Later that day they gave us a courtesy call to let us know that some storms were coming in and if we were coming in from the west we'd be hitting some significant rain. Pretty nice. Very good RV park. The sites are nice. Not paved but still very good. Small gravel makes it easy to level. Picnic table at each site is on concrete slab. Full hook-ups. When we got there and were hooking up a member of the staff drove by our site and called us by name and asked if we were doing ok. Great service! Very nice large pool. It's open 9:30a-9:30p. They have a volleyball net and basketball hoop so you can play in the pool. Park is pretty large. There is a pond out back where you can go fishing. They have cabins available and a few have good sized decks that overlook the pond. Nice tent area with covered picnic tables and electrical outlet. Would like to have seen grills at each site. Cabins and tent sites seem to have them, but RVers like to BBQ, too. Also some recycling bins would be good. We pulled in after dark and the entrance was not very well lit and there were a lot of cars due to an event in the Rec Center so it was hard to see where we were supposed to park to check in. Overall a good campground. I'd come back.

We found this to be a very nice campground, beautifully maintained, quiet and peaceful, staffed by friendly and gracious people. It is a very scenic place with a nice pool and a pond if you like to fish or just watch the moon rise. We are tent campers, and were happy to see that there was some shelter from the hot Texas sun along with close water and power. We booked in advance and we looked forward to our one night stay in Caddo Mills, but when it was time to leave, we wish we could have stayed several days longer.

Enough trees in the area to hang several hammocks and set up chairs. All the cabins are close by to each other so camping with a group is made easy. We made the decision to rent a golf cart to drive around on - made life so much easier! We are already planning our next trip back!

The prices, I felt, are reasonable but when you need to pay class in full and then camping in full, it's a little overwhelming. Thankful that they have bathrooms and showers, community building with laundry and fully stocked kitchen, greats ponds to walk the dogs around, and the maintenance guys are great! The only things I would say is to add bug lights on the community building porch so that we can sit out there and enjoy and replace the burnt out bulbs by the community fire pit. Other than that, we would be back!

We went last week and were pretty disappointed. Golf carts were dirty, cabin had bugs and…read morespiderwebs, bunk bed wasn't pilot secured to the wall, didn't have enough utensils, no sponge to clean the dishes, no trash bags, pots and pans shoved into the cabinets like it hadn't been checked. We talked to the front office about it and they said they would call housekeeping and nothing.. none of the issues were fixed besides the coffee maker. We also ordered from the canteen and it was the slowest service I have ever experienced. The employees seemed completely lost and not sure how to run it. For the amount of money we spent, we expected a little more. Probably won't return and will go To camp Fimfo.

Mixed Experience at Jellystone Park in Tyler, TX - Won't Be Returning…read more We visited Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Tyler over the 4th of July weekend, renting multiple cabins to celebrate with family. The water park was definitely the highlight -- our 2- and 4-year-old had an absolute blast. The main pool was also a hit with the kids. The fireworks show on the 4th was fantastic, and the overall list of amenities is impressive on paper. However, the rest of the experience didn't live up to expectations. Cabin Conditions: * The A/C worked well in the living room, but bedrooms didn't cool properly when doors were closed. * Every cabin we rented was noticeably dirty -- floors hadn't been swept and one even had old hot dogs left in the microwave. * A power outlet in one unit was missing a cover. When we reported it, we were told it wasn't a concern since it was behind a couch, and that no replacement was available. * Shower water pressure was barely a dribble. Booking & Check-in Issues: * Reservation originally showed 2 adults and 1 child -- we corrected this twice (via email and phone), but still arrived to find the wrong number listed and missing wristbands. * After addressing it at the office, an employee from the back (who hadn't been part of our conversation) loudly accused us of lying across the lobby. Extremely unprofessional and embarrassing. Thankfully, the staff member at the front counter resolved the issue. Canteen Inconsistencies: * Friday's ice cream experience was a pleasant surprise: generous portions and great value. * Saturday was a different story -- disorganized line, over 30 minutes of waiting, and significantly smaller portions for the same order. Other Observations: * Some activities were fun, but it felt like we were being nickeled and dimed: expensive gem mining bags, having to pay for mini golf balls, and constant unexpected upcharges. In summary, while the water attractions were great for our young kids, poor customer service, cleanliness issues, and lack of consistency made this stay more stressful than relaxing. We won't be returning. Anything else I need to add?

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!…read more SO DISAPPOINTED & DISGUSTED. When we arrived at the gate to check in, we were greeted with signs of a "GAYla". And then as soon as we entered the grounds, gay flags. We should have left, but we were ready to be settled. The park was completely full of queers, causing our children to wonder why such behaviours. And then while they were sleeping, there was a noisy (unnecessary) parade that woke them. This park markets family-friendly yet promotes the opposite. Too bad they don't stay neutral and keep their unnatural views to themselves.

It was only five dollars a person to get in for the day. The main office was very clean and organized and the bathrooms were clean and we also purchased a few keepsakes. I am not an RVer but they have lots of nice shady spots. Some that are pull through and some you have to back into. It looked like all of the spots had a gazebo type cover. They also have cabins you can rent out; some thing my wife and I discussed for the future. It was very quiet and covered in a lot of trees and seemed like a very nice place to camp. As we drove out, we had the unexpected surprise of seeing 3 deer in one spot and two more in another.

Based on this second experience at Cooper Lake State Park - South Sulfur Unit, I HIGHLY recommend an overnight cabin stay! **Cabins can be booked a maximum of three months in advance.** Equipped with full restrooms including powerful, hot showers, two full beds (must bring own linens for all needs), a futon, 4-top table and chairs, 3/4 fridge/freezer combo, drip coffee maker, stove top with two heating elements, AC and heat, a back balcony with grill and picnic table, and a lakeside fire pit, we wanted for NOTHING and ENJOYED IT ALL!

If we would have stayed here first, we would have NEVER bought it. The first tell-tell sign should have been the torn and thrashed sign that once said thousand trails. (Should have took a picture of it) It is a great representation of how much pride they have there! The 'club house' if that's what you want to call it, was run down, didn't have much in it and the things that were there, were broken. I tried to discuss this with management, but to my surprise they didn't have any! I reached out to corporate and after several attempts with week long delays between my replies, they too had a very similar not-give-a-care attitude. Just keep driving, you'll be grateful you didn't stay here.

The views of the lake changed from sunrise to sunset and created a feeling of peace. The park has two pools and lodges with special weekend activities for children. There are short trails on one side of park through pretty forested areas. The roads within the campsites are a bit rough but not so bad that it will rattle your RV too much. Staff is friendly at check in and helpful.
