On April 24, 2024 Dan from Thorsen's Norquist presented at my door to do the yearly check of my air conditioning system. I recognized Dan as he had done the yearly check of my heating system in the past. I was happy to see him as I requested a more seasoned and experienced service man when I called to make my appt. He is very professional and very knowledgeable. What I thought would be a routine check of the cooling system turned into much more. He discovered that the system was not cooling properly and needed some refrigerant added. He suspected that there may be a leak in the cooling system. He added some dye and said that there would be a follow - up check within 45 days. Although I was not thrilled with the extra charges for the visit, I was extremely happy that Dan was the gentleman that came to do the yearly check. I insist that Dan be the tech that follows up within 45 days to check on the system. Without his years of experience and knowledge this possible leak would have not been found. Honest and Reliable! From the very first call to the very end and with a follow up call to see how everything was. Although we had what seemed to be a typical water heater issues, Manteca wasn't typically an area they visited for a service calls, however, after explaining our water heater dilemma to a wonderful woman named Kathy in Dispatch she said those words that we all want to hear on the other end " Let me see what I can do you". A technician was sent out that evening to try and troubleshoot the least expensive possibilities and it turned out that a new pilot assembly was needed and also needed to be ordered from the Mfg on the east coast. The technician was not only super thorough but also incredibly personable and attentive throughout the entire appointment. They took their time inspecting every part of the system nothing felt rushed or overlooked. They even pointed out a few small issue that could've turned into bigger (and more expensive) problems down the road, and explained everything in a way that actually made sense. Thorsen's - Norquist is professional and top-flight. Last year we had another local company who came out and serviced our HVAC systems. One month after servicing both AC units, one of them blew a compressor. The company that serviced that unit gave an outrageous bid so I called Norquist. Martin came out right away and gave us a very competitive bid. His team of professionals came out as soon as they could schedule it and did a fantastic job. They even discovered our electronic filter system had been not working for some time and in the process of rebuilding the unit, they were able to get that part and bring the full unit back online. Got the job done and $150 under the quote. The advantage of Thorsens is they have been there for decades, Over a hundred years! So, I had a problem with rooftop A/C that was under warranty as far as parts, but not labor. They were still around so the warranty was good and parts available. Real professional. A small company's warranty is useless if they are no longer in business. Thorsens will be there forever. The brand they feature is Bryant which is also a long time manufacturer and will be there to supply parts.They have all the tools and diagnostics to solve problems along with great experience. read more

I was recently visiting my mom in Turlock. First one, then another toilet would not flush and overflowed. We were preparing for a party so this was especially bad timing. I called Thorsen's and had a great experience. The person taking my call connected me with Jason, the plumber. He was terrific! He came quickly, explained what he would need to do, took care of it efficiently and with the least amount of clean up for us. We visited for a minute, paid the reasonable bill and that was it. They did an outstanding job with following through and completing the job. We had a plumbing issue in our office and they came out within 30 minutes, worked well in to the evening, and returned first thing the next morning as they said they would. They then discovered that our backup was caused by the city's pipes and not our own and they worked directly with the city to supervise and facilitate the fix. They did an awesome job. read more

Thorsen's to the rescue again! First super hot day of summer and a part went out on one of our units. Luckily, our regular service tech, Jarrett, was able to come over last minute. We had a really bad clogged sewer line at our workplace and tried to clear it up ourselves for a couple hours with no success.
