a must try for a good pie and sure enough it was. We went with a large pepperoni & mushroom. We devoured that thing. Our experience with the staff was wonderful. They were very friendly people that gave exceptional service. The only sad part was we accidentally left our to-go box on the table as we left. That's hardly a problem though since I plan on returning very soon!! This place is a hidden gem. It is a little hole in the wall place and by the looks of it you won't think it's very impressive but DON'T judge this book by its cover. The food is amazing. Pot roast sandwich, wings, pizza, shrimp, and now the pork chop dinner are all great choices. I'm sure anything else on the menu won't disappoint but those are all food items I've personally tried. The only negative I have with the food at this place is everything is so damn good it's hard to pick what to have. Environment wise, it does have that local feel and obviously it has its regulars (me not being one) so at first you might have that feeling you are outta place but that feeling will go away pretty quick. This was recommended to new by a friend. The appearance will fool you. It looks like a dumpy place on the outside but the insides are great. Staff is friendly and helpful. I had a medium sausage mushroom and onion pizza. It was delicious, the crust was very good, not too doughy, but the right crunch. The ingredients were generous and the cheese was primo and tasty. Ya know, that old world rich taste that says it's real and from a secret recipe. The sauce was more sweet than savory and not skimped on at all, the overall taste of the pizza was delicious and it flowed nicely with all the great parts. The pizza is okay. And always molten lava hot when you get it. I was sitting at the bar and i wanted another beer. There is a lady and a guy behind the bar. The lady working the bar used the same glass to pour me another beer. Customers should always get a clean glass. I thought it was gross and unsanitary to use the empty glass for a refill. read more

We had a medium meat lovers and 10 hot wings. I thought it was a little pricey for the neighborhood bar. I would suggest they run a $25 special! The pizza dough tasted like it was frozen and I was not a big fan of the sauce. However we were hungry so we ate. It was still meaty and greasy! Pizza, oh pizza how much I love a good pie. We are new to the area and have tried several places in this area with the sad realization that we are used to Chicago pizza. We decided to give the station a chance, I've passed it numerous times and never thought about stopping (more of a guy that likes to hear how great a pie is before ordering myself) my friend gave it rave reviews. Talked it over with wife and we orderered the biggest pie they had. Sausage and mushroom. Crust is great, any crust that can hold up to pizza sauce cheese sausage and all them rehydrate the mushroom, and not get soggy and has a nice crunch is a crust for me. (I'm a huge fan of Chicago's Vito and nicks and that cracker crust) then the cheese although sparse it got its job done, you can really tell a decent cheese from a cheap cheese. The cheap cheese has a ton of oil you can take a bath in there's so much of it. Sausage and mushroom are both premium products. Now Onto the sauce the base, the holy tomato ! It had a very very awkward tang to it. Almost a sweetness. Once I got a taste of it it was almost a turn off. The food used to be good, but then they fired their best cook. To make that situation worse, they run out of things on the menu constantly, so you often have to order four times to get anything they actually have in stock. The beer selection is probably the worst of any bar in the area, and the clientele are almost exclusively middle-aged bigots, so that's fun. To make things worse, they are overly familiar, and me asking someone not to touch me (not something I'm comfortable with from strangers) led to a different patron threatening to beat the shit out of me. When I told the bartender, she tried to talk the guy down rather than kick him out. He had clearly had far too many, and was threatening another customer, but he just gets talked to? This is the only bar in town, but I'd rather quit drinking than ever come back. Constantly dealing with racism and inconsistent food, and now apparently threats of violence have been added to the repertoire. This may literally be my least favorite place on earth. Food is consistently good here, and one of my favorites is the pot roast sandwich. So large that I usually bring almost half of it home. I've returned just for that, and have brought many friends who agree. Also, the nachos are exceptional because they are made with homemade tortilla chips that are deep fried when you order them, so they are always crisp and fresh. The staff has always been friendly, and the owner always comes around to make sure that you're happy.
