I have contacted Yelp support and they took care of it. The account was deleted. I was anxious to create a new account because of that. However, I wanted to continue to write reviews and try new places. I really liked the woman that did my eyebrows, she got rid of every last bit of hair. She did go over it multiple times but there were no scars or marks. I usually get a full face and she took her time getting rid of every last bit of hair. Good experience overall and 10/10 recommend.

She remembers you, asks how you're doing, and is warm with everyone who comes in -- it never feels rushed or transactional. I always look forward to my appointments because of her. I absolutely love their Carmel Mountain location, but I hate their Point Loma location. I've never had issues at Carmel Mountain, but I constantly have issues in Point Loma. I've repeatedly had issues with their website, allowing you to book on days that they are not open and their website hours on Google saying they're open even when they're not. I've contacted them multiple times about this, but the issue has never been resolved. I'll be honest this was one of the only places I have ever trusted to do my eyebrows and I had a great experience a handful of times I've been to Carmel Mountain. But they really need to get new management for the point Loma location. I know it is new, but that is not an excuse for how it is currently running. I've also heard other reviews from friends of mine saying that they will show up on time for their appointment and the staff is not there and has been up to 30 minutes late for their appointment. I hope to continue to be a customer because I do love the Carmel Valley location, but I really hope they can step it up in point Loma. Overall, I have a bad taste in my mouth from the poor experiences in PL.

Customer service at LaserAway is a joke…read more I purchased a Thermage package for nearly $3,000. Before making the purchase, I specifically asked what would happen if I couldn't tolerate the pain, since I had never experienced the treatment before. I was assured that if I completed less than 10% of the treatment, I would be eligible for a full refund. I ended up doing barely one pass and simply could not tolerate the pain. When I requested a refund, I was told they would not issue one because I had apparently been given "misinformation" by their own staff. So now I'm stuck with nearly $3,000 in credit for services I don't want or need. That is completely unacceptable. I ended up using some of the credit on Clear + Brilliant, which was essentially pointless for me, and Botox with injectors that were inexperienced and horrible. The biggest issue here is that I made a major purchase based on information their employee gave me, and when that information turned out to be wrong, LaserAway refused to take responsibility for it.

I have been coming to Shanaz for threading my full face and neck and she does an excellent job. i love her homey atmosphere, very clean and very professional, she takes time to hear what you want, yet will advice since she has years and years of experience and is an expert in her field of threading. the other aspect i love going to shanaz is she does not rush to get you out as other places do, and just laying down on the massage table while she is threading is very relaxing compared to sitting in the chair, which gives a crick in the neck, awkward , painful, and you have to slip your butt to the front so you feel like you are falling off the chair and hold yourself together which is a pain in the back, literally, so i love going to shanaz and laying on the massage bed while she does the threading. I have noticed every time she religiously will sanitize her hands first , then clean the area that she will thread with cotton and witch hazel and she also sanitizes the clients hand as the client has to hold the eyebrow area to help with threading, i have been to other places in the past and no one ever did that... that speaks volumes of her care for her client and love for her work...and after she is done, she will once again clean the area she threaded with witch hazel and cotton and give you the magnified mirror to check and see, to make sure you are happy and satisfied, for shanaz its about her work and client satisfaction.... i will never go anywhere else. thank you shanaz for your love and dedication.. read more

Shanaz isn't just a phenomenal threader, she's a straight-up good, genuine, honest person. Her work speaks for itself - she's precise, diligent, experienced, and incredibly talented. She offers her own suggestions, but she always listens and does what the client wants. Her prices are far cheaper than other threaders', and I can't even articulate how many times she's thrown in free areas. She's a superior communicator, and conversation with her always goes smoothly - in fact, over the last few years I look forward to going to her because she treats her clients like friends. Shanaz is the BEST! I was referred to her by a friend over eight years ago. Since then I have referred her to many of my family & friends...even my mother goes to her now! In addition to her skills being the best waxing and threading treatment services I have ever had, she is professional, flexible, and fast. I have been going to Shanaz for more than 15 years. I have tried different places that were closer to where I live but Shanaz does the best job which is why I will travel the extra miles to get my threading done. In the past when I have gone somewhere else (I always get my full face done) I notice the hair grows back in two weeks. However, with Shanaz my threading will last up to 3 weeks. This makes a huge difference because I can wait 3-4 weeks before making my next appointment. Plus her prices are reasonable which you can't beat. I've been to threading salons near the Mid City area, La Jolla, and Hillcrest but no one compares to the quality of work that Shanaz provides. read more

I'm so sensitive about my eyebrows and i have tried many different places. My friends at work suggested Shanaz and I tried her for eyebrows threading. The next day when my friends saw me they were all amazed and said that I look way different from always and my eyebrows are at their best shape. I get my eyebrows done by Shanaz once every few months and she always does a fabulous job. She threads from her home and it is very private and comfortable. She is conservative and won't go crazy when it comes to hair removal. Your eyebrows make your face especially when it comes to makeup.
