After a…read moreprior trial, they knew exactly what I wanted and made all the appropriate suggestions when needed (ex: curling my hair a certain (i.e. REALISTIC) way to keep my veil and tiara in, advising how my makeup would look in natural vs. artificial lighting vs. night time...basically things I would NEVER think of). On the big day, Nina used airbrush foundation on me. It was my first time using that and my makeup stayed fresh day and night! Amazeballs I say. Even despite the tears and sweat I endured! Even my lashes...which are notorious for having a mind of their own...were super comfortable and on point all night. I felt like a suuupahhh mah-do! They also curled my hair and braided it in such a way to integrate the handmade bead tiara and veil. It stayed in place all day...one less thing that a bride has to worry about, right?? These gals are the best to work with. So sweet, very accommodating and knowledgeable. They're pros at what they do!!

She had this incredible way of making you look like the best version of yourself whereby you still look authentic but elevated, and I LOVE that her instagram is full of completely unedited, real shots of real brides. She went above and beyond in terms of communication and even adjusted her busy schedule to travel to my airbnb for my wedding preview the week before my wedding to accommodate me as an out-of-state bride. It's also worth noting that I generally have pretty healthy skin - I rarely breakout and I normally have even texture. I had two small pimples pop up several days before my wedding, and the product my dermatologist told me to use made me break out and gave me a horrible, dry, uneven patch right on my upper lip that looked like the stuff of nightmares (no joke, this rash literally covered my upper lip area area) . KC covered it completely while keeping my skin looking healthy, dewy, and natural. She is truly a miracle worker. My makeup stayed put all-night long, and looked pristine even after hours of dancing (and drinking haha). In addition to her insane artistry, KC was charming, easy to talk to, and outrageously kind. Moreover, she recognized when I was feeling nervous and gave me time to sit quietly in those moments - this is something I will forever be eternally grateful for when looking back at the whirlwind that was my wedding day. Like so many other brides during this time, I made the decision to postpone my 2020 date to 2021. I also made the difficult decision to downsize our wedding to almost half, and to choose a new venue - all in 8 months to the new date we chose. I can't remember exactly how I stumbled on KC's Instagram page, but I remember thinking to myself "Wow everyone looks like they have perfect skin." When KC came to my parent's house for my trial, she was so incredibly soothing and professional. I loved that she told me to tell her honestly if I didn't like anything, because it wouldn't hurt her feelings. Not very many artists will say that, and I'm truly so thankful to her for being transparent every step of the way. On the day of my wedding, she did the makeup on myself, my mom, my mother in law, and my best friend. Both my best friend and I have oily skin and acne, and my moms have more mature skin. Everyone absolutely raved about how they looked and felt, and I was incredibly pleased with how she made sure everyone was comfortable with the amount of makeup they were wearing. My makeup also lasted through me absolutely ugly crying (lol) and dancing the night away! I could barely tell that anything, if at all, had moved or smudged. At the end of the day, when I look back at my wedding photos, I'm so glad to still see me. KC is truly a master at highlighting the best parts of people's faces with makeup, while also camouflaging any insecurities. I never felt like I didn't look like me, and even my husband who isn't really a fan of makeup loved the way I looked as well!
