This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had…read more While we were away, hotel staff allowed other guests into our room because of a "double booking" error. Those guests, together with hotel staff, removed our personal belongings and took them to the front desk without our knowledge or permission. When we returned, we were told there was nothing the hotel could do because it was "an error in their booking system." That's not an excuse--it's the hotel's responsibility to manage its reservations without violating guests' privacy and security. I contacted Booking.com, and they reached out to the hotel on our behalf. We requested a refund since strangers had been allowed into our room and had handled our personal belongings. The hotel refused, claiming they weren't responsible because the mistake was caused by their online booking system. Blaming your own system instead of taking responsibility is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the staff was completely unprofessional and showed no concern for what had happened. There was no apology, no accountability, and no attempt to make the situation right. We paid nearly $600 for a single night, only to have our privacy violated and our belongings handled by strangers. If a hotel is willing to let other people into your occupied room because of an internal mistake, how can anyone feel safe staying there? Avoid this hotel. If they can let strangers into your room once, they can do it again.

My wife booked this place thinking it would be a good experience. There was no help with our luggage. I went inside to ask for help and the person over the counter "Marcus" goes "do you not see the bell carts outside?" After bringing in my bags I'm checking in I mentioned "I'm here to check in" and Marcus says "oh really? You don't say?.... I see you booked this last minute. Very interesting". At this point I'm disappointed with what we're experiencing so I try to just get the room keys and leave this old man to his misery. My wife and the kids decide to check out the heated pool before calling it a night, to their surprise, the pool is freezing cold. And the jacuzzi has a green discoloration and smells horrible. The next morning we grab some toast and make a waffle, the new guy over the counter is just staring at us doing nasty faces. Doesn't say good morning. Nothing. I'm not sure if there's something in the water or it's just a bad place to work, but the vibes here are very negative. If you have the opportunity to stay somewhere else, I would. From one parent to another.

She is really helpful and can even tell you about places to visit in town. We used to stay on the top 5th floor but now we have a dog so we stay on the second floor where pets are allowed. Our 9 year old loves the swimming pool but only when nobody else is there because it gets a little wild for her. We love the lady at the restaurant her name is Debbie. She has a really good memory and remembers people and what they order. The restaurant is extremely good. We get the breakfast burrito, and the French toast. Our daughter says the bagel is better than most bagels. The manager walks around being helpful to employees and he checks on guests. He says hi, asks how people are and everyone seems happy. We really like the layout of the hotel and the parking lot. The access to the beach is excellent and the front desk has things like beach chairs and sand toys to borrow. The rooms are always very nice with more than enough amenities for us.

It is a couple hundred yards from the beach and walkable to everything in Seaside. Book through their website and not on Airbnb. She came back to the inn and rented us a remote room in another building. Our mistake was not checking out the room before hand and just taking it. It was an interesting two story old duplex. Old as in interesting and quirky. I loved that it had a kitchen and couldn't imagine what it was like to live there back in the day. Anyway the bedroom is upstairs - very steep short stairs and the only bathroom is downstairs. As I am of an age where I need to get up at least once a night to use the facilities, I didn't feel safe walking down the stairs half awake. Thank goodness the couch was very comfortable downstairs. While checking out the space there was a door across the hall from the bedroom about 2 feet above the ground. We opened the door and was surprised to see another bedroom - there was a little ladder inside that would have allowed an easy climb into the room. Breakfast was in the main building, just help yourself to drinks or wrapped bakery items. Also yogurt and other goodies.

Right by the oldest golf course in the PNW, great food at the Sandtrap, and again the VIEW! Last year we saw a whale and baby playing just past the whitecap waves!
