Having been a faithful patient of another dentist (now retired) for almost 30 years, I'm relieved to find a new "home" with Dr Angulo, who was highly recommended by a reputable periodontist (along with my partner who's been a patient here since 1985). Allison (hygienist) is gentle, thorough and pleasant. Dr. Angulo is personable, highly-experienced, and has shown a thoughtful approach in evaluating a cosmetic issue around a tooth implant I've had for over 25 years. Compared to my prior dentist, TPDA has noticeably more modern technology, that seems more effective and efficient in assessing my overall dental health. The type of care this office provides is way under par. The office staff is rude and cruel and the dentist is lackluster with his approach to his care....he doesn't care. They are unprofessional and treated me with distain when I was trying to have a service provided. They overcharged me and kept changing the price when I wanted to have certain services provided. I'm really happy with my experience at Thorton Park Dental Arts. Dr Angulo was super helpful and did a lot of great work on my teeth. Everyone working there has always been very friendly and patient with me. I had a lot of work that needed to be done after neglecting my teeth longer than I should have. So over the course of some months I had several appointments. They were really patient and gracious with me every time I came in. They didn't pressure me or anything and were helpful in explaining and answering all of my questions. And were always cautious and sensitive. I appreciate the team here and will continue to come back. I'd recommend this dentist to anyone in the area looking for a good experience. Dr Miller used to be an awesome dentist until she came to this office. We have followed her from here Office in private office in winter park to a partnership in Oviedo to this office. Now she is will not bothered talking to her patients unless they are in the chair paying her to talk. After dr Miller refused to see my son unless we did a panoramic x-ray, which I really did not want to do. Who needs more radiation these days? She said they had a new office manger and this was a new policy. Well, trusting dr Miller as we have for a number of years my son arrived at the office. He told the tech he only wanted a panoramic x-Ray. The tech did the panoramic AND 15 Bit wing x-rays!!!!!!!!!! What in the hell were they thinking! A panoramic does the entire mouth! My son just turned 19 and did not know better, they CLEARLY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF HIM! This office is all about THE MONEY!!! THE HELL WITH THE PATIENT! When I get the bill and questioned why I had s balance due I was told the insurance did not pay for the panoramic. I told them yes they did, we get one year. That's when I found they did 15 bite wings!!!! They had the gaul to tell me my son is an adult and they didn't have to approve anything with me!!! When I asked why they did all the X-rays they said "we are not insurance driven" We do what we want!!!!!! When I asked to talk to Dr Miller I got sent to office manager. I asked to talk to Dr Miller again and I received I letter in the mail telling me "I had two weeks to find another dentist and she would forward my records to new dentist!!!!!! What kind of crap is this! We have been patients of Dr. Millers for over 10 years! This is how she treat us????? The balance on the bill was $12.40. They took our $50 credit we had AND WANTED MORE MONEY! Run from this office! They are all about the money the hell with customer service no matter how long you have been a steady client. WOW, has this practice steadily nose dived compared to when Dr. Charles Gill owned it. All the services are the same, er, sort of . . . if you like being sold on the idea of Dr. Angulo looking in your mouth for 90 seconds while he ignores you and talks to the hygenist about what Jorge Angulo thinks is important to talk about with the hygenist: sports, food, kids, etc., name it. And what matters to Dr. Angulo WILL NOT be about your experience of that day's visit at his practice OR is there anything that he and his staff could do better . . . ? WHILE simultaneously boosting the rates on all of the services without prior notice to established patients like me. Thornton Park Dental Arts used to practice dentistry as a healing art and it thrived under Dr. Gill. Dr. Gill was a natural, an ambassador of good will, when he built and ran this practice. Now it stresses running like a profit center. Dr. Angulo models the important fact (to him) that we now live in the United States Of Money. read more

I have been using TPDA for over 20 years. I appreciated the relationship my family developed with Dr. Charles Gill and expected that relationship to continue under the new management. I arrived today (6/18/18) for an appointment only to be told by the office manager that a copy of my drivers license information was required for fraud prevention. I only provide my license information to an identifiable law enforcement representative. I am not a mindless sheep. Misuse of information (does Facebook ring a bell?) happens all the time. I will take appropriate precautions to safeguard my personal information. I was told if I did not comply with this policy, I would not be treated. So much for a relationship of over 20 years! A drivers license is required for service? Since when? My insurance agency provides a unique ID number for use in determining my eligibility for coverage. My relationship with and trust in TPDA has been seriously damaged by the rigididity of this policy. New patient? Maybe. Denial of services to a long time customer? Unacceptable. I have always paid my bills with this company. However, I find myself seriously questioning whether I will be spending any more time, let alone money, at this practice. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They are the worst dental office in the entire city of Orlando. They nickel and dime you with the insurance. They ask you to get a certain type of insurance so that when you get that they still charge you an outlandish fee in addition to the amount they collect from the insurance. They require two visits obviously to make more money before they even clean your teeth. And then if you have to cancel because you're sick for Covid they charge you another $50. Update: I needed to get an upper denture and went back to this place. After looking at everything, just the upper denture, with the extractions needed, would have cost me $10,000. And I would have gone home with a denture that day. In the end, I went to another place, Paid 1/4 the price and had everything done that Thornton Park would have done. I felt like I was being taken advantage of, and it was more about the money for them than my well being. I am so happy with the denture I got elsewhere. I just can't imagine that Thornton Park would have come close to that with only providing the denture after the extractions. Please find somewhere else. read more

She said that someone called and even wrote notes in the computer. When I explained no one called me she stated my phone isn't working. My phone works fine. Don't you just love it when you are eating a Snickers, only to have a crown come loose? This happened to me recently. Fortunately, I was not experiencing any pain. I did, however, call Thorton Park Dental Arts and left a message that Friday evening after I came home from work. I received a call back early Monday morning and was able to get a appointment for 9:00 a.m. Tuesday (today) with Dr. Kathryn Miller. The good news is that there was no decay on the tooth with the crown, and the crown itself was still in great condition. In less than one hour, they were able to attach the crown onto the tooth and assured a good fit and bite. By lunchtime, I was able to eat with no difficulty. I have been coming to Thorton Park Dental Arts for years, and have had Dr. Miller perform any necessary work on my teeth. Adrienne, the dental hygienist, is the best! The whole staff, from the front desk/office area, to the dental hygienists and the dentists, are really professional and friendly. I have received the best dental care since I have been coming here. I would really recommend Thorton Park Dental Arts to anyone who is looking for a dentist. I would, however, not recommend the Snickers! Not after that episode! read more

Just don't waste your time or money here. This place is just one bad joke followed by another bad joke. The good reviews are definitely fake. Just like every place in Florida, if it says "the best", it's usually the worst; or at best, mediocre. I have many dental procedures that need to be done. I chose this place because the dentists, Kathryn Miller was on my dental discount plan and all reviews except for one was good. I should have listened to the bad review. So, i'm going to enforce the bad review with another bad review because it's the truth. I was fine with the dirty work areas, the ignorant children running the front desk, the fact that the exam and consult had to be done in separate appointments,and the patronizing dentist who blamed me for the foods I ate and grabbed my most fragile tooth with her fingers and tried to wiggle it after she enforced the fact that it was fragile. I understand the urge; every time I walk into a china store, I like to drop the dishes to see if they break. These are all true signs of a bad dental office and dentist but I persevered because I am a glutton for punishment and decided to go to the second appointment; the consult. At the consult I am told that all will be done in four appointments, approximately 4-10 procedures per visit for a total of five hours per visit ( nobody's got time for that), they don't prescribe pain killers ( HELLO ER VISIT!),and the kicker is that I would have to pay $9k upfront out of a $10k total for the first three appointments. This was non-negotiable; their way or the highway. I talked to the child manager and her response to the questions was aggressive and disrespectful. I make more money in three days than this dentist makes in a year and I am here to say that this place is a bad deal. I paid $125 just for the initial exam and was told that I would get a cleaning. I am not going to see a reimbursement for the cleaning I paid for so how do they expect me to trust them to reimburse me for the $9k out of the $10k for the procedures I may not even get from them? So, I took the highway and found a dentist that worked with my time constraints, no pain, no bad attitude,and he was happy to take my $10 k. ( same amount I would have had to pay with the discount plan, I paid without using it.)Only after he did the work; not before. read more

I am not fond of going to the Dentist as most people might be in the same shoes. I found Dr Angulo after Dr. Gill retired. I am so happy to say he is just wonderful. I have told many co-workers about him also and they all agree. He is kind, gentle, and explains everything to you step by step. I am such a baby when it comes to needles and wow..Dr Angulo is magical in this area. I hardly feel a thing. I love the fact that they do their on crowns right there. No more waiting a week or so..boom! done deal. He is amazing. My company just changed dental insurance and his office is a ppo provider so that makes it wonderful. Even if he was not in the plan I have, I would still bite the bulllet and still go. By the way they offer Care Credit so no worries if you have some out of pocket expenses. Adrienne the hygienist who took care of me really went above & beyond to make this visit as comfortable as possible for me. She was amazing and walked me through the process of what she was doing the whole way through. Dr. Angulo was just as great! He really focused on my areas of concern and took the time to explain things to me. It was almost like a dental assistant 101 course and it really helped me understand and feel at ease.
