The state park had multiple clean restroom facilities with water fountains and places to fill bottles. I enjoyed a 14 mile trail run, looping each trail several times. Multiple trails offer lakefront views. The park is open early (6 AM) all the way til 10 PM with self-pay options for entering. At just $5 to enter, it's a real bargain to get outside and get your dose of nature in. There were minimal pests (bugs) throughout the park (unlike my last trip to Broken Bow!), and I must have seen at least 20 deer in the 3ish hour period I was there. It's not Colorado or anything, but for being so close to Dallas it's a perfect retreat. The park staff was very friendly, along with all the locals I encountered on the trails!

It's been an Amazing place, pecans all over, quite, RV's are kept clean and the people tend to stay to themselves. Owner has provided a great location and ample of space for the Full timers. Frieda, our now friend who works the front desk is one of the nicest, most accommodating people you will ever meet. She always has the most beautiful smile on her face and makes you feel welcomed like you're apart of her family. One reason we will be coming back to stay is to pay a visit to lovely Frieda. The park is so maintained and absolutely gorgeous with its huge trees and beautiful lake. I spent hours enjoying the view on the huge grass lawn during my stay. 10/10 experience!

Everything was way too wet, for them and us, but that's not their fault. The owner/manager/whatever was nice enough but did not leave us instructions for after hours arrival. I know the weather had caused them big problems I'm sure. We survived but were only there for one night and moved on. They had what seemed to be a nice TV room and pool but we didn't need any of that.

Maybe I'm not carved from the same metal as Texans from East Texas. Despite being an avid swimmer, I haven't yet warmed up to the idea of swimming in a lake where alligators have been sighted. But hey, to each their own! I've swam in the ocean many times. Sharks have been spotted there so maybe this is similar!? Just know that you can potentially knock "swimming with alligators" off of your bucket list by swimming at this lovely beach;). This beach park also includes gravel parking and four, nicely spaced shelters with picnic tables and grills, not a bad place to spend an afternoon or evening;)

Later that day they gave us a courtesy call to let us know that some storms were coming in and if we were coming in from the west we'd be hitting some significant rain. Pretty nice. Very good RV park. The sites are nice. Not paved but still very good. Small gravel makes it easy to level. Picnic table at each site is on concrete slab. Full hook-ups. When we got there and were hooking up a member of the staff drove by our site and called us by name and asked if we were doing ok. Great service! Very nice large pool. It's open 9:30a-9:30p. They have a volleyball net and basketball hoop so you can play in the pool. Park is pretty large. There is a pond out back where you can go fishing. They have cabins available and a few have good sized decks that overlook the pond. Nice tent area with covered picnic tables and electrical outlet. Would like to have seen grills at each site. Cabins and tent sites seem to have them, but RVers like to BBQ, too. Also some recycling bins would be good. We pulled in after dark and the entrance was not very well lit and there were a lot of cars due to an event in the Rec Center so it was hard to see where we were supposed to park to check in. Overall a good campground. I'd come back.

We found this to be a very nice campground, beautifully maintained, quiet and peaceful, staffed by friendly and gracious people. It is a very scenic place with a nice pool and a pond if you like to fish or just watch the moon rise. We are tent campers, and were happy to see that there was some shelter from the hot Texas sun along with close water and power. We booked in advance and we looked forward to our one night stay in Caddo Mills, but when it was time to leave, we wish we could have stayed several days longer.
